Had Lorex for over 5 years

Had Lorex for over 5 years, I view the 8 cameras at our cottage and home remotely from anywhere in the world.

When I needed information regarding some camera functions the help line people were very helpful.

Good value at a very good price for quality security cameras.

Will Not Honor Warranty

Lorex Technology has hired poor customer service representatives. I am highly technical. I spent 3 hours root causing a 3-week old camera of theirs. It is bad. It's under a 1-year warranty. They wasted 45 minutes on the phone with me to keep asking me the same information over and over. It is obvious they are resistant to honoring the warranty. They need to step up.

NEVER BUY

Purchased an open box set up from Lorex.com that included the cameras and DVR on 2/3/2023 while we were building our house so that we could easily run the cables during framing. House was finally done enough to hook everything up for the 1st time 3/6/2024. Cameras work great but system states there's no hard drive. Troubleshooted with Lorex customer service and they stated possibly the whole dvr needs replaced but I could try just replacing the hard drive 1st. They would not replace it or stand behind it at all since it's been over a year since purchased. So frustrating that they resell nonworking systems!!!

I forgot my Admin code

I was having difficulties with my Lorex Camera system. It was a gift. What a gift. I spoke with a many from Lorex who was patient gracious and very knowledgeable. Not sure of his name, but it was Case #643730
The greatest service. Cameras are excellent quality and so is service.

Tech support who helped was awesome

Tech support who helped was awesome, was fast, knowledgeable, and courteous. Having to disconnect & pull my DVR out of my network rack to get photos of the bottom sticker & QR code & email them in is a terrible way to do password resets. Changing out a DVR on Friday evening, and then having to wait until Monday to call tech support to reset the password is a fail.... If lorex changes to a different brand, gets bought out, etc,will tech support even be available? I feel like this will be the last flir/lorex product I purchase if this is how backwards the devices are engineered.

Never received my order!!! FRAUDSTERS!

I ordered my system from lotex several weeks ago. Despite calling them 5 mins after the order highlight a mistake in thr delivery address, it was delivered a week later to the wrong address. I have paid over £400 and god knows where or who has my order. Customer service has been appalling. I have rang 3 times requesting to speak to a manager, no one has called me back. I was told it is not their responsibility. They basically have my money and couldn't care less that I do not have my order. I am contacting trading standards and reporting this as a scam to my bank to reclaim the money. Please do not buy from this company!!!!

Faulty product, poor customer service

Purchased a DVR system from Costco two years ago. The DVR itself stopped working and Costco advised me to contact Lorex directly. When I contacted their sales email to purchase another DVR, since it's not longer under warranty, they told me that I need to call or use the chat feature on their website. Not the sales email that is advertised on their site.

While the lack of support for a faulty product is frustrating, the lack of service is a deal breaker.

The NVR failed after three years

The NVR failed after three years. The company no longer supports the cameras or NVR purchased at that time. It was a $2,700 system. Even when working, the cameras could only read a licence plate within about 50ft of the camera lens so most often the footage was not useful for identifying individuals or cars. Very disappointing outcome.

I appreciate your concern. Is there something that can be done? I would not expect a system from Lorex to fail after three years.

When I called for help I kept getting…

When I called for help I kept getting pushed around with them telling me it's a different issue even when i had an electrician look at it and tell me what the issue was lorex still told me it was something else rather than actually dealing with the problem, and lorex was wrong. The device was not working correctly but they wouldnt admit it was the device. I spent money on have the issue looked at and trying to have it fixed by the electrician all because of lorex. Thanks for nothing but wasting my hard earned money. so I have gone with a different company and I will never recommend lorex or go with lorex ever again. Instead I'll tell how awful you are.

The new company has a way better customer service and doesn't beat around the bush so to speak. And they certainly dont waste my money
