AA has what I believe to be a unique offering - it's easy to get a quotation online AND then to be able to speak to a knowledgeable, helpful and courteous member of their UK based staff to answer any queries. We recently changed to AA for 2 cars and house insurance and saved £500+. (And AA breakdown service is spot-on).

Policy was comprehensive and a t a decent price
Purchase of insurance was simple having been redirected from a price-comparison website. THe policy offered what I wanted and was at a decent price.

Excellent call handler
I was very impressed with the way my insurance enquiry was handled. I rang at 6.50pm and although you normally close at 7.00pm the call handler stayed on to ser up my insurance. Really impressed.
