Ordered tiles a year ago for over £500 I put the order on hold until my samples arrived (I had been pressured into paying for my order)...when my samples didn't arrive I cancelled my order but did not get my money back... I contacted them numerous times.this went on for months until I informed my bank. Unfortunately I was too late to claim on MasterCard. Gutted by these criminal fraudsters.

I too have been conned by MBW and Mr Steven Appleby its sole Director. I have tried to chase my money but Mr Appleby is a fraudsters and his lies and deceit appear to span years. I am in the process of raising a small claim against them but think legal loop holes may stop us from recovering anything, but I will keep trying. I have raised this with Companies House.

Companies House makes for some interesting reading if you know where to look. 7 Companies, 3 of which (and possibly now 4) dissolved. We are now left with an incomplete fireplace and we have a show home launch coming up in a couple of weeks so now desperately trying to find out who supplied the particular slips to MBW so we can finish the job.

The same has happened to us . Wish I’d read reviews first. On the Facebook page another person has said that the owner who’s name is mentioned there, once he has your money blocks you so the website emails etc looks like it’s closed . Rogue traders might be interested in him . We only ordered corners as my friend gave me slips that she had spare that she’d originally purchased from them ( one of the lucky ones!
I’ve since found out too that he buys them from another well known company then doubles the price ! I’ve been on their website and yes their prices are at least half of the price we paid !

Like everyone else. I ordered using PayPal and I suspected a rat a few weeks ago so contacted both the seller and subsequently through PayPal. Had PayPal acted sooner when I told them of the issues regarding not being able to contact seller then I might not be in position of trying to claim a refund from a business that has closed. I suspect they have reopened under a different name as I’ve been spammed by a similar company.

Utter con. Please avoid. Ordered £800+ worth of tiles. tried to chase my 'express delivery' emails came back with 'no valid email adress'. Their Website is no longer functioning. Now raised a PayPal dispute. Also contacting my solicitor regarding a small claims court action. AVOID.

Same problem as lots of other people. Over £300 down the drain. Order placed at start of January. Promised three or four delivery dates. None of them resulted in an actual delivery. Email communication was very poor. No telephone number. And now the website is down. Prior to purchase, the company was spamming my email account with BUY NOW! DISCOUNT! emails. I wish I hadn't fallen for it. I hope the people behind the company are all OK. I hope that we can also all get our money back through PayPal.

Wish I had the read the reviews first. Would have then stayed well away. Samples arrive quickly but that was it Paypal notified me good were marked as despatched and still nothing no way of communicating with them.

I wish I had read the reviews before placing my order. The samples were sent within days so I suspected nothing and I fear that may be their modus operandi. My main order was placed on 5/1/2023 on standard delivery, which they mentioned could be upto 20 working days, fine, was ok to wait as they were needed in Feb. 5th Feb, I emailed customer service asking for an update on delivery as it was 30 days from order and was told delivery would happen on 9th feb - no delivery was made. I have since, emailed twice and no response. There is no phone number to call, no online chat as stated and as of today, the website is defunct - definitely a fraud company so I have opened a dispute with paypal and hope to get my refund - project has of course been delayed and I will re-order the tiles from another company after checking reviews.

I ordered three different samples for a home project. The samples arrived promptly well packaged. The samples were great as they gave a clear idea of colour and texture making* it easy for me to select the look I was after.

Poor poor service. Paid £128 for express pallet delivery. Didn't even get a date had to chase them for that. Delivery day comes and goes with zero communication from them. Had to chase they and they didn't have a clue what was going on. Promised a 2nd delivery date which came and went with zero communication and now he has literally ignored my messages. I've had to open a PayPal dispute to request a refund. Would advise you to steer well clear of this company.

I ordered brick slips on jan 16th and have had 2delivery dates come and go but no slips have been delivered have sent at least 20 emails and no response there is no phone number to call they took nearly £800 of my money and delivered nothing Do not know how a company can treat there customers so badly and stay in business.AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

We ordered our slips in November and still waiting for delivery - we have had the kitchen designed, delivered and installed but cannot complete it. There is no number to call, the chat line is never working and have had no response to our current email

Ordered brick slips on 14 December 2022. Not heard anything so chased after Christmas. Got an email after I chased them saying they’d emailed me on 5 January 2023 to say stock would be in on 24 January 2023 (needless to say I never received such an email)! Emailed them on 25 January 2023 to see if stock arrived. Guess what? No reply. Asked for my money back by email. Guess what? You’ve guessed it, no reply. Bunch of charlatans. Solicitor letter on its way.

We ordered nearly £300 worth of slips a month ago. No communication... no telephone number. After numerous emails we were promised delivery by last Friday. By 3pm they hadn't arrived. A further email confirmed they were out for delivery and this could be up to 6pm. I waited 3 hours on site in the cold... they didn't come. They still haven't come and no explanation or apology has been given. I have given a final deadline for 6pm Friday. I would be happy to issue a review on the quality if they arrive but no excuses could be made for the poor customer service. I cannot recommend this company at the moment. Updated today 9th February. I was forced to cancel as I couldn't risk delaying the woodburner installation. In fairness to the company they have promptly refunded the full amount paid.

I ordered the Weathered White brick slip samples as I liked that there was depth to the tile and they were weathered. Disappointingly the samples arrived in one solid colour and didn’t look weathered at all.

Ordered a couple of samples before Christmas, there was no rush for the samples but i did have to chase up mid January. Once it was resolved by email, they gave me a date for the samples to arrive, which they did yesterday, so many thanks for sorting. Really good samples of white brick slips for my kitchen wall project.
