My husband and I both work, and tried going through Nanny Lane to find a nanny for our 7 month old daughter. We found someone, met with her and we agreed on a start date. A couple weeks prior to the start date, I tried reaching out to this woman to see if she had any questions before starting. I texted her, no response. 3 days before I tried texting her again and my text messages came back as "failed" multiple times, so I tried calling. She didn't answer, so I left a voicemail. I didn't hear back, so I tried calling her again the next day. The same thing. So I went onto Nanny Lane and messaged her. She finally responded to me less than 48 hours before the start date telling me she relocated to another city due to a housing issue. I understand life happens, but it would have been nice to be given a heads up instead of her ghosting me, resulting in my husband and I needing to scramble last minute to find someone else. We thankfully were able to find someone else through another platform, but I want to let you know as we don't want another family to be faced with the same type of situation.

The website itself isn’t bad but once you get a job the payroll service is horrible! I had to wait 5 weeks to get paid. And even then it was under the table because they kept giving excuses for why I hadn’t been paid yet. The lady I nanny for dropped this payroll service and reported them to the IRS.

Nannylane made it possible for me to continue my career as a software engineer. We have found a wonderful nanny who my son loves! Thank you so much for this site.
