David was recommended and overall a very good service, very thorough and polite. Report was very helpful and he was always available for questions. Went above and beyond.

I had a great experience with David. He was thorough, professional, and incredibly detail-oriented, picking up on issues I would never have noticed my. The report was clear, easy to understand, and helped me get everything sorted quickly with the developer. It gave me real peace of mind knowing my new home was checked so carefully. We were referred to QHC by our neighbour who reported a good experience working with them.

It was easy to make a booking and the surveyor, David, came on time, was professional and he left us with a detailed report that, in the main, Persimmon Homes took seriously and acted upon. He found far more snags than I expected, included some in areas we would never have seen (in the loft and on the roof, for example) and provided photos and, where needed, explanations to support his findings..

Was recommended by a colleague and service was fantastic. David was accommodating with delays of our completion and was very helpful explaining the issues and actions needed. David’s report was clear and concise and easy to understand. Would recommend to others. Thanks David.

We used David for our post completion snagging on our new build in Eaglescliffe which he completed pre completion and a day earlier than we had booked it. He was able to accommodate us on short notice. He found issues we wouldn’t have even noticed. We received the report the same evening. His report was very detailed with pictures and recommendations for the builders. I seen he was recommended on Facebook and we are so happy we chose David. I would highly recommend!

I was aware of David’s prolific recommendations from a Facebook group on a previous Miller Homes estate in Drighlington. So moving onto Morwick Springs in East Leeds, David was my first point of contact. He responded with fair pricing and a recommendation for a post completion inspection. With completion just before Christmas, David managed to book me in and assured me that I would have my Quality Home Check report before Taylor Wimpey’s Christmas shut down as there was a 10 day notice period for ‘snags’. My thorough report was with me within hours.
Not only did I appreciate the confidence that an expert can give on your whole property, but I was delighted with David’s verbal confirmation, that I had indeed moved into a quality new build home. This is down to the work of the builders and their in house pre inspection team. However, David’s detailed report with annotated photos, picked up a number of minor issues that have since been efficiently rectified. Money well spent with the added bonus and reassurance that your property is first class!
I must also applaud David for offering some excellent professional guidance before he had even seen my property! Before completion, I had noticed two external issues from my home demonstration visit. I contacted David and thanks to his expert guidance, I was knowledgable, confident and reassured with the builders’ efficient remedial work and timeline. This is my third new build home and David made the whole experience 100% perfect! David was excellent from start to finish. Very easy to book an appointment and made the process so simple. Visited our property and we received the report within 24 hrs. He outlined things we would never have seen on our own and we simply passed his report over to our builder to deal with. Highly recommend to take the stress out of moving into a new build property!

David was punctual for his appointment and delivered great service. His findings were things I would never have spotted, therefore a great value for money service.

I can’t recommend David Patterson from QHC highly enough. He’s been incredibly responsive and helpful, and managed to schedule our survey within just a few days. The survey took place today, and by early evening we already had his detailed report, followed by a call to provide advice on a couple of specific issues. He also made a point of reassuring us that, despite the points raised, we have a good, solid home.

David’s report is exceptionally thorough, and I’m so glad we decided to use his services. We had noticed a number of issues on recent viewings which we would have flagged with the builder, but David identified lots more that we either would never have spotted or would have felt uncomfortable raising for fear of being seen as overly fussy. 

Hopefully the builder will address everything, but if not, we now feel justified in pushing for a resolution because a professional has independently flagged these as concerns that need to be rectified.

I wasn’t entirely convinced we needed a snagger beforehand, but I’m now completely sold on the value of having one!

We picked QHC based on some initial searches online which returned some very positive feedback, and checking the Trustpilot reviews. Even though David wasn't immediately local to us, he accepted the job and gave us a quick date as we needed him to do the snagging straight after we completed. David was extremely punctual, early in fact, and started work straight away. He was extremely focused and diligent, working his way systematically around the house from ground floor to attic, as well as the external garage and garden. David is extremely knowledgeable in his field and he was able to point out issues we would never have known about. As soon as he finished, he left to get back to complete the report. We received the report that evening, clearly laid out and numbered with photos of each snag (he found 130). The report has been invaluable in getting issues resolved with the building company and we can't praise him enough for the quality of his service. Others have commented on the quality of the detail in the report. We have recommended him to others since.

I instructed David to carry out independent snagging inspections on two new-build properties I was in the process of purchasing. He came highly recommended by word of mouth, and I can see why.

Both inspections were thorough and picked up issues I simply would not have noticed myself. The reports were clear, detailed, and practical, and gave me a proper understanding of the condition of the properties at the time of inspection.

David is also very approachable after the inspection. He is happy to talk through the report, answer questions, and provide guidance, including confirming whether remedial works meet the relevant standards or not. That ongoing support is invaluable when dealing with new-build snagging.

I was also impressed to learn that someone who had previously used David was still able to contact him for advice two years after their inspection, and he was more than happy to help. It’s clear that he builds long-term relationships rather than treating inspections as a one-off service.

I wouldn’t purchase a new-build property in the future without an inspection from David and would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.
