5 Star Service
Richard Jones has been extremely helpful in dealing with the recycling of our waste products. Previously we organised a courier to collect the waste and bring it to us and then Datashred would collect from us. With Richards help we can organise a courier to collect the waste and deliver directly to Datashred, which stops a build up of waste in our factory. Since this was put in place it has ran seamlessly and Richard is always on hand to help. Great Service all round.

Failed to collect the bag and only responded after complain posted
UPDATE: Customer services emailed me shortly after this complaint was posted, and agreed to a refund. It is a shame I had to resort to TrustPilot to get a reaction, but in the end Datashred did the right thing.
This company is a joke. They took payment in October 2025 to collect one bag of shredding from an address in central London and as of now (2 March 2026) have failed to collect it or issue a refund.
When I call apparently only one person can deal with the issue and she is never available. Emails only generate a ticket and a reply about once a month with no resolution.
Zero level of accountability or customer service.
I contacted a different company who collected the confidential waste in 48 hours.

Will try to tie you into super long contracts with large notice periods that are hard to get out of. Once we finally managed to leave they did not bother to make last collection of our confidential waste but still charged us for it. We complained but were told we would have to pay extra for a new collection.

We're really sorry to hear that you’ve been left feeling this way about your contract and final collection. That would never be the experience we want our customers to have with Restore Datashred, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
Looking into your account, I can see that your service was set up on a fixed‑term agreement with a standard notice period. When you contacted us about cancelling, our team explained the process and confirmed the contract end date, as well as arranging the final collection that was due earlier this year.
Regarding the last visit, our records show that the driver attended site on the 28th Jan but as no one appeared to be on site at the time we were unable to collect the items. This was logged as an attempted collection, which is why the charge still appeared on your account.
I do however completely understand how frustrating this must have felt, especially when you were expecting that final confidential waste collection to go ahead as normal.
We would really like the opportunity to review this with you in more detail and see what we can do to reach a fair resolution, including looking again at the final invoice and options for any further collection you may need. I don't know what has happened Restore…
I don't know what has happened Restore Data but they have really gone downhill.
They didn't transfer us over from Shred on site and so we missed a shred and I had to chase. There didn't seem to be much urgency. Despite have a bi-weekly shred set up they just didn't show up.
We had to unfortunately leave them. Their only saving grace is Janice their administrator has been as helpful as she can be and clearly cares about her job.

Over the last few years i had decided…that i need to resolve a long running issue involving sensitive documents.
Over the last few years i had decided that the sensitive company documents that I hold needed to be destroyed. Somehow I managed to get a phone number and contacted Restore. My first interaction this week was with Chloe Tellitt and within a few days and by weeks end the professional, courtesy and professionalism offered by this company provided a complete resolution for my troubles, the driver who attended with a bespoke vehicle was fantastic polite and well presented with Chloe offering support all the way though this endeavour .
