great products and terms it

great products and terms it gets a bit annoying that the products have to go through rechecking prior to shipping adding days to the delivery, other than that loving silverchef

They have imposed this sales on me

They have imposed this sales on me. There was lots of hidden costs, I came to know about after signing the contract and requested them not to go ahead with the contract.

They said, “sorry, it’s too late to cancel the request”. Remember, the dishwasher has not left the warehouse yet.

They charged me the rental for two dishwasher for three weeks because their transport company was not able to pick the old dishwasher up on time.

Hit you hard with fees

Yep hit you hard with all the processing fees we scrubbed our equipment clean and paid $300 for there company to collect it safely and my bond covered nothing!! READ THE FEES THEY CHARGE before considering renting equipment!! I was told when I called to check it all out I shouldn't owe anything if everything was in good order I had to have the display fridge I ordered repaired as it had a hole in the compressor so I am now worse off financially thanks to the fees.

The person i was dealing extremely untruthful and rude

He did not listen me carefully and made me very uncomfortable

In the end
I was right he was wrong
Just unprofessional person made my day worse

I would not recommend silverchef at…

I would not recommend silverchef at all. I was desperate for equipment when opening and paid them for a whole year before finding out how scammy they are my years worth of payment hadn't made a dent in the original cost.
Get a bank loan or credit card and do not give these guys your money.
They won't provide copies of contracts or paperwork and blatantly lie in emails when you call them out on things. We are currently getting legal advice. Steer clear

I have signed up for a rental pizza…

I have signed up for a rental pizza oven and just after signing the rental contract, i have requested to cancel the contract and was ready to pay the cleaning and transportation costs but they refused to cancel it and made us to keep the oven for 12 months.

Incompetent, unprofessional, unreliable

I'm a partner of a hospitality company and dealing with Silverchef might be one of the most frustrating experiences I've encountered (for reference I'm an accredited family law mediator, so believe me when I say this might be one of the most frustrating professional experiences I've had).

Our account manager has been absolutely incompetent, little to no contact and uses the excuse that he's new. The communication from the accounts team has been very inconsistent as well. We have been asked for every document and proof including our professional social media accounts and Google listings. I'm not a new customer, I have used them for equipment in the past as a sole trader and it hasn't been this difficult so I was willing to use them for a new community based venture.

However, after 3 months of back and forth, being ignored for weeks on end, stacks of documents being requested and sent and finally being told our new equipment lease is approved, we were declined by Silverchef last minute for the very weird reason that our utilities are in the company name and apparently we're not a hospitality business, which we've confirmed countless times. We have an established NZBN with a 5 year history of business.

Our credit is fine, but somehow trying to prove that we're a cafe is impossible - we've invited them to visit, we've sent them our lease agreement as well as the landlord's details and pretty much every document to prove we're legitimately a business. One of my business partners even sent over his home loan statement to prove we were real people!! So after being led on, we thankfully have backup from one of our suppliers. It has cost us $$$ to be waiting this long for the equipment that we were promised and approved for.

I'm trying to gauge what the tactic here is. Is it because they are such a unique offering that they can afford to be this confusing and unprofessional? The whole experience has left me feeling like I've been suspected of banking fraud or money laundering somewhere. Even buying a house with AML procedures isn't this painful. Yet our account manager kept making the excuse that he was new and was finding it hard? Not returning calls, going AWOL for weeks on end when you're a service that people depend on is absolutely unacceptable.

For a company that prides itself on "helping people achieve their dreams" it sure has been an absolute nightmare to try to do business with them.

Fuming!

After a tough year in hospitality and a major health scare I decided to close our bar / restaurant. We were pretty much broke with an ever increasing debt to the ATO. Although recovering from throat surgery I phoned them to arrange to pay of a debt I had to them for ending a lease early on a couple of pizza ovens (3k total outstanding including $600 “processing fees”). I authorised them to deduct $100 a week out of my personal account. They drained my account of every last cent . They left us with no money for food, gas for a 6 hour trip to the hospital, nothing, nada, nil. Don’t ever try and do the ‘right thing’ by these guys, they are downright dishonest, awful people. They don’t care about hospitality or the people struggling to survive in a very tough economic environment.

Disgusting company

Disgusting company. Dealt with Dan and James, they are brainless staff. This company got my information wrong for my accounts and refused to help me get into the account to get leased equipments and telling me they are now not off shift so they cant do anything to help. I been changing my leased equipments from silverchef to other companies as they are scamming us and i believe they are purposely doing this so i cant access to my accounts to move away from them. Just stay away from them.

Silverchef are complete scammers

Silverchef are complete scammers, I have been asking for two months for a copy of my statements and cost break down. The staff blatantly lie.
I have also found out they have been taking money in charity donations without my consent too. I said no one the phone and yet they have taken it anyway

I spoke their call centre today with…

I spoke their call centre today with Johan requesting payout figures. The payout figures provided were roughly $600 more than what it should have been. When probed, Johan was unable to explain the breakdown such a huge difference but mentioned that GST is not included and 4 week notice period needs to be given so that rent is also a sunk cost. None of these things were mentioned to us when we signed up. They are very quick to respond when signing people up for their rent / try / buy schemes but unable or unwilling to provide answers when prompted. When I explained the urgency behind my requesting (potential sale of business) he was unmoved. I asked for the manager - and I was advised that since they are closing in 10 mins, they are in a hurry to go home hence unable to help and manager would not come online. Utterly horrible service - would avoid fellow small businesses to read T&Cs before signing up this company. Some other review also state how they make "unintentional" billing mistakes and only correct when prompted by customers - this seems very dodgy business practice.

Applied for Lease buy of equipment

Applied for Lease buy of equipment, I was then informed it had been approved. Then a few days later get email saying it had been stopped no reason or call. I had to contact them finally spoke to a senior account manager who told me they needed more info which I supplied on 2 occasions. Told they would get back to me, after multiple emails and phone calls, text messages that have been ignored it’s now three weeks later and i still haven’t heard back. Have now got finance thru my bank much easier to deal with. I would have to say this is one of the worst customer experiences I have had in a very long time.
