Surrey Gas recently installed our new boiler and did an amazing job. I couldn’t recommend them more. The team was professional, punctual, and incredibly tidy. They explained everything clearly and made the whole process stress-free. Great service!

Our boiler broke down and I was absolutely dreading the hassle and cost of getting it replaced. I contacted Surrey Gas and was really impressed from the start – they arranged for someone to come out quickly to assess whether it could be repaired or needed replacing.

The quote for a new boiler was actually much more reasonable than I expected, so we decided to go ahead. Mike came to fit it – he arrived promptly, was polite, courteous, and professional throughout. He dismantled our boiler cupboard to access the system but put everything back perfectly, and left no mess at all.

What really stood out was the care he took to make sure everything was working and that both my wife and I were happy. He stayed as long as we needed to answer all our questions, and didn’t leave until we were completely comfortable with how everything worked - including the new thermostat.

I hadn’t used Surrey Gas before, but I’ll definitely be using them again. In fact, I’ve already decided to book them in for the annual service. Genuinely excellent service from start to finish - highly recommended.

Our 19 year old gas boiler needed replacing as it could no longer be fixed. We took x3 quotes, including from the Surrey Gas team, and they came out the cheapest - however, they were by far the most informative about our options, and how to install our difficult to reach flue on the roof of our house. All booked in within a week, the engineer turned up spot on 8am as agreed, and he had everything up and running by lunchtime. Very clean and tidy installation, nothing was too much trouble.

We have had the boiler now for just over 2 weeks, and it is silently providing all our heating and hot water really efficiently and quietly. We have had absolutely no problems with the new boiler whatsoever, and I would highly recommend the team at Surrey Gas!

I needed my boiler replacing and asked for a quote George came round and was very professional and polite and gave me a quote. After receiving other quotes from other companies, I decided to go with Surrey Gas. They kept in contact and turned up promptly on the day they said they would I did a fantastic job. I highly recommend this company very polite and courteous and professional and answered all the questions that I had.

So I spoke to few company’s and chose to go with surrey gas as they where the only company that actually bothered to come and give me a quote and not hassle me George was very nice no pressure given at all and no hidden costs Lauren in the office was also very helpful with sorting out everything also accommodating a few extra bits I wanted doing
The price given was the price paid the work was completed within the timescale that George said it would be and to a high standard I am very happy with the job completed thank you surrey gas

Great service from our initial contact, engineers arrived on time and communication with Lauren was first class at all times. Initial survey carried out by George who was very knowledgeable and willing to spend time going through questions that I had. Jack was our fitter and he was brilliant, really friendly, worked hard and left the area he was working in clean and tidy. Great explanation of how to control the boiler. I recently used Surrey Gas for a boiler service, and while the technician who came today with the replacement parts was courteous and professional, my overall experience with the company has been very disappointing.

During the initial service appointment, I was not informed in advance that a failed reading could result in the boiler being switched off completely. This is a significant action with major consequences — particularly for households like mine with young children and an elderly parent. Had I been properly advised beforehand that the boiler could be isolated as a result of the service, I would have chosen to postpone the appointment until an appropriate time. I raised this concern with the original engineer, but rather than show understanding, he became confrontational and threatened to report the issue to the gas supplier unless I complied immediately. I felt pressured into accepting the quote on the spot just to avoid having my entire gas supply disconnected.

From a compliance and duty-of-care perspective, this is a clear failure in customer communication. Service providers have a responsibility to explain the possible implications of a failed service check before any work begins — especially if those implications include losing access to heating and hot water. The lack of clear communication left my family without these essentials for several days unnecessarily, despite the repair being scheduled.

Given the stress and disruption this caused, I believe compensation would be appropriate. I hope Surrey Gas takes this feedback seriously and reviews their customer communication process to ensure others are not left in a similar situation.

Efficient and friendly service providing the quotation and booking the boiler installation date. The engineer was on time, tidy and friendly. Excellent service.

Surrey Gas were so helpful, flexible and very professional at every step from choosing the right solution to installing it. They work well as a team and their people are very knowledgeable. We are really pleased with the result.
