I have to say Southampton sausage & cider fest was so bad I’d rather pull out my eyelashes with tweezers the cider was ridiculously priced let alone the price of hotdogs review said plenty of gluten free hotdogs there was 2 £6 hotdog No roll entertainment was rubbish looked more like a convention then a festival would never go again

My husband & I attended the so called festival on Saturday 11.2.23 We paid £15 each admission and it was total disappointment from beginning to end, They charged £6 a pint for some nice and some awful ciders, £6.50 for a hotdog served outside in what can only be described as pop up barbecue the breadbuns were very smalland the table with sauces on etc looked totally unhygienic spillages all over and not tidy at all. The room were the 1 band and a disco were playing was undersized and a safety risk as there was not enough seating for half the people there . It really wasn't a festival experience "big disappointment" 😪 Rip Off

£6 a pint of some nice and some dodgy ciders, £6.50 for hotdogs, no samples, £7.50 for a single gin or vodka - but the mixer is free!!! The room was oversized and cold, not enough seating, as it really wasn't a festival! Toilets probably up to festival standards but expected better at The Winter Gardens! Not sure what the £16 entry was for - absolute waste of money! And as for the moody female bouncers!!! If you're not happy in your job - jog on!

if you want to stand in a car park and eat hotdogs/drink cider at £6 a pop then this is the place for you!!!
Definitely not a "festival" .... I don't have the words to describe how much of a con this is.... no samples... no eating contest... nothing ... just overpriced cider and mehh hotdogs. The organisers should be ashamed... on their website they say they are charging entry to provide all this great stuff.... rubbish!!! It's just a swindle to get as much money as poss. The staff knew nothing about the ciders they were serving and look at you like an alien if you asked anything about it... omg I could spit im so angry I was conned into paying for it. Never again!

Error on their website trying to purchase 6 tickets for £82 and to try again only to find out we’d been charged 3 times, and terms state no refunds absolutely scandalous avoid avoid avoid

Absolutely crap rip off... Can't be bothered to write all the details but won't be returning.

I bought the early bird tickets so not to bad a price, at full I wouldn't have bought. However the venue was a good size, the music acts were amazing, atmosphere was brilliant. The queue for drinks looked a nightmare, but they had a member of staff who controlled the queue, and amazingly it went quite quick, and that was each time. The only thing that let it down is the toilets, had barely been 2 hours from opening and all toilet roll had gone, and no antibacterial wash, this should be constantly filled up, but this seems to let festivals down everywhere, so I'd like to think this could be improved. I didn't try the food as having more fun dancing!

GBP 15 ticket to enter. Then you need to pay for a pint of cider, which were unknown brands. One of sales girls didn't know where these ciders came from, she suggested to go to see LIDL
No choice of sausages, just one kind with two different sauces on top. It was scam.

Well organised event, good amount of toilets, lighting and security. All staff we had dealings with were friendly and polite.

However, once you are in and a captive audience the food and drink expensive and not great choice, no sweet things on offer and not enough soft drinks available for those not wanting alcohol. Bag searches take place to ensure you can only buy food and drink from their stalls and re-entry not allowed. Sausages in a cheap bun £7 each. Drinks expensive.
Tribute bands were hit and miss.
Overall it was ok but when charging £30 per ticket it made it too expensive.

Awful rip off prices, horrid food and rude staff. Not what I expected. Disgusting !

Love cider and love sausage (easy..). This was basically 3 vans cooking for 500 people which basically meant you waited an hour in a queue for a sausage in a bun?

Pointless.

Cider was ok but nothing like an actual real Ale/Cider event. Limited choice.

The whole thing just needs more staff. £30 a ticket JUST TO GET IN??? Put some more BBQ’s on, employ some more 16 year olds but do something.

You go to this event, you want to be able to grab a beer/cider and some food quickly. It’s not Woodstock, Coachella or Glastonbury?!?? It’s 400 overpaid people in a public park. A least make it easy.

Won’t be going again.

Lack of choice in sausages and overpri ing made for a poor festival even if it was free entry but to charge made for a terrible event . Went for a meal afterwards and that says so much about how overpriced and disappointing the Glasgow ( Sunday) event was will not waste My time returning

Poorly organised. Queue to get in was around 30 mins & they didn’t let people in until 6pm which was when the DJ was on so missed that.

Queue for Cider was 45 mins to an hour, cider was warm & overpriced. Sausage tents had massive queues so didn’t even get one. Wanted to watch the acts not queue all night.

Not well not organised at all, not enough stands, staff really slow, everything overpriced & just rather disappointing. Have never had to queue like that at any of the big festivals & you wouldn’t expect to at a tiny one like this.

Disappointing.
Good music but there were only 3 stands selling sausages and the queues were ridiculous. We had the apparent Bratwurst and it's was tasteless, and no extras came with it for £5.80.
There was one cider stand with a half an hour queue to get a drink, and the same for the prosecco bar which cost £12.00 for a plastic cup full !!
We had expectations of lots of stands scattered about with all sorts of different sausages from around the world, and the same for the cider.
Won't go again.

Paid £30 each, had to wait 15 minutes to get in.

Once in there was 3 stands selling cheap costco hotdogs and one stand with a few warm ciders.

Everything was overpriced and everything had a massive line. Waited about 30 minutes for my warm cider and another 20 for an awful hotdog.

Event is a joke

The music was great but the food and drink was over priced. £5 for a warm 400ml can of red stripe is not OK. Bar staff opened cans at point of purchase so buying them in bulk led to flat beer by the time we got to them. Expect to pay around £10 for snack sized servings from the food vendors. Queue to be served was 30 minutes at every stand.

Huddersfield sausage and cider festival last night. Great fun had by all in my group. Yes the food and drink is expensive however, we go to regular events, festivals and concerts therefore it's of no surprise to us. Great tribute acts too. Roll on beer & curry fest in July 😊

A fab night in Huddersfield last night, sausage, cider, fantastic music, amazing company, what else could you want! Will definitely be booking again for next year!!!

Every now and then, a new experience comes along to define a new paradigm, rewrite the rules and show the way for a new way of being for young and old alike. I believe Sausage and Cider Fest follows in the line of Woodstock, Acid House's The Second Summer of Love, and the War on Terror, to remold what it is to be alive on Planet Earth at this particular Juncture in time. Sausages, Cider and rollicking great tribute bands are the words that future (and dare I say, New) generations are going revolve around as an expression of their individuality and collective unity, both. Truly era defining. And New!
