Terrible-Avoid like the plague.
Tried to keep a large amount of our deposit for cleaning when the property was spotless and we had receipts.
Thankfully the Deposit Protection Service refunded us in full.

Our dad recently passed away, unexpectedly in his rented accommodation. As a result of his passing, there has been some damage to a small area of carpet which was left unsalvagable.

We kept Mundys well informed throughout, only to have a young gentleman from the lettings department asking if it could be cleaned. I diplomatically explained this wouldn't be possible, to which he continued to try and encourage me to use cleaning companies on his reccomendation.
He also advised he could probably clean it as he had "no emotional attachment".

We eventually agreed that the carpet could be removed. Myself and my husband offered to replace it which was initially agreed. An hour later, he called to say the landlord didn't want this and that we would need to contribute to the cost of replacing a much larger area. He wasn't able to tell us how this would be fairly calculated, he followed that by telling us rent was due in a week and we would be liable for that if the property was not cleared by then.

No condolences, no respect and zero empathy. He advised he would contact us. He didn't.

We have rang the company since to ask for support in finding meters to take final readings and to continue to resolve the issues with the carpet. They were not able to tell us how to access these or about how we could resolve the outstanding issues. I also complained about the attitude of this young gentleman.

I was finally offered some condolences and reassured by the manager that she would take over, deal with any questions and get back to me promptly with a response. But of course, they didn't ring. There had also been documentations on their systems of supposed conversations with the young gentleman that had never happened.

Today I handed back the keys to the property. I sincerely hope that they should never find themselves in a similar position in future with such an appalling lack of support and empathy for an incredibly stressful situation. I would warn anyone who may be considering renting property through them in future to consider an alternative.

Awful experience . As a buyer looking to buy a property from them ,the Agent was not happy for me to ask questions about the property I was looking to make an offer on. Rang me to say the property in question had been sold and sounded very childish . I would not recommend.

Have rented our house through Mundys. Faultless in the process of setting everything up, advising us on issues that arose and and helping us to become first time Landlords.

My fiancé and I have just moved in to a rental property and Mundys estate agent have been a pleasure to work with, moving house is a very stressful time and they were absolutely fantastic, Donna in particular was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend Mundys

Happy with provided service , rent out property quickly and hassle free

There isn't a zero mark otherwise I would've given it as a score. Where to start, maybe best place is when you finish really, don't expect, whatever you do to the property to be enough in Mundys eyes to hand it back, they want your deposit and will make sure they get it, no compromise, no negotiation, just bullying tactics to make you pay. I am currently arguing about carpets I paid to have cleaned and deodorised, sent them the receipt, they allegedly stated that they still smelt and sent in another carpet cleaner £35 more than the one I paid for. It doesn't stipulate, which carpet cleaner you get, so how can you argue ? They also got in a gardener after the garden had been cleared £185 quids worth of gardener for the day (I want his job) , they tried to charge me extra rent, after putting in a tenant and me buying myself out of the contract. Whilst in the property they did fix things promptly, but you try leaving without them hounding you and being rude and argumentative, good luck with that, I would steer well clear from then and their greed.

Whatever you do stay well clear of Mundys.
All they are interested in is making money, quickly.
My house was grossly undervalued by their salesman even though a house close by was valued by a professional agent at over £125,000 more. The said house was smaller, less land and on a main road. When I realised the errors of my way I tried to employ another agent to work along side Mundys. I was informed that this would not be possible.
My house sold within a day to the first person who viewed. "I can`t believe that I am getting so much property for such a resonable price" he said. Nine independant estate agents, that I subsequently contacted, all valued the property at a much higher price.

Similar to post below. My husband and I were interested in purchasing a home. Mundys had us in a bidding war prior to telling us there was someone else interested in the property. In fact they told us they had no other interest in the house. We found out someone else was putting in offers too. We felt our offers were to drive up someone else’s. completely dishonest. Will never trust them or buy from them.

Entered us into a bidding war when we were the first to place an asking price offer and after a lot of phone calls and emails to get feedback on our offer we only found out at the very last minute that there was another interested buyer. We feel that our offer was used as a base to get more money. A bit of honesty goes a long way. Left feeling quite frustrated and a bit sad :( :( :(

We were renting an apartment at Lincoln via Mundys. The service was professional from contracting, depositing to sorting out the bills etc. They are well organized and respond quickly to any queries. Highly recommended!

Treated really poorly, had to chase for every answer and then told we couldn't rent the property we wanted because we had adverse credit in the past which is fine but they were awful in leaving us waiting and not willing to work with us. They aren't willing to work with you or understand your situation despite earning 100k plus, having references and offering rent up front. Treatment was awful and made me cry on more than one occasion. They've now managed to do the same to a relative, they can pay the years rent up front with savings whilst selling their home and have just been ignored and offered a different property instead (a horrible one which is an insult) of Mundys just being honest with them. They have perfect credit so no reason to be horrible. Why be so rude and treat people like second rate citizens when they aren't?!?! Avoid for rentals

We are current tenants and have 0 faults with the service and care provided by Mundys. We have rented with other letting agents in Lincoln and we couldn’t recommend Mundys more. Big thanks to Fabienne who dealt with our concerns swiftly and made us feel secure and happy. Another big thanks to Emily for quick responses and shoutout to the whole team for making our moving process as stress free as possible! We look forward to continue renting with Mundys

Highly recommend! We put our property on the market just before lock down-Barbara was amazing. During difficult circumstances for ourselves and the pandemic happening, Mundy's continued to communicate with us and got things going quickly once lock down eased.
Lorraine was very good at negotiating and finally got us a realistic offer. Everything went through quickly and smoothly- Vicki continued to communicate either by telephone or email. She also organised some clearance of furniture for charity. Someone was always there in the office to answer the telephone and they always returned calls. Always had accompanied viewings. Thank you all the team.

Absolutely delighted with the service from Mundys from start to finish. Tom Bell valued our home and we were delighted with his recommendation to show the back of the house rather than the front in the opening photograph and with the price we agreed to market at, most professional as was Lorraine and Vicky. Always kept in the touch with us and followed up immediately after any viewings. We were recommended to Mundys by Tina Pepper who was delighted and you sold her house as you did for her. We previously marketed with Bells and decided to change to Mundys after we had no success. Mundys have done us proud and found us a buyer and it's allowed us to move to out beloved Woodhall Spa, thank you so much. Highly recommend!

A friend recommended Mundys to us and we have not been disappointed. Their service has been excellent and communication has been outstanding, I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all, we spoke to several staff members and each one was first class. I would not hesitate in recommending Mundys.

Avoid at all cost. I rented a house from these scumbags a couple of years ago. They hid mould with furniture. There was an insect infestation that happened between me viewing and moving in. The washing machine would leak the electric would cut out (not metered) and the rude individual in the office thought she could diagnose and have me fix the electrical fault over the phone with neither of us being qualified. Save yourselves the headache and buy a tent.

The worse estate agents I’ve ever delt with. Put my house on the market with Mundys as I was buying a new build off them so thought they would push for a quick sale. I had agreed a price on the new build with the local builder who said I would have first refusal. 5 months on the market and 1 viewing that wasn’t even serious I lost the house in Skellingthorpe as Mundys agreed to sell it behind my back without consulting me for £25000 more than the original asking price. I went with another local estate agents who had three offers over the asking price within the first week of it being on the market at the same price! When I rang Mundys they said it’s just the market is quiet at the moment and they are doing everything they can to promote it. Even the estate agents I sold with said you shouldn’t of had any problems selling this house with them. I am looking to take this further as I believe this could be happening to a lot of customers and not even realising.
