Do not waster your money
Purchased 2 years ago, and the system has worked for 2 months in total. We have the doorbell, 4 cameras, an extender, and the control box. The product malfunctions, turning itself off. You then need to reboot everything, which doesn't last. The service department is NO HELP. There is no customer service. Product is made in China and the company is based in Canada. Do NOT waste your money. I would give a 0 star if I could.

Looked into buying a set of cameras and needed to know the bracket size. Have looked everywhere online for this information and could not find it. Decided to ring support and they just said they don’t have this information.

DO NOT BUY I was in the partner program and have bought and installed many of their units. But there new products have a bug where the screen freezes or the crosslines flicker. I asked for help on this an was told nothing they can do it was a known bug and they don't know how too fix it. Their cameras turn pink after a few months in sunlight. They never made it right by giving me a refund so I will not be selling their products through my business I cant support a protect that has went so down hill through the years. I have sold these since 2015. DO NOT BUY minus 5 star review........... I see now that I post a review now you wish to look into this and try to do the right thing? My ticket number is 990934 and if you look into it your staff labeled it as REPEAT CALLER very rude considering I wouldn't need to keep calling if you would of been able to help me and not try to make me settle for a product I didn't order or send me back the original NVR that freezes because you guys don't know how to fix the problem. Like I said all I wanted was my money back and I would send it all back but this is I guess how it goes.

Oh man, what a horrible technical support. Asking me about voltage and amps. Delays forever.
It is easier to put everything back in the Box and return to Costco because one Camera was DA.
Terrible customer service, lorex is terrible
Terrible customer service, when you do get thru, they are hard to understand. I have been without cameras for 4 days.after 3 days they tell me I need firmware version update, no one told me from day 1.they will not ship update, only send to email.as of now I still have no cameras.i belive the cameras and customer service is below a zero, do not buy this product, shop elsewhere, they have a high rating only from the employees sending in reviews. Please call if you care to discuss.
The cameras are great, software is terrible
The cameras are great! Great build quality and image. The software is complete garbage though. False alerts constantly, meanwhile active movement by vehicles or animals directly in front of the camera view goes unnoticed. Camera order, settings, thumbnails - all wildly inconsistent regardless of what they were set to be. The activity zones are a complete joke and don’t work at all. I’d recommend going elsewhere here, or trying to use the cameras with different software.
Terrible cameras and app.
Terrible cameras, NVR, and app. I purchased "4K+" cameras that are horrible and blurry at any distance. NVR regularly reset password and I can't log in, and app can basically not live stream anything or watch any recordings.
Fraudulent company also deletes any negative reviews posted to their website so all of their products look great with an average 5 star review. Illegal per FTC!
Avoid this company like the plague
Avoid this company like the plague. One of the worse camera providers ever, backed by the worst customer service team the world has ever witnessed. Lorex Technology Inc = overpriced crap ran by crooks.
Buy with caution
Purchased a bundle from Lorex. Took ages to be sent out.
When it did arrive the nVR box is 2 years old with outdated firmware. Tech support is supposed to be open from 9am but seems that 9am USA time not UK ut was 13:00hrs before we got through.
Advisor was not helpful. We either had to return the system with a hopeful refund with 20 days or buy a memory stick to download the new version of firmware.
If you’re spending the money we did, we expect things to work and be upto date. Buy with caution
£1200 full system, failed at 12 months. Awful support - AVOID
Product is decent in terms of features.
But the £1000+ NVR failed at 12 months.
Support is AWFUL.
Slow, painful, hard to deal with, abrasive - the worst customer service I've had in 10 years (and being British, we put up with a lot).
Horrible Tech Support!
I bought Lorex cameras for our business. I contacted Tech Support because the app view on the laptop was tiny. Lorex outsourced their customer/tech service, and it's very hard to understand them. And the tech person gets frustrated because I keep asking them to repeat because Its so hard to UNDERSTAND THEIR ENGLISH with the heavy accents!. Then finally I was able to download the software and needed help to add device to view live camera. I asked the tech support person questions, but no response. The tech person ended our call because tech support hours ended. But there was never any communication from tech support to inform me; she just stopped talking and ended the call. I have NEVER encountered such poor service! Most places would stay on the line to complete the support. Had I know how HORRIBLE support would be, I would NEVER have bought LOREX cameras. Moving forward, I would never buy another Lorex cameras again. HUGE MISTAKE!
At first I thought that it was a run…
At first I thought that it was a run around so I had posted a review , I rescinded my
post,I spoke to a supervisor of my complain and she took care of my issues she was very understanding, courteous, knowledgeable and professional, for such a service, I would purchase and recommend Lorex to anyone that need a camera system, with great service and representative .
App Not Working
I bought the cameras from Costco . I’m ready to return them since I bought them recently . Very frustrating with the app . It seems to not work properly . These reviews makes me want to return asap . Also, want to not have major problems and the customer service will be a hassle . Also, the main box to operate is noisy . I will most likely go back to Arlo. Easier interface .

