Really happy with the service I was provided. The response time to my initial online query was almost immediate, and I was able to book a clearance service for the following day. I was even notified about a discount code I could apply so I received some money off which was a nice touch, especially at this time of the year! The 2 men that carried out the work were fantastic. They texted me to give me an ETA and arrived on time. They were really careful when moving large items out of my flat. I would highly recommend Rubbish Collectors if you want an efficient and quick service.

Company that uses deceptive tactics
This company uses a very practical mechanism to lie and illegally obtain more money! First they assist you online and ask you to send the photos, I sent the photos which were very clear, and they gave me a fee, the mistake is that they ask to pay in advance, and since they are registered, we trust that they know how to protect the client works in uk and how the misleading is treated. Well, we paid and they came, once here, after 3 minutes they tell us that there is more garbage than what the online "advisor" though, which advice us what the package to buy according to the pictures, but since we had already paid them, well That's when they use the illegal malice of putting you in the following situation, you pay more, or we leave (and without having told me, or clarifying it online), but we keep 50% of what you paid! That is to say, they told us to pay 200, and when they arrived they said that it was 200 more,And of course we told them no, that what they were doing was not an appropriate practice, and they left, and of course, they sent only half of the money, when nothing was explained to us about cancellation fees, nothing.
That is, they give you a reasonable fee, you pay them, (which was the mistake), they come and raise the price, if you accept they cheat you with double the price, if not, they steal half the money from you!
What leaves us thinking is that they don't know that in the UK you can't do that, and they had already done it before and didn't learn (see previous reviews).
We have remained patient, we have already sent 3 emails in which we ask that the rest of our money be sent to us, and even though it is a legal requirement to ask for the email of the person who deals with legal matter, since it is a legal requirement in UK to give it, they do not answer either, which further demonstrates that they do not have such a person and that they use the costumer's need to benefit from fraudulent schemes. We make it public not because of the 100 pounds that were illegally withheld from us (and that we are going to recover through legal means) but we do it so that the public do not fall for these scams and do not trust themselves to pay in advance! It is a shame that these types of people still operate in the UK.

These terms were clearly explained to you both during our telephone conversation and in the detailed written quotation you received.
On the day of the scheduled collection, the crew conducted a visual assessment of the waste at the site. It became immediately apparent that the actual volume, particularly due to the substantial amount of soil, far exceeded what was represented in the photographs you provided. Acting in accordance with their training and company policy, the crew promptly informed you of this issue and explained the resulting implications for the job.
Rather than proceed under the revised conditions, you made the decision to cancel the job on the spot. While we regret that you feel dissatisfied with the outcome, it is essential to note that a cancellation fee is entirely justified in this situation. This fee covers the costs incurred, including the crew’s time, fuel, and other operational expenses, which were unavoidable due to your request.
Given these facts, there is no basis for criticism of our team’s actions or policies. We provided clear terms, adhered to professional standards, and responded fairly to unforeseen circumstances caused by discrepancies in the information you initially supplied.

Unprofessional and disrespectful staff
Unprofessional and disrespectful staff. I sent pictures for a quote for my Mum’s house clearance and I said some items are resaleable and they wrote back saying none of it was resealable in a rude manner. It was a hurtful and unnecessary comment, I didn’t ask for an opinion only a quote for the job. This person doesn’t understand that a house clearance for a home that isn’t yours may be for a difficult and upsetting reason so should learn from that going forward and have some manners. Also it’s completely inaccurate based on an expert valuation on more than one item. I’ll expect an unprofessional response from them to this review based on how they have responded to other legitimate negative reviews. That in itself says a lots in itself.

Website does not work. They clearly are not interested to do business. I had to call multiple times because the website and the attendants were odious and unpleasant. If this is them on the phone you can imagine the attitude in person. Entirely avoidable

COMICAL SCAMMERS
COMICAL SCAMMERS - I booked half a van and for my rubbish to be collected. 2 men came to do the job. I overbooked the service quite generously. They knew I spoke to their boss who is a Brit, about possible partial refund so they proceeded to strategically place all the rubbish and the back of the van so when you stand in front of the trailer it looks full. I mean what a cheap, embarrassing way to rip a customer off. I took pictures and then said my rubbish was 480 kgs!! and they refused to refund any of it. the rubbish was around 180kg!! I mean - just your usual rubbish removal scammers...

Lana, thanks for your feedback. You were quoted 8 cubic yards up to 400 kg in weight, hence the load size of 8 cubic yards with weight allowance of 400 kg was booked.
After loading the rubbish the crew did show the 430 kg on scales loaded.
Please send us the evidence that the weight of your rubbish was 180 kg.
As far, as we are concerned, you were quoted correctly, and rubbish was removed in line with your quote.

Horrible Experience with an Unethical Company for Trash Removal
Be warned; do not use this service! They quoted me £154 for removing a 3-peson sofa set and a box fbed frame. On arrival charged they told me that I have to pay £65 extra for the box bed frame. It's the most unethical company I have ever seen. Be prepared to pay at least 1/3 -1/2 more than the quoted price and you can see this experience with other customers in several other reviews.
Before you book their service, they will call you regularly to check if I am interested or not. After you have paid the money upfront, they will go silent.
I will never use this rubbish removal service again. Worst experience with scammers and unethical company. Stay away form them, if you are looking for a ethical and reliable company for trash removal.

Did not arrive when said they would
Did not arrive when said they would . Left it so late that half of the rubbish that I had paid to be collected was stolen! ‘Sales’ department can’t or won’t help. Kept giving email for collections to which there is no response and apparently no phone number to contact them. To be fair the man in ‘sales’ did try to help at first before becoming noticeably irritated and saying there was nothing he could do. Odd way to run a company. I am now waiting for confirmation of a refund for the items I paid for to be collected that appear to have been ‘collected’ by someone else. There are literally hundreds of rubbish disposal companies to use I would give this one a swerve!
