Poor Technical and Customer Service Support.
Could not understand the person I was talking to (poor English). They would not allow me to ask the question I had. Rather, they just kept reading the instructions on how to install, ignoring my plea to ask a question. The person I spoke with truly did not care to help resolve my issue.
The person I spoke with at Customer Service was no better. Again, difficult to understand what they were saying. Not once did they ask why I was returning the item. They did not try to save the sale. Not a care in the world from the people representing Lorex.

issue viewing my cameras on mobile phone
I had an issue viewing my cameras on my mobile phone and the agent helped me out and it didn't take hours. My matter was resolved within 15 minutes. She was friendly and patient (I don't know a lot about technical stuff).

We have had our cameras for a few years. Needed help recently and they walked me through it step by step. Very helpful and polite. All issues resolved promptly.

Not Worth the Money
Worked pretty well for a year or two. Then I stopped receiving notifications. No matter what settings I change, how many times I reset, uninstall and reinstall app, etc. it will not reliably send push notifications. It works very occasionally and sporadically. My cameras are tripped multiple times a day, and I haven't received a notification in over a month.

Very good installation support
I have set up many, many IP based security systems but this one wasn't going well. Reluctantly I called tech support. The technician clearly had been through some difficult technical support issues previously and didn't get flustered. We tried several scenarios to enable WiFi communications between my phone and the doorbell and he suggested "forgetting" the 2.4 GHz network on my Android phone and after that tip, the installation went smoothly. All is well post installation and I'm happy with the product & support.
Lorex NVR - Unreliable
After 4 years my NVR stopped working. Tech support troubleshooted and concluded something internal went bad. The recommendation was to transfer me to sales to purchase a new box. Why would I ever purchase a Lorex system again? For what I paid for the NVR with 9 cameras, it should last longer that 4 years.

Pre-wire for future camera system
Just needed info so I could pre-wire for cameras during construction. Technician was helpful and answered my questions.

First class support from a helpful and patient operator. Although the quality of the phone call was not the best they repeated anything that was unclear and made sure the reason for my call was fully resolved.
Prompt, courteous and efficient service
The tech support person picked up my call immediately and very patiently guided me through restoring my forgotten admin password. I couldn't have hoped for a better service and am very grateful.

Deserves 0 stars. Brought a bundle with 6 cameras and a recorder. 1 camera clearly is faulty as light will not come on when movement at nighttime. Was told could not replace until Tech Support had done troubleshooting. After over five and a half hours on the telephone over several nights with Tech Support I am still no further forward. Am going round in circles checking the same things over and over. They say anything to get me off the phone and then don't call me back. Disgusting service. Wish I had never brought from them. Do not recommend.

You guys get 2 stars only your cameras are great but your technical support is horrible. You can barely understand what they are saying and they didn't help me resolve the issue even when I aloud him remote access to my system. I had to figure out the issue myself no thanks to them.Next time someone has this type of issue suggest that they reset their admin password to resolve my type of problem. If he had suggested that instead of giving me the runaround and lying about my internet provider not working this would have been resolved easily. Next time train them to be patient with new clients and show some sort of empathy when dealing with customers who buy your product. As I stated earlier all I had to do was reset my admin password to fix my issue with my cameras not working. Respectfully claim #573005. Mr Hughes.
