BUYER BEWARE! Gutted, purchased direct from Lorex.com the NVR fusion 4K plus 2 bullet cameras A14s (the cameras didn’t have any stickers on to show any details so unable to register under warranty). Although just finding out the warranty is worthless even if registered! Purchased on 30/11/2025 only just able to try to install as was Christmas present, NVR came with two pin plug so contacted tech support, tried an adapter, cameras not working, sent to customer support for correct power cable to be sent and nothing, no response from either of their support contact us outlets I tried many times but to no avail. Not sure where to go from here as out of the return 30 day period. Do not touch this company if you actually want a product to work or to have any sort of support if it doesn’t work. Ghosted comes to mind!

Great product terrible return policy
Great product terrible return policy. We purchased ahead of time on Nov 2nd to have these installed in December when signed on the home. Decemeber 17th we noticed we had to many cameras/ wiring. I started a return for the unopen items and they will not take them as a return since its past 30 day. Not restocking fee options or anything. Writing this review so others are aware.
Extremely Disappointing Performance and Customer Support
My Lorex NVR 4K security system has been extremely unreliable. It regularly fails to detect people and vehicle movement on my driveway, both at night and now even during daylight hours. These faults are ongoing and unresolved, despite the system still being under warranty until 30 December 2025.
I have contacted Lorex numerous times via the app and support channels and have attempted to raise a formal complaint with no success. Most messages go unanswered, and the one support intervention I received did not fix the issues. Reporting faults has now become a daily occurrence.
Support for UK customers is particularly poor. I have been unable to reach a UK-based representative and am repeatedly asked to call expensive overseas numbers, which is unreasonable.
I have requested a replacement under warranty or a refund if a replacement is not available, but customer support has not responded (again).
I would appreciate Lorex finally acknowledging this review and contacting me to resolve these issues.

I ordered an indoor camera directly from Lorex, it arrived fairly quickly and looked smart. I followed the instructions and linked the camera to the app, but the set up would not complete. After exiting the set up process to start again all I received was a message saying the camera was already linked to my email. Nothing would reset the camera and there was no way to show the camera even though it was supposedly linked. I called the service line multiple times and it just hangs up on you. I contacted the sales chat on the website, who wouldn't help me just kept giving me the 'helpline' which hangs and an international number. They were quick to send me a return and refund link. They obviously know there is a big big issue with their products.

I’ve had a frustrating experience with Lorex’s Pan-Tilt 2K WiFi camera. The camera frequently stops recording its 24-hour footage indefinitely until I manually reboot it. This issue has worsened over time, now happening every few days, which means I have to check the camera each morning and reboot it if it’s stopped recording.
On my first call to support, one representative claimed the SD card was full, not realizing that the camera’s looping feature manages storage automatically. On the second call, they want me to do internet connection test. However, on the third call, the support representative insisted that any internet disconnect would cause the camera to stop recording indefinitely until rebooted. This was confusing because the camera stores footage locally on the SD card and shouldn’t depend on internet stability for local recording. Yet the tech support blames :
1)upload is only 24-25 Mbps( this is standard upload speed for NYC households)
2) your WiFi is not direct source. I use a WiFi 6 router connected the modem thru Ethernet cable. And seem is not direct, it may cause my camera stop recording indefinitely.
3) you internet may not be stable, it will cause your camera stop saving footage in your local SD cards.
Additionally, I was disappointed by the overall quality of the technical support. It felt like the support staff lacked basic knowledge about how the camera works, which was surprising and frustrating.
I feel the tech support team is try their to blame the fault on other things. My guess the excuse they will use is the air quality in NYC cause the cameras stop recoding.

Unsure if a scam
Ordered cameras end of September, still not received. Have been in contact via email and phone, totally unprofessional service with no direction of what is going on or where our products are. I am 90% sure this company is a scam.

Their customer service department is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Ive spent 4-5 hours on the phone and 7 separate phone calls trying to get ONE POWER ADAPTER replaced. STILL dont have it settled. Customer service departments are the backbone of a company. In this case Lorex is a JELLYFISH… Absolutely infuriating and embarassing.
They dont even know the specs of their own equipment to replace one thats CLEARLY faulting with a video for proof. Im beyond fed up with this company.

Constantly offline and disconnecting…
Constantly offline and disconnecting from my Wi-Fi system while every other Wi-Fi device in and around the property stays connected, INCLUDING OTHER WI-FI SECURITY CAMERAS. We also get delayed notifications that if there were a real event it would be too late for us to respond. While the price is good, the absolute lack of isreliability and trustworthiness of these systems is just not worth it. Spend your money elsewhere even if it takes you time to build a system. We are already in this process of switching to another brand that is much more reliable and almost never down.