DO not buy. The app sucks , the cameras suck. We stopped calling lorex , because we got nowhere the app is always crashing no matter what phone you use. Our 4k cameras look more like $90 dlls cameras, people look transparent at times and lorex support is not support at all. IT WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY

A ptz camera died under the warranty period because I tried fixing it myself and waited a few days past warranty period they refused to replace it and tried offering a measly 10 bucks off the purchase price to replace it. Do yourself a favor and pick a better system!
I feel bad referring my friends to this company and installing their system.

Not fit for purpose and limited warranty
I reported a problem in warrenty where the doorbell would not reconnect after a power outage. Was told that's what it does and get a new wifi router. 15 months later the doorbell fi fi failed completely after reset it would not enable its own hotspot. While getting hold of support is easy they agreed the hardware was faulty but it was outside the 1 year warranty period so wanted to sell me a new one. Not buying another lorex one after this flakey experience.

AVOID DEALING WITH THEM , NO BODY CARES :
1- 11 DAYS AGO On 7th December 2024 , I made an order(ORDER NO:LU5198) of (Lorex 4K 16-Channel (8 Wired 8 Fusion Wi-Fi) 2TB NVR with Smart Deterrence IP Dome Cameras with 2K Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera and 2K Wired Doorbell N4K2SD-84WDK-DP).
2- On 9th December, 2024 , I received an email that (Your order is on the way. Track your shipment to see the delivery status. FedEx tracking number: 7.70599E+11) The tracking number incorrect,
3- I had to call Fedex to track my order they confirm:
- the correct tracking number is : (770598503571).
- the parcel has been labeled by the sender with this tracking number, however, the sender didn’t contact Fedex to pickup the order to deliver it.
4- During the 11 days , I have made so many calls to Lorex customer service , many tickets been raised asking them to :
• To send my order ( nothing happened and the order is still just only labelled and waiting for eleven days so one of their team send fedex to come pick up the order.
• Or just simply cancel my order and refund my money back.
•
5- ANY ONE CAN TRACK MY ORDER(770598503571). THROUGH FEDEX AND SEE THE STATUS
11 DAYS NO BODY CARE, NO ORDER BEEN DELIVERED, NO MONEY BEEN REFUNDED THE ORDER STILL WAITING THEIR FOR ONE OF THEM TO CONTACT FEDEX TO COLLECT,AT THE END THEY LEAVE ME WITH ONE OPTION WHICH IS THE COURT.

Does not honor their warranty
Be careful in purchasing this doorbell, I purchased mine in June, had it installed by an electrician, doorbell suddenly stopped working when it got cold, phoned customer support, followed their instruction to make it work again to no avail, when claim was escalated to replace the doorbell suddenly I am required to acquire a multimeter and use it to show voltage, despite stating that I have no knowledge in basic electricity and no knowledge how to use a multi meter they still required me to do it. Filed a complaint to bbb and consumer affairs Ontario, currently in contact with the media. I will get rid of my 4 lorex security cameras and switch to more known brand with better customer support. Beware of lorex people!! They will take your money then leave you in the dark when you need them to honor the warranty!!!

Lorex reply is again to put the blame to clients instead of taking responsibility, I reiterate that the doorbell was installed by a licensed electrician that I paid. If the voltage was incorrect then why will it work for over 5 months before it stopped working??? there is a lot of reviews online stating the same issue and same lame excuse that Lorex use to not honor the warranty. The only assistance lorex can provide right now is either to honor the warranty or SEND A LOREX TECHNICIAN!! I ALSO CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH TO NOT TO FORCE YOUR CUSTOMERS DESPITE STATING THAT WE DO NOT HAVE THAT SPECIFIC TOOL AND KNOWLEDGE TO PERFORM DANGEROUS ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSIS THAT SHOULD BE PERFORMED BY A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL!! THAT RESPONSIBILITY IS ON LOREX!!!
