My son's tutor, Luke, has gone above and beyond to cater to my son's needs. Siri has been tutoring my son, who is autistic, for over a year now, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. He absolutely loves their sessions and will happily sit and focus with her for 1.5 hours each week — something we honestly never imagined would be possible.

My son (now in GCSE year) has been studying with Luke for the past year and a half.

He has found working with Luke really inspiring and extremely helpful.

Luke instantly engaged with my son and really understood his educational needs, bonding with him and encouraging him. My son was immediately reassured and interested by the lessons.

Luke has been able to cover many subjects and each time provide a lesson which is adapted for my son’s needs (he has Dyslexia and Auditory Processing disorder). Luke is extremely thoughtful and diligent and really prepares each lesson carefully to enable my son to get the most out of each topic. Luke is also very kind to liaise with me where that is needed.

We highly recommend Luke as an extremely capable and experienced SEN teacher. My son and I have been delighted with every aspect of his teaching and care.

We started working with John Kimber at @SenSational Tutors three years ago to help our son Alex prepare for his SATs. At the time, Alex preferred female teachers, but he immediately connected with John, and we're so glad it happened. John helped Alex build confidence in his studies by understanding his ASD rather than fighting against it. He knew Alex would enjoy sharing about his week or discussing topics he liked, yet he keeps the lessons focused. They still do this, and Alex is now in Year 9. Our experience has been exceptional. John has a natural talent for connecting with students and bringing out their best. He is patient, calm, and very understanding, taking the time to learn about Alex’s strengths, challenges, and unique way of communicating. John provides as much feedback as needed and always informs us of any concerns.

I have a 5 year old autistic son, who is my only child. At the start of year one, he was very overwhelmed and although he was masking well at school, he was coming home and was biting, spitting and kicking me. I don't have any other children, let alone, a neurodivergent one and I really struggled on how to parent this. I knew he was struggling with his emotional regulation and sensory stimulation and I needed tools to teach him, but didn't have the tools myself to do so and I needed some help. I searched the web and came across SENSational tutors and reviewed the profiles of the individual tutors and came across Nicole's profile. With her experience, I felt she would be a great fit for us. I made contact immediately. I then had a conversation with Nicole so she could get a feel for what our needs and expectations were. We then agreed for her to come to ours and meet my son and see how things went and then we would take it from there. The meeting was very successful. My son, David and Nicole got along really well. She did some sensory activities with him and I noticed a difference in my son after the first session. He was calmer and really looked forward to his weekly sessions with Nicole. In the time that we spent with Nicole, she would not only support David, but she supported me to. She was teaching me how to structure sensory activities for him, gave me some good advice on resources to help with the sensory needs and with the emotional regulation. I have been applying all of the information that Nicole has taught me and my son is doing so well. He is no longer biting, spitting or kicking after school and is much more regulated. I can't thank her enough.

I've attented a session at Proud 2025 where Glynda shared her insights on AI and Inclusivity. I want to say a big THANK YOU! that was absolutely amazing! We don;t usually get a lot of session on inclusivity, at least I haven't come across any. That's why Glynda's session was so important - she shared her ideas on inclusivity, working with kids with SEND, how to make education more tailored to their needs. Simply amazing. Also, I loved Glynda as a presenter - so calm, thoughful, patient.... she didn't leave any questions we had unanswered! I would definitely try to attend more session with Glyna

Our Mentor Stuart has connected so well with my son who has complex needs. He has been unbelievably patient and had adapted methods to meet my child’s needs. He goes above and beyond and has become a friend to the whole family.

I attended Glynda’s session at the Proud to be a Teacher 2025 conference. Krista has been teaching my son with high functionning autism English for about two years, focusing on supporting him with his English Language and Literature - now in his GCSE years.
