Online process isn't great
The car insurance is absolutely fine, I made a change, which was dealt with efficiently, but the payment process was poor. I updated my credit card details on the online system the day before renewal payment was due to be taken (my card had been replaced due to fraud) but RAC still went to get payment from the old card, which of course failed, and then tried to charge me £20 for their mistake! I brought it to their attention, they made it a complaint so they could deal with it, saw that I had changed the card on the system when I said I had, refunded the £20 and confirmed payment on my new card for renewal. That would have been a 4* review but then a week later I get a letter saying payment had failed - I went online to check, all was good and the letter was obviously system generated from the first payment failure. Very irritating.

Truly Conned
We were quoted £400 pounds for our Mini Cooper Paceman then suddenly it changed to over _£800 pounds we were told this was an admin error on our first price so once the policy run,s out next year I will be finding another company we are also member,s of the rac but that makes no difference at 74 year,s old I will not be conned again the same amount of policy with Tesco would have been less than£300 .Mr M J Wharton
