I ordered food delivered to my home and I have to say that I thought the food was delicious. The food wasn't too spicy like many other Nigerian vendors. So far, I have had the jollof rice, dodo gizzard and the ayamase. I still have a few more to try from my order but the 3 I have tried so far has been exceptional.

I look forward to ordering more food from Tasty in the future.

We ordered via Uber eats from the Streatham branch. I get that online will be a tad more expensive but not at double the usual prices which has kept increasing. Then we were given beef roll at £3.74 because the puff puff had finished. The prices were truly obscene! Stewed chicken was chicken bones. Suya tasted like half seasoned beef.

The Christmas hamper: Bulk food was ordered to be picked up on Christmas Eve. Nowhere was it mentioned that ALL the food would be frozen with the use-by date only allowing a few days. absolutely shocking! I will never order the supposed "Christmas Hamper" again. The freshness was lost, and really defeats the object. if i wanted to serve frozen food to my guests , i would have made it myself and put it in my freezer!

Yesterday I ordered food from them, white rice and beans from the Herbert Road branch and I found a small NAIL in the food please act about your hygiene as this is a safety concern and my sister sometime back found a polythene bag in the white rice and beans still. Please act accordingly or am to report to the necessary authorities.

I ordered fried rice a quarter of a cooler and I ordered Jollof rice a quarter of a cooler. The jollof rice was fine but the quarter of a cooler fried rice had become slimy. My visitors couldn’t eat the fried rice, I had to chuck it in the bin I took a video and send a message to my contact on WhatsApp. My contact at Tasty African on WhatsApp. Advised that I emailed the support immediately with the attachment the video… I did a video and the video Could not be attached because it was a big file so I sent the email without the attachment and I forwarded my recorded video via WhatsApp to my contact at Tasty African. He has not read my message and no response. I am so disappointed.

Typically, I visit the Dartford location to pick up items like puff puff, fish, and chicken, and I've always been pleased with the quality. However, my recent experience with their ready meals was quite a letdown. Starting with the assorted meat stew, it seemed uncooked, almost as if the ingredients were merely blended and packed without any actual cooking. This resulted in a very uncomfortable and prolonged bathroom experience. The jolloff rice lacked any seasoning, and although I haven't tried their Togolese beans yet, I'm not optimistic. This experience is particularly disheartening, as I've never encountered any problems before.

Ok, I don’t know what’s going on with Tasty African Food right now.

I couldn’t wait to support you at Sainsbury’s and I was even telling people about you. At first, the food was delicious and the meat was cooked properly. But lately the meat hasn’t been cooked properly, and I’ve had to throw away my last two orders. The first time, I treated it as a one-off, but now I just walk past the section.

I really hope you’re reading the reviews and making improvements.

Also, please sort out your jollof rice.

It's puzzling that a restaurant would require an additional fee to simply warm the meal you purchased. Charging extra to heat a dish that should already be hot seems quite opportunistic.

I usually go to tasty for a quick bite so I am not going to complain about the quality as it is generally ok. However, I have a problem with the deceptive pricing of the bulk order. The bulk order is pick up and is free. However, when you get to checkout, there is an extra charge called tax. It is not VAT as it is <20%. This is not USA. In England, taxes are already added. If your prices have gone up, just price accordingly. Don't try and sneak an unpleasant surprise at checkout, calling it tax

Bought Tasty ayamase from Sainsbury's. Absolutely AWFUL. Couldn't even chew some of it. Never again

I like the food at The Tasty African Food in Streatham but I felt unwelcomed by one of the ladies serving us today. My son was hungry and took him to the place to try the patties. The lady seemed annoyed after I asked whats in those patties. There was no labels to know. I felt so upset after I paid £4.62 for 2 patties. There's usually some very friendly staffs but not today.

I ordered Egusi, which arrived frozen !!! Spoke to the restaurant and was told condescendingly that they do not send out frozen food, Madam !!! As in I am lying ??? only to hear someone bellowing from the back - that it's possible...I say AND ??? and she said Sorry, Ma. While I am not expecting a response, when you read this, Management speak to your staff !!!

I bought efo riro a few times from Sainsbury's and it was awful. Meat that's gone off and recently the beef has been so unbelievably small. And sometimes the beef is missing!
Overall tasteless and a rip off.
As for the ayamase - forget about it unless you want to eat oil and tripe! Shameless rip off.
Jollof rice- urrgh!!!! No seasoning. Tasteless!

I don't know what is happening of recent. Tasty used to be my favourite place when ordering food both in person and online. The taste of every food from jollof rice to eforiro, assorted meat stew is horrible. I had to throw away my last order. The meat was uncooked,stew was tasteless, I can't even begin to describe the jollof. This is not fair on customers and I do hope you will put your house in order. I order food because I want something different and nice and not some awful tasting food.

Dear Tasty,

I am highly disappointed with your ordering service.

I had called to place a bulk order of puff puff and was told i would be called back from catering.

Firstly I had called back and spoken with a staff who informed me that I should refresh website in 10 minutes to make the order.

After 30 minutes of refreshing said website,nothing! I have called back multiple times too both the catering department and the customer service department to no avail.

I am at a loss as to why ordering should be so complicated or confusing.

It would have been much better for me to be informed that my order cannot be made at this time and have to do something else with my precious time rather than giving me the bloody run around.

I will take my service elsewhere. Where other competitors can take phone orders or have a seamless website that enables you to do what you want. Tasty is here in 2025 acting like we are in 2001.

I normally go into the Dartford branch to get bits like puff puff, fish, chicken and I'm satisfied so that is why my experience of the ready meals is heart breaking. I'll start with the assorted meat stew. It was NOT cooked! It tasted as if they had just blended the ingredients and put straight into the container without cooking it. This also left me practically fighting for my life on the toilet for HOURS! The jolloff had no seasoning, I'm yet to taste their togolese beans but I'm not getting my hopes up. This is extremely disappointing as I said I haven't had any issues in the past.

Bought two portions of Togolese beans yesterday and both were served with stones. This is not the first time. It is wrong to be feeding customers with stones which could damage customers' health.

I’m reporting this because it’s the 2nd time of been deceived by 2 different sales ladies in Tasty at Barking & Ilford. Yesterday, 17/02/25 I was sold moyinmoyin in leaf wrapper (NOT in plastic) for £2.50. It wasn’t warmed up as I didn’t need the service but was told the price was £2.50. Today, 18/02/25, I visited the Barking branch; on enquiry, I was told that moyinmoyin in leaf wrapper costs £2:08 only, except I want it warmed at an additional/extra charge. I find such difference in price(s) of the same commodity within the same organisation/franchise disappointing and dishonest. I suggest that price list(s) of the different food items sold should be conspicuously displayed for customers to see in all the branches. I have since learnt to check the correctness in the number of portions of puff-puff sold, as I had once been sold fewer numbers than I paid for.
