So Helpful

We have lived in a house for 5 years which was managed by Mundys and during that time there have been several maintenance issues which have been dealt with very promptly so inconvenience was at a minimum.
We have now left to buy our own house and John Mulhall was responsible for the inspection and the return of our deposit and he was so helpful throughout, keeping us informed and chasing up the landlord to reply and guiding us through the Deposit Protection Service procedure to enable us to receive the refund.
We are very grateful to John for all his help.

Amazing

Amazing! We have just finished the process of selling - and moving - my 86 year old mother. From professional valuation - not hyperactive sales person - who actually looked at the outside space not just the number of bedrooms, to the photographer and brochure the start was brilliant. But it’s what came next that has blown me away. Lorraine and Claire you are special people. Yes, you have a job to do but you cared! You understood she was old and she’d been there 52 years. You understood it was hard sometimes. You were patient but still got the job done when it needed doing. Can’t fault anyone at Mundy’s Lincoln, as I know you looked after our buyer too. You are very good at what you do! Thank you!!! Would recommend you to anyone ( as some old friends recommended you to me!)

Thorough and Efficient Management

Mundys have been brilliant at managing my property. So thorough and fair with landlord and tenant. I'm always notified straight away if the tenant has any issues and they are quick to sort contractors to fix these.
Also, recently i had a tenant move out and we needed to claim for cleaning. Jack from Mundys made the deposit return process smooth and straightforward. Thank you!

I just wanted to thank Jack Mulhall at Mundys for making the deposit return process painless.
It has been a pleasure dealing with Jack and as a tenant who has had some not so great experiences over the last 7 years, this interaction has been seamless, painless and quick. Thank you Jack and I hope you find a dream tenant for the property.

Amazing out of hours experience

Had an issue with my boiler at 10:30pm, I rang the out of hours number and jack was really helpful.
As my partner has a spinal cord injury we couldn't be left without any heat so he travelled down to my property to drop off a heater for us, while he was here he looked at the boiler to see if there was anything he could do to help. He was so efficient.

Highly Recommended Letting Agent

We have been using Mundy's for a few years now as a letting agent for our properties. They've been quick to find new tenants, and sort out all the relevant paperwork that goes with this. Issues, of both ours and our tenants, are dealt with quickly, and Jack is always very helpful. We would recommend that you use Mundy's as your letting agent too

Quick to respond to emergencies

When I got locked out of my house on a cold night, Jack picked up the phone straight away and was able to get to me with a spare key in less than half an hour!

I wanted to take a moment to share my…

I wanted to take a moment to share my positive experience with Mundys after renting a house from them for 2.5 years. While the house itself was an older property and not in the best condition, the team at Mundys consistently provided excellent support. Whenever we faced any issues, they were quick to respond and resolved everything efficiently, which really made a difference in our living experience.
Now that we've moved to another house, we were pleased to have our deposit fully returned. I truly recommend them to anyone looking for a rental agency. Thank you, Mundys!

Mundys have been so helpful from day…

Mundys have been so helpful from day one of finding a rented home, organising all the paperwork and corresponding between myself and the landlord when things in the property needed attention. Mundys have an online portal and communication via email and phone is always prompt and reliable, mitigating any stress when balancing university, placements and life events. The last two years have been so easy when renting with Mundys.

Out of hours was a life saver

I had an issue with my door that broke that left me stranded outside in the rain at 10pm.
I called mundys out of hours and was saved by jack, Who was professional and understanding! He was fast with getting someone out to me to help and made sure that I got back into my home. Was one of the best experiences I have had with this sort of thing. 10/10, so glad my issue was fixed in no time! Thank you!

Do not rent with Mundys unless your happy with half a job

Our experience with Mundys lettings has been absolutely shocking, unprofessional and lazy.
We moved into our rented accommodation, where after meeting the staff who handed the keys he saw the state of the house and immediately left as fast as he could. It was filthy, dead spiders and cobwebs everywhere, stains on the walls and a carpet completely full of dust and hair in all rooms and a garden full of dead plants and rotten decking.

The inventory report we sent back was met with “Yes, we saw all these before you moved in, this is fine”
We called them directly to which they said “We can get cleaners in tomorrow” We said to save it for the end of the tenancy as we had 6 family members with us to help us move in that were now cleaning the house instead. Everything was documented and remaining maintenance issues were brought up and chased repeatedly over the next few months with little to no response.

They eventually sent out Jack Mulhall to visit us to discuss all the maintenance issues that needed doing around the house. Full detailed list of the damages, mold, infestations etc. He promised he’d take this list and get a contractor to sort them. He never did. 3 months of chasing and we only got a tap handle fixed after the landlord contacted us directly as Mundys were not responding to him either.

