Wanted to check balance, card disappeared. Called the agent to get a balance and he stated I would receive an email. Never got the email. I had a 300 dollar recall from the Midea Air Conditioner recall. Absolute Scam.
Follow up, after the company reached out they were able to find my missing card which still had 67 dollars on it after being assured that it was all used up by their call in center. I am sure this was just a “glitch” not a company systematically loosing customers money and repeatedly denying it. Still haven’t been able to see a full accounting of the transactions.

I had a $50 gift card from this place - it expired in a year before I could use it- that is fast - I called to have it renewed and they said 'too bad it expired'. I asked where the money went - do they just keep it for themselves? They hung up on me when I asked. They are literally stealing money.
UPDATE 1 - And yea per your response below there is no email in my junk folder or anywhere else. You know what you are doing- you offer short dated gift cards and then pocket the money when they expire instead of extending the expiration date or issuing a new gift card- at least that what you are doing to me. Never again. This was a corporate gift to employees; I am an executive at my company and we will NEVER use this scammy rip off website again - nobody should. Look at your ratings on here- there is a reason there are so low!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
UPDATE 2- trust pilot now threatening to take my review down- I don’t know why. I’m. A real person, this really happened, this company behaves Iike a giant scam, they never sent me an email, avoid and do not use. LOOK AT THESE RVIEWS!

These scam artists give you a very short window to even use your funds. After a month they simply adjust your balance to zero and I'm assuming they keep your money. I lost $100 to their greedy policy. Avoid using this service as it is a scam.

Edited 3 days later: Phoned 'customer service' within 24 hrs. They were very polite, canceled my e-card and promised a replacement. 2 days later, still no code or new one! Somebody from myprepaidcenter, SEND ME EMAIL telling me how to get a replacement. Exactly what details do you need to provide me a replacement?
Edited 4/20: Phoned, got a 3rd replacement e-Mastercard, attempted to use via Amazon while online with myPrepaidCenter. Turns out its an "enticement card" that only a specific list of merchants will accept (Amazon, Apple, paypal, google, Target, fast food, etc NOT on that list). I requested a physical card (with attached fee!) 'cause I'm tired of the hassle. What a rip-off. Tell us in advance Amazon etc won't authorize our gift e-cards!

Apperently you cannot use these outside the US, or so it seems. Got two valued each at 250 Dollar from a Social Contast from a US based company. But since I am based in germany I don't think I can use them. or atleast I haven't found any shops thats accepting these.
So 500 Dollar down the drain. If there is a possible solution I would be really happy to see it. But I won't be calling overseas.
What solved it for me:
Activated the card within the card center, downloaded the app, registered the card in the app, from the app to Google Wallet. Used VPN from the US on my phone and then were able to use it.

Received 2 gift cards totaling $100 and they decline every time I use them. Now they are saying they have expired and will not fix it. What a scam. Take the money from peoples good will and just keep it all. Getting rich through a back door 5 finger discount!

I received an email with a code I needed to redeem. I have done this once before which worked perfectly. However, this time, I cannot login to you website, I cannot get a new password, and I cannot redeem my code. Everytime I do ANYTHING, it says: "err-1003: Oops. There's an error on our side. Please try again soon". For 3 days now. And it is not possible to get any help from your customer service as it is a joke and only AI.

I was given a 15 dollar prepaid card and i tried to use it on amazon, on cashapp, and to buy my kid a game and it kept declining everywhere. After reading these other review it makes me wonder whether this was worth the hassle. I want my money back! This makes no sense!

If I could give this site and card a zero I would. I was given a $150 visa card by my workplace which is a very large company. I activated the QR code and kept forgetting to use it. I finally tried to use it and it was denied. I just got off the phone with customer service and they tell me it was activated by someone with a different name. I am not sure if this is fraud or what. It has never been used and they will not send me a replacement card as it does not match what is in their system. This site is pathetic and the customer service is pathetic also. Do not give any of these gift cards out ever. Look at all of the negative reviews. Going to go to Better Business Bureau next

I received one of these virtual cards for almost $500 because one of my purchase items were re-called. I have almost $300 balance on the card and all the transactions keep getting declined.
I called them several times and no one picks up. I've literally been waiting for them to pick up for several hours at a time and they never respond. Absolute scam of a company. Give me my damn money.

I have sent many emails and many follow-ups,but there is still no action and no resolution.
This has been a horrible experience. The card was redeemed in December, and until now I still cannot access my money.
Why is it so difficult to release my money?
In your Trustpilot replies, you show that you care about customers, but in reality there is no real action — only standard responses and delays.

My virtual prepaid card has been blocked for several weeks.
I cannot use it at any merchant, not even on Amazon, and I am also unable to load any funds.
The card still has balance and does not expire until May 27, 2027.
I have tried to find support, but there is no working contact option available.
Please contact me and help resolve this issue as soon as possible.
This is very frustrating as I cannot access my own money.

I received the email notification, but it cannot be replied to (noreply address).
I did not receive any direct contact message.
Please provide a working contact method or resend a message where I can reply with my details.
My card is still not working.

I still have not received any response or any working contact method.
My card remains blocked, and I cannot access my funds. The balance on my card is approximately $1500, and the card is valid until May 2027.
This situation is extremely concerning, as I am unable to use or access my own money.
If this issue is not resolved immediately, I will escalate this matter to the appropriate authorities and file a formal complaint.
Please resolve this urgently.

Card had a short expiration date and we did not use it in time. Tried to got small extension, but forgot again. If money is given to you as a rebate, and these cards are used, then there should not be an expiration date. Company is making bank off those that don't use short dated card!
Update: My prepaid center reached out asking me to respond in 3 days and gave me a phone number to call. Called that number and asked for person who left me the response. Was told there is no one by that name and that the card cannot be reissued. Even though I was told it would be reissued the last time I called.

I have received several cards from My Prepaid Center due to settlements in various class action suits. Like others have noted, sometimes they get refused at various merchants for no clear reason. In order to get the value out of my cards, I followed the advice to use them to add to my gift card balance at Amazon.
On one card, I verified the available balance and tried to pay for a gift card for that amount, but the transaction was declined. When I logged back into MPC's web site, it showed a balance $0.90 lower than before, but there are no listed transactions or fees to account for that difference.
After not finding a way on the website to contact someone, I tried calling the number provided, but none of the options there allow speaking to a person to discuss this issue.
I feel like they are hoping I will just go away, but I don't feel it's right that they just lowered my balance spontaneously without any explanation.
UPDATE 4/10/2026:
As you can see, a rep from My Prepaid Center reached out to me after seeing this review. I provided the requested information, and after some time for research, MPC offered a resolution.
I was able to use the full value of the card plus an additional card that had very little value.
I am revising the score from one star to three. I still think that MPC needs to do some work to make it easier for customers to reach them when there is an issue, but at least after posting my experience here, MPC did reach out to me and take care of the issue.

I wish I could give them ZERO stars. Haven't used the card yet (got it for a Facebook class action suit) but am just trying like hell to get a human being to answer the phone to ask a few questions. Impossible!
Why is Facebook doing this to people, making them use this horrible card when money is owed to them? Who gets to keep the money when you finally give up? Facebook or My Prepaid Center?

Total scam. Can't transfer money off card, don't seem to be able to use it buy anything.
It's obvious that the business model is to keep the money, either for the company adding the money to the card or for the card company themselves.
These con artists really need investigating by the FTC
