I recently purchased car insurance online through the AA and I found it to be a fairly straightforward experience. The application process was simple to navigate, and I appreciated the flexibility to tailor the policy to meet my specific requirements.

However, I was disappointed by the account management side of things. If you already hold an existing policy with the AA, even if it is through a third party, such as breakdown cover, you are required to register using a completely separate email address. This makes managing different policies needlessly complicated and creates an unnecessary hurdle for existing customers when accessing the account through their App.

Certain add-ons originally looked like they came as standard, but actually needing adding for an extra cost.
