I recently had a very frustrating experience with the MYNT card, which is used through Fortnox. While I want to praise the excellent customer service I received from Sebastian and the lady at the call center, who took my call and promptly escalated the issue, the overall situation was disappointing and caused significant disruptions to my business.
Misleading Communication & Poor Handling:
Out of the blue, I received an email informing me that my business credit limit had been suspended. However, the email lacked crucial details, such as the exact timing, or any advance notice. It appeared that the decision was based on our financial reports, which were published over six months ago. If such a decision was to be made, it should have been done when our reports were released, not suddenly, without any prior investigation or due diligence.
Incorrect Instructions:
To make matters worse, the email included incorrect instructions on how to top up the card. When I tried to follow the process, I was unable to do so and had to contact Fortnox, only to find out that the email was mistakenly sent and the information was incorrect. As a result, several payments were declined, including automated transactions linked to my business.
Customer Service: A Shining Light:
Despite all the frustrations, I want to highlight the fantastic support I received from Sebastian and the colleague who transferred my call. Their response and understanding were remarkable. While they couldn't solve the issue on the spot, they ensured it was resolved on the same day. It’s clear they truly value customer feedback and made a real effort to assist me. I wish the rest of the process had been as smooth as my interactions with them.
Overall Experience:
As a business owner with a background in business banking—working for 17 years in major banks specializing in credit risk and corporate accounts—I am very familiar with how communication should be handled, particularly in sensitive cases like this. The way MYNT handled this situation was unprofessional, and the communication lacked the necessary details, preparation, and foresight that any business should expect. For a company of this size, such mistakes are unacceptable, and I was left dealing with the fallout of missed payments and failed transactions for two days.
Lack of Key Features:
Finally, I want to mention that the MYNT card lacks some essential features that competitors like Pleo offer, particularly the ability to fetch receipts directly from your inbox and automatically suggest categories for purchases. These missing features create a significant manual workload, which is a major inconvenience for any business managing multiple transactions regularly.
In summary, this issue was eventually sorted out, but it should never have happened in the first place. I would advise MYNT to improve their communication processes, ensure accurate information is sent, and take a closer look at how they handle business accounts. While my overall experience was frustrating, I want to reiterate that the customer service provided by Sebastian and his colleague was excellent.
Just good to know for those who are contemplating a pay card service for their company, since the Mynt pay cards are marketed as normal credit/debit cards. Don't know if Swish or other cash apps are supported.
3 transaktioner, kunde inte ladda upp kvitto för transaktion nr 2 och 3. Studsade tillbaka till nr 1 hela tiden. Chatten löste problemet på mindre än 5 minuter, supertrevligt bemötande!
Easy to use product and if there is ever anything I'm confused by, they offer great support! Much recommended!
We use Mynt for many our companes' purchases with automatic integration with Fortnox bookkeeping. Very smooth. I was contacted once by the support to verify that a couple of international transactions were by purpose. Very proactive of them. Much appreciated!
Reseförsäkring ingår INTE, den ingår i många andra kort, framförallt företagskort där man spendera ganska mycket pengar. När jag ringde och ifrågasätte detta, fick jag ett jätte otrevligt och kort svar från en tjej på customer service som i stort sett svarade kort och nonchalant och hade en dålig attityd. Hon brydde sig inte alls att jag sa att jag skulle säga upp kortet. De förlorade precis en stor kund.

Mycket bra kundservice, trevligt bemötande och löste problem snabbt. Hade dock varit nice med en chat som inte är via deras hemsida, måste ju hålla koll på det där, man sitter ju och glor på den sidan hela tiden. men utöver det bra!
