Success. Once I got familiar with the booking system everything went well. The instructions for renting and using the Rug Doctor were perfect

Rug Doctor is only available by booking online in my area. This firstly involved creating an account i did not want. On arrival at the collection point (a Tesco Superstore) the Rug Doctor locker was empty. Rug doctor Customer service was closed due to my chosen booked collection being on a sunday and i had no recourse to resolve the issue. Given that my only space to clean my carpets was the day I had booked rug doctor for (having shifted an entire room of furniture in advance), my only option was to re-book and pay again for a second Rug Doctor machine for immediate collection from an adjacent locker. This was time consuming and costly, also entailing persuading store staff to verify in writing the first locker in their store was empty. There was hesitation from staff to do this as store staff have NO connection with Rug Doctor. All in all I spent 1.5 hours at the store trying to collect a rug doctor that should have taken 5 minutes. On using the machine that I paid for the second time, it quickly became apparent it hadnt been properly cleaned by previous user as it was immediately dropping lumps of wet dirty debris on my own carpet. I had to clean the hired machine before continuing to use it.
In fairness to Rug Doctor, customer service agreed a no quibble refund as soon as I contacted them. Refund received within a few days.

The machine cleaned really well but is wery heavy to use and difficult to carry up and down stairs but over all a very goodvclean

Easy and clear arrangements via email to collect machine from local supermarket. Machines are great. Had a problem and spoke to someone who was able to arrange a replacement machine and re-start the hire time so we didn't lose out.
Will definitely use again.

I collected the machine only to find there was no solution available to buy. I asked a member of staff if they had any more or knew what to do but she just shrugged at me, it was very rude! Therefore, absolute waste of money!

Removed a lot of muck from the carpets. Far more efficient than other machines. Need prior treatment for stains for stubborn areas but generally good. The only negative is that the machine was not well cleaned when I picked it up.

Everything easy to do and simply instructions to use. Did find the machine a bit heavy to lift in and out of the car.

Great machine and did the job well, but it was very dirty, we cleaned dog hairs etc from the filter and other areas. There needs to be a checking system in place

very easy to collect, use and drop back,the only thing I could nt see was how to empty it.

I hire out every 6 months and it’s a great machine. I have two dogs and yes my carpet gets a full cover of mud and dog hair. It’s the best machine going and I have try others.

We initially had a problem booking online. The machine we received was damaged. But we did get it returned and the money refunded. Much better experience hiring from Tesco, Osterley. Used Freephone and secured machine straightaway. Return was quick and easy too. Overall good value as well.

So easy to book online, straight forward instructions, quick and easy to use.

Great machine

The machine was so dirty. I spent a lot of time cleaning it. Has a lot of human hair and pet hair everywhere.
I don't understand why you don't clean it between rentals or at least after a few rentals.

The spin and stain remover spray and the foam are a waste of money.
I am not sure why they cost so much.

The machine was SO dirty, I'd had to spend an hour cleaning it before I could use it!! It was also missing a rivet on the handle which made it wobbly when drawing it backwards along a straight line.. while it was convenient, the fact that I had to rent it for 24hrs when I would have only needed it for 2-3hrs was also very irritating.. in short, I won't be renting a rug doctor again...