Coming to our first winter we found out we’re getting no longer getting hot water and the immersion tank is leaking. After an engineer visited us he told us the Tanks split and will need replacing ASAP.
After raising with Mundys we were given the advice of “Just put a towel down, my tank does that too”. So, despite the tradesman saying “Get it changed ASAP” we had to chase Mundys for a month before eventually threatening legal action to get it replaced and have the heating on.

After this we started to look at place to move out to. The rest of the tenancy we resolved most of the issues ourselves except for a water tank leak that had damaged the ceiling.
When it came to moving out, we got in touch with them offering for them to get cleaners in as they said they would when we moved in their response being “We expect it the same condition of as the inventory”. Zero responsibility, zero accountability for their mistakes from this response.
So, we cleaned the house and left. The inspection was done by Jack Mulhall who fired us an e-mail saying:
We want to charge for:
Cleaning
Gardening
Damages that were there when the tenancy started.

We disputed the charges and were told he would get a quote. It was delayed for a month with each week and e-mail saying “I’ll have it to you tomorrow / next week / next Thursday”
The reason was because the contractor was on holiday. He didn’t tell us this though, we asked why he didn’t get in touch with a different contractor and was ignored.

We then added his line manager in on the e-mail chain, Hymie. Our entire tenancy was handled poorly so escalating it seemed the only way to maybe avoid these issues for others and maybe even speeding up getting our deposit back instead of all the issues being swept under the rug and telling everyone the tenancy went fine.
The quote came through we got the cleaning waived but nothing else. Despite providing evidence for everything, we got “We think the charges are fair” back from Jack with no comments on the evidence we had sent. We even brought up that he came to the house to see some of these damages and of course, he never responded to them.
Eventually after more evidence and arguments we finally got the charges waived. A month of wasted time that would have been resolved significantly faster if Mundys took any responsibility throughout the tenancy.
We also got a resolution e-mail from Hymie saying “I write further to the below correspondence. I understand that your concerns have been addressed and the tenancy deposit has now been finalised. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any further grievances.”

I can understand why the company is like this, if the partners for the company don’t acknowledge anything either.
Overall,
Extremely poor communication, its easier to ring the landlord and get an answer than it is to go through Mundys.
Will not follow through with promises made even if there is a paper trail.
Will not give any reasons for delays and expect you to be happy with bare minimum responses
Will happily avoid spending money where possible even if they risk tenants health or business reputation
Zero accountability and responsibility

Rent with anyone else. You’ll have significantly less headaches.

Please stay clear

Please stay clear. I was given the property in extremely poor condition. It was dirty, there was no refresher of paint like they told me, the shower was leaking through to downstairs and the toilet was broken but again when I picked up the keys no one told me. No one came to fix these, we had to do this ourselves. I sent in a complaint which was pointless as they just didn’t care. I’ve left the tenancy when I could and left the property in good condition because I wanted to make sure that I got my deposit back to be told they won’t be because I didn’t clean one window (not them all just one) and the garden needed tidying but they couldn’t specify what needed doing in the garden and I have proof that my partner who is a landscaper did this. Now I’m having to fight through DPS. This estate agents don’t care about people or their welfare only about getting money. Just to add to this as well the staff are so rude! They literally have no customer service skills it’s really bloody shocking

Unprofessional conduct

Unprofessional conduct, over value houses, failure to disclose potential hazardous material inside a house and use underhand tactics to pressure sales and even contact other estate agents for information on other houses you may be potentially be interested in. Rude and inappropriate. Do not recommend!

Selling your House? then don't waste your time with Mundys

If you are thinking of selling your house I can not recommend Mundys. They significantly over valued my house, but they came across as being very confident and said 'the first party to view would buy', so I naturally signed up to them. However, they did not generate a single enquiry or viewing. At each monthly review all they had to say was we think it might be a little high and suggested reducing it by £10K. So after 5 months of inactivity and a reduction of £45K I have had to terminate our agreement. They have been totally ineffective and wasted my time. Despite telling me all the places they could advertise the property, they only put it on Rightmove and their own site.

Avoid - will try anything to keep deposits

Awful service when it came to deposit return. Very minor damage to a carpet was detected on our check out (so minor I had never noticed it in the two years I lived there), I contested this as I knew I wasn’t responsible for it. I insisted on this and that it must have been there upon move in, despite the inventory clerk they hired not picking it up. They would not accept this and said they ‘were in a strong position to go to the DPS for dispute’, I was happy to do this as I wanted it to be investigated properly and refused to give up £100 of my deposit. And what a surprise, when they were gathering their evidence they found that the damage was actually present on the last tenant’s check out, something they absolutely should have checked as soon as I contested it. Luckily I did not back down, but if I had I would have paid them £100 for something that I was not at fault for. They then proceeded to blame me for not checking my inventory thoroughly enough and did not take accountability at all.
