Exemplary service . . again
I’ve been a Sharescope subscriber since 2000. Very nervous about the recent transition to their new platform. I needn’t have been, all went smoothly and is vastly superior. Did have a query this morning. Rang their helpdesk at 8:30, Tom resolved my problem in ten minutes. This is typical of the service I’ve always received.

Changing from the legacy product
Changing from the legacy product was a big move for me after 20 years, although I was confident that Sharescope help would be there for me because it always has been. Tom used Teamviewer to recreate what I have been accustomed to looking at and made the move very easy for me. Thank you Tom.

Let down and leaving after over 15 years
After over 15 years with Sharescope they let me down. Be warned that the new programme cannot deal properly with multi currency accounts, ie trading accounts which allow you to hold more than one currency. You have two possible options I won’t go into here but note you cannot both replicate the currency accounts AND get reliable CGT calculations. Sharescope is no longer fit for my purposes and I will be exiting.

Thank you for your feedback Martin, and we're sorry to hear you've had a frustrating experience – particularly given your loyalty to ShareScope over the past 15 years.
You're right that the new platform handles multi-currency differently to our legacy product. In new ShareScope, users can specify a portfolio currency at the point of creation, and multiple portfolios can be grouped together, allowing records to be amalgamated and viewed in a single converted currency. Although we have endeavoured to make the upgrade from Legacy as seamless as possible, we appreciate that this different approach may not suit all users moving over.
CGT calculations are only supported for transactional records held in Sterling. This is the case for ShareScope and Legacy ShareScope.
We're grateful for your valid feedback – it helps us understand where we need to focus our efforts as we continue to develop and improve the platform.

Invaluable investment tool
Fantastic software package for analysing and monitoring shares, funds, etfs, bonds, investment trusts, commodities etc.
Data rich for 'now' plus a mine of historical financial data.
I've been using it for 2 weeks to manage my investment portfolios and finding it invaluable. Takes some time to configure as you want it but worth the effort and Sharescope provide plenty of Tutorial videos and 30 mins 'one to one' training online which I had today.

Very helpful in giving assistance over the phone
I phoned up sharescope support when I encountered a problem using the new Sharescope system. I spoke to Peter Corrigan who very quickly and expertly sorted my problem out. He was very patient and explained everything clearly. I have always had similar experiences with other members of the sharescope team.

My recent interview was very helpful…
My recent interview was very helpful and constructive.
I found the new Sharescpoe, while offering more analytical facilities (which I scarcely use) than the legacy version, much less easy to use.
Trying to put together a summary sheet of my holdings, I find that I can no longer incorporate them all in one table, On one side there are the names and prices, but the number I hold and the total value are on the other side. Also, simple functions like printing are more complicated to find.
I have still to practice buying and selling, corporate activities etc.

We understand the transition can take a little adjustment, especially after long-term familiarity with the older layout. You’re right that holdings are structured differently in the new ShareScope, and it can feel unfamiliar at first. The same is true for functions like printing and handling trades or corporate actions, which are located and managed a little differently.
