Good credit means nothing to these clowns

Needed to get a commercial upright freezer as ours died, found the one we wanted, saw the banner for SilverChef and thought why not rent with option after 12 months to purchase, after supplying all the documents and photos that they asked for, they declined the application. We have finance on a number of big items (Coffee trailer, Car, Diesel Generator) Have never missed a single repayment and have never had an issue in obtaining finance. Not good enough obviously for SilverChef or the amount wasn't large enough for them to be bothered with. Went with another company and within an hour of 1 email everything was sorted. I will never recommend or use SilverChef ever again.

So annoying and needy!

So annoying! Despite explaining both verbally and in writing on multiple occasions that I am the CEO and not their contact person, I have constantly been emailed with questions, forms and requests for feedback almost to the point of harassment! And ours was a relatively minor contract so goodness knows what they are like on something major. I don't have time for needy and time wasting suppliers!

Incorrect invoice

I'm writing to express concern regarding our recent return and invoice. We sent back two unused items: a blender and double-head crepe machine. However, the invoice contained incorrect charges.

Fortunately, I caught the error, and you corrected it upon request. This experience raises concerns about the reliability of your billing process.

As valued customers, we expect accuracy and transparency. To maintain trust, we urge you to:

1.⁠ ⁠Review your invoicing process.
2.⁠ ⁠Ensure accuracy.
3.⁠ ⁠Communicate proactively.

We appreciate your prompt correction but encourage improvement to prevent similar incidents.

Be very cautious it’s not as good as it sounds

They are a great company if you’re a big corporation.
If your a small business don’t be fooled by the bells and whistles sounds great when you talk to them, really need to read between the lines, fine print it’s actually really bad. If you don’t you will be stung for $1000s in fees charges, cleaning fees, returning fees, repair fees, fees for charging fees haha and then pay gst on top of it all again and again and again.
I’ve used them in commercial kitchen with companies but they are a tax write off thing so money is no problem.

I’m not just another disgruntled who didn’t read the fine print, I did a 12mth contract, just to rent, $56k equipment $6k bond returned after the contract ended, paid in full never missed a payment
I paid a courier company $2k to return to their depot
Then their charges stung me
For purchased brand new and returned near new (have photo proof cause I’m not silly)
$4k return fee
$8k cleaning fee
$7k repair fee
$6 contact end fee
$35k in charges to return $56k of equipment that I had already paid more in rental fees

So beware the only way silverchef are good is purchase out right, rent to buy you will be stung the price of the equipment at the end and charges even after paying massive amounts of rent
And their short term rental will sting you every charge under the sun
Seen so many hospitality business go bankrupt because of the silverchef after fees and charges, tens of thousands in legal fees and charges, makes you wonder how the do it because they are for the big companies spends ridiculous amounts they can afford to screw over the small guys and still make a killing.
Make sure you really know what your getting yourself in for and make sure you have a tonne of disposable money to send back the products when your done cause you will need it and then some and gst on top of gst on top of ……..

Helping the small to large business

My experience with SilverChef, is that they really look after their customer's, and all the team members you speak to are so easy to deal with, the prices are very affordable, and the items (coffee machines) I've rented & I'm renting are in perfect condition. I would recommend SilverChef to anyone who is just starting out in business or anyone that just wants to upgrade their equipment. So thank you SilverChef, from 1 satisfied customers.

Your product selection is good

Your product selection is good. The only thing that irritates is emails are not being responded and I have to chase you up for a response. There are no excuses for this.

I rented Brullen Acai Machine for a 12…

I rented Brullen Acai Machine for a 12 months contract and purchased a few equipment. During consultation and finance application process I had Clear communications with Silver Chef team, finance as well as their nominated dealer called Atlantic Equipment. I had good experience up to the delivery.
I would not hesitate to recommend them.