Lorex Customer service is poor
Lorex Customer service is poor. I have had two of four units fail and the second unit was a replacement for the first. After 95 days the second unit failed and Lorex refused to replace it because it was past the 90 day warranty. I have also had problems with being able to view the cameras with my Iphone. Several times I was. unable to access the cameras and had to go into the actual system unit to rebuild. This doesn't work when you are not at the home location I bought this for a second home and cannot fix the system without being at that location. I regret buying this system
Buy Another Camera System
As stated by others, after sale support is very sub-par. The phone representatives do not know their own product line for technical support issues.
I'm also very disappointed in the quality of the product. I had the system for 1-1/2 years and from the get go cameras routinely drop connection with the NVR.
I also have Lorex's door sensors, which are supposed to mesh with the NVR. These also routinely drop from the app.
There is no web interface directly to the NVR. The NVR also does not allow for a keyboard. This makes entering a secure password quite difficult.
I wish I had purchased another system than the Lorex.

Just rubbish
Just rubbish. No support line for the UK as the number doesn’t work.
Won’t respond to emails and basically ignore you.
Really dissatisfied as the products had a lot of Potential.
Update
Finally got a call from the Canadian Tech support. Fixed the issue with a simple firmware update.
The whole process was very difficult though.
Please make your UK support better.

Recently lost my final cameras due to…
Recently lost my final cameras due to heat exposure in Arizona. Over the past two years I’ve lost 7 cameras. All were shaded but the heat had to have killed them. Poor quality and regret upgrading from coax 1080p to IP cameras. Quality of 2k and 4k cameras aren’t the same.

Totally unreliable – avoid Lorex WiFi cameras
I purchased two Lorex 2K Spotlight Indoor/Outdoor Security Cameras in September 2023, which were installed by a qualified electrician in October 2023. The experience has been nothing short of awful.
From the beginning, I had issues. When I contacted support, the service was unhelpful and time-consuming — hours on the phone with what felt like a cheap overseas call centre, and no real solutions provided.
The cameras themselves are extremely unreliable. They often fail to record people entering or leaving my property, and at night the recordings are full of corruption. I even had to switch off my outdoor lights to try to make the cameras work. Despite that, 80% of the time the recorded data cannot be viewed, showing errors like “no recording” or “file reading error.”
One camera completely stopped working 10 months after purchase, and the second failed just three weeks ago. I tried everything — including paying an electrician to disconnect and reconnect — but nothing helped.
These cameras are totally unreliable and not fit for purpose. Even if they were free, I would not touch them for the hassle, stress, and wasted time trying to view recordings.
Not bad
I experienced only one problem that should be solves as soon as possible. Do something with your customer service, you are not a small brand you need better guys working there. The answer are repetitive and very robotic, feels like i’m talking to a bot rather than a person. Anyway, i was just left satisfied with the camera. Can’t lie, came here for that and it’s good. But stuff lets down
Technical support is a frustration
Technical support is a frustration. First the accents are heavy indicating out of the U.S. The individual I had kept researching then putting me on hold, only to come back with the same solutions I had already gone through. Finally, defaulted back to factory only to lose the mouse. I gave up. Will research other providers now. DVR still will not record due to maxed out drive that can't be erased.
Lorex doorbell cameras failures
Purchased two LOREX doorbell Cameras and both failed within 2years. Quit functioning properly and the second one at my home damaged my doorbell---had to replace. Came home from trip and doorbell was making loud humming noise. Replaced with Reolink...working fine and great functions!

I have never had such disappointing experience with a technology company. The Customer Service is just very frustrating and almost non existent. The teams just put your around in circles between the tech support then sales and I am left with a useless camera set.
I got the full package/set bullet camera NVR camera set around the black Friday sales period and went on holiday, due to weather and personal situations setup the camera in Feb, but then couldn't get all the cameras to work. This is to replace my existing set of security cameras so it's not the first time setting this up. After following the instructions this still failed and tested to know the 3 camera is the problem not the wire so sent an email to technical support who advised to go to sales but sales said it technical. Ok, let's give them a call, they give me the exact same instructions as if they didn't listen what I told them I already did and they sent an email, so if the phone communication was a problem, explained the same in writing. Whilst sales confirmed this is in warranty for an year need tech to confirm... Here we go again.
I am left to refund, but now this is not an option because they have taken so long to respond and still not able to reach to a conclusion. This is the worst ever service experience and if you don't want to throw your money away not worth the risk. Not even sure if there be any response but now I am left with a full camera set that does not work except for the 1 camera which is pointless. I have contacted them several times both calls and emails
