Jennifer at Murray Travel has helped us organise trips for a few years now. She is just so easy to chat to, ask questions and very patient. We always feel we get a holiday, short or long, that suits us. Thank you Jen :)

Just returned from a second ski holiday booked through Murray Travel, Jacqui at the Elgin branch was her usual very helpful self as were the entire team there.
From ensuring we were checked in for flights through to ensuring transfers etc ran smoothly, complete peace of mind booking through them.
Can highly recommend booking a holiday through Murray Travel.

I have now used Murray travel a number of times. They have always given me good information and suggestions on where to go, having listened to what I require from my holidays. They are happy to take the time to ensure I receive the best possible outcome. To date all my experiences in various locations have been very successful, from the location, to the hotel and the level of care I have received in order, to ensure a great holiday.

I had a fantastic experience booking our Lapland day trip with Jen! From first contact she was incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. I am so excited to now be in countdown to spending the most magical day with my children.

We always choose to use the personal service from local travel agents - this was the first time we have used Murray Travel Inverness and will certainly use them from now on. Thank you Martha and the rest of the Inverness team.
Their excellent customer service was always welcoming and friendly in person, on the phone or by email. They listened to our needs and requests, nothing was too much trouble. They helped us through our enquiries and explained things clearly and courteously which made us feel reassured and confident in our first holiday with them.

The company is to be applauded for the brave step in offering direct holidays from Inverness, instead of the usual Edinburgh/Glasgow flights for such trips. It was very much appreciated.
Having a limited number of chartered Air Baltic flights to Gran Canaria we were able to decide on which hotel and when, the whole holiday packaged and ABTA protected.
The flights were comfortable, and we had the seating we requested. Not much choice in the food offerings to suit us but we had what there was and, for a short haul, this wasn't a problem for us.
The hotel we chose (adults only) was lovely and we had a wonderful two weeks.
There were Murray travel reps at every stage in arriving/departure which again was very reassuring. There were a couple of small glitches initially (transfers/hotel reps) but were fed back to Murray Travel who sorted the small issues immediately. These were probably just teething problems for their new venture but their service overall could not be faulted.
Overall we are happy to rate our first holiday travel with Murray as first rate/5 stars and would heartily recommend. As a small business they always put their customers front and centre, in our experience, and that is important to us. We will definitely use them for our holiday breaks from now on.

We booked a city break to Kraków last year through Carla at Murray Travel. Our departure date was 20 March 2026 for 4 days.

Our group goes away for a city break every year, and we usually organise everything ourselves. However, this time we decided to use Murray Travel and what a difference Carla made.

Carla priced up a range of options for us, including different airport departures since we all live some distance apart. Once we’d chosen and booked, we were able to pay in instalments, which we’d definitely recommend as it meant we only needed spending money by the time we travelled.

Our flights were with EasyJet and we had speedy boarding - good seats, and an adequate luggage allowance included. Everything ran on time, even with the early start. Same on the way home.

The apartment was beautiful- spacious, well equipped, warm, spotless and very comfortable with large beds. It was centrally located and had 24-hour reception, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were also able to book excursions with convenient pick-ups directly from the apartment.

During our stay we visited several restaurants-Mr Jerry’s, Mamma Mia, and Piano Rouge and all were fantastic.

Excursions included Auschwitz & Salt Mines, on separate days - both excellent & very informative.

We’d highly recommend Kraków for a city break, and we’ll definitely be using Murray Travel again next year. It’s a brilliant company and they helped create such a great holiday. Lots of special memories made. Many thanks to Carla. We loved the card waiting for us when we arrived home! 😊

The service we received was first class. We sat down with advisor went through options, selected what we wanted and after that Murray's arranged everything. The easiest holiday we have ever been on. We will definitely be using them again. Thanks for a great holiday.

Our experience with Murry Travel was fantastic. The staff in the Nairn office were very professional & helpful, & kept us updated prior to departure & during the holiday. We will definitely be back.

I recently travelled from Inverness to Gran Canaria with Murray Travel, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, everything was so well organised and completely stress-free, which made the whole holiday even more enjoyable.

A special mention has to go to Susan, who was absolutely fantastic throughout. She was friendly, helpful, and always on hand to answer any questions, making sure everything ran smoothly. Her attention to detail and genuine care really made a difference.

I would 100% book with Murray Travel again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a hassle-free holiday. Thank you for such an amazing trip!

Murray Travel team were very helpful in arranging our AAT Kings tour of New Zealand, including adding extra days’ accommodation at the start and finish of the tour.
When there were issues about travelling home through Dubai, we were kept informed by the team of our options.

I booked a holiday with Gemma to Disneyland Paris and it was one of the best holidays we’d been on! She made the whole process so easy and gave us so much information to help make our stay enjoyable. We can’t wait to go back and will definitely be booking through Gemma again!

Just returned from 3 night trip to Seville organised by Jacqui , everything ran like clockwork hotel was excellent in central location. Have booked lots of holidays through murray travel and find they cannt do enough for you takes all the stress out of booking yourself.

We contacted Murray Travel about helping to book a long haul trip. We had an idea of where we wanted to go too but unsure of how to plan it. Tracy was amazing we gave her our budget, which places we would like to visit and she helped us with the choices of destinations, accommodation and trips. We flew to Kuala Lumpur first and then on to Phuket in Thailand. The trip was amazing, everything that Tracy organised couldnt have been better from flights to transfers. It wasnt just the trip that was 5star it was the service that Tracy and Murray travel provided - right down to what to do with Sim cards, luggage labels. The pack we received for travelling had all the documents we needed, contact numbers etc and the added bonus was water bottles and mobile phone gadgets for on the plane (all well used!) really thought out useful things. At every step we felt so confident with Murray travel and i would honestly highly recommend booking with them - the peace of mind and security travelling just made the trip more enjoyable. We would highly recommend booking with the Tracy and are already planning our next holiday. Thanks Tracy and Murray travel for everything.

Having had my flight from Dubai cancelled at the outset of hostilities in the Middle East I contacted Murray Travel. The help I received could not have been better. The time and energy the staff expended was over and above I had a right to expect.I was booked onto the first Emirates flight into Scotland with special assistance. I could not thank Gemma and Jacqui enough for their assistance.

Jacqui was extremely knowledgeable about our destination, gave lots of pointers and tips. Went out of her way to help with our bookings and ESTA'S.
Overall a very good experience and would recommend.

Travelled to Gran Canaria with Murray Travel on March 3rd from Inverness,it was great to be able to travel from our local airport rather than having to do a 4 hour journey to Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Jacqui and the girls in the Elgin office arranged everything for us and everything was seamless.
We were greeted at check in by very friendly Murray Travel staff, the flight was great, very comfy aircraft with wi fi on board 😀
On arrival at Gran Canaria, we were through and on the transfer coach within half an hour. Our hotel was amazing and we were looked after very well.
Journey home was equally stress free and we were home within 45 minutes of landing.

I travel on my own and I find Aimee so helpful and easy to speak to . Nothing too much trouble and she organises everything I need for my holiday which is a big help to me . I will be in touch with Aimee again for my next holiday

I would never normally write a negative review and have never felt the need to do so before. However, we are currently on what can only be described as a very stressful and disappointing holiday booked through Murray Travel (Inverness to Gran Canaria).

Unfortunately, when we arrived at the hotel it was nothing like the pictures or descriptions we were shown at the time of booking. There were a number of issues with the accommodation and the overall condition of the hotel was poor considering the price that was paid.

In addition to this, the accommodation did not meet the mobility needs we had clearly explained at the time of booking for my grandmother. This made the hotel unsuitable for our circumstances and added further stress to what should have been a relaxing holiday.

We reported these problems to Murray Travel immediately, however the response we received was incredibly disappointing. We were told that a representative would visit us the night we contacted them, but this never happened. Instead, we were left waiting for over 24 hours with very little communication or updates despite repeatedly contacting the agency ourselves.

Eventually we were told that we could move hotels, but only at additional cost. Given that the accommodation we were sold was clearly not as described and unsuitable for our needs, this felt extremely unfair.

In the end we had no choice but to move hotels at additional cost just to try and salvage what was left of our holiday. Unfortunately, we also experienced problems checking in to the new hotel, and it has not been much better despite the additional cost.

The lack of communication and support from Murray Travel during this situation has been extremely disappointing. One of the main reasons people book through a travel agent is for support when things go wrong, and sadly we did not feel supported at all.

Overall we are very disappointed with both the accommodation we were sold and the level of customer service we received.

Once again, Tony came up trumps with hotel suggestion based on his own experience from years before. The team in Nairn don’t just arrange a holiday, they take real interest and care and when things don’t go quite to plan, they do all they can to help.
