We bought a new home in 2019

We bought a new home in 2019, with a new Lennox HVAC. The builder installed this unit KNOWING it was too small for our size home. So this is also on them. After 4-5 years it started not cooling as expected. We live in Central Arizona but our temperatures don’t get as high as Phoenix, thank God for that. Still it is dry on the attic where the unit is located. When it totally failed after numerous attempts to fix leaks, add Freon it cost us over two years 2k to keep it going. We finally gave up. Well they just removed the unit today and it was totally rusted out from the inside! They had copper coils right next to galvanized straps. Electrolysis was going on big time. We have no roof leaks, you could see where it was leaking from the copper. This piece of crap a/c of course is not longer available (wonder why!!!???) so could not get parts! 5 year old unit!! I would NEVER EVER buy another Lennox A/C. It is an over priced undependable product. Look elsewhere. We did, for a lot less than Lennox garbage. Run away for Lennox.

10-Year Lennox Heater Dies 39 Days Past Warranty—Zero Support

I purchased an ECM Lennox heater 10 years ago (final install inspection: 4/2). The blower motor failed on 5/11—just 1 month and 9 days after the 10-year warranty expired. When I contacted Lennox customer support, I hoped they’d make an exception given how close it was to the warranty period, as a sign of standing behind their product. Instead, I was told no exceptions are made—period.

To escalate the issue, I was transferred to another queue. After waiting 5 minutes, the call disconnected. I called back, waited another 5 minutes, and was disconnected again. No callback, no resolution, just wasted time.

This experience speaks volumes: Lennox doesn’t value customer loyalty or product longevity. For a premium brand, the refusal to offer even minimal goodwill—paired with abysmal service—is unacceptable. Combined with the suspicious timing of the failure (right after warranty expiration), it’s hard not to feel the product was engineered for planned obsolescence.

A 10-year warranty equals 3,650 days of promised coverage. My unit failed just 39 days past that—a mere 1% over the cutoff. Yet Lennox wouldn’t budge, treating it like a decade-old debt come due. I will no longer purchase Lennox products or recommend them to others. If you’re considering this brand, factor in their rigid policies and lack of post-warranty support. There are better options out there.

Lennox will not support their customers

Had to purchase a new circuit board after 14 months, apparently the old version of the circuit board had issues so they came out with an updated version. And of course the warranty expires after 12 months. Gave them multiple opportunities to assist as the quality of parts I’ve received from them fail just after the warranty. They did nothing, asked to speak with a manager, told me there’s no reason to escalate. I asked if an unhappy customer was not a reason to escalate? No response. Unwilling to help even in the slightest. Will never use Lennox again. The large corporations just showing how they don’t care about customers. Too bad

Absolutely useless support

Absolutely useless support. Tried to call about a newly installed Lennox $ 12,000 HVAC system that cycles on and off in under 2 min, to ask if there was an adjustment that could correct it. She just kept saying call the installer, which I had already done twice & paid for service calls that did nothing. Still don't know if it's a faulty new Honeywell 9000 thermostat or the Lennox unit. Both deny it is their problem. I will never touch Lennox again.

Avoid Lennox – Terrible Customer Service

We live in Northern Maine and have been deeply disappointed with Lennox’s customer service. Since there are only a couple of service providers for the entire state, they seem to treat customers as if they’re "precious" and indispensable. When we called to ask a simple question about our system or inquire about ordering a part, they flat-out refused to help unless we provided the name of our repair technician. They wouldn’t offer any information or assistance.

The lack of care and refusal to provide basic support was shocking. We’re now seriously considering replacing our furnace entirely just to avoid dealing with Lennox ever again. After sharing our experience with some neighbors, they’ve decided to steer clear of Lennox as well.

If you're considering their products, avoid at all costs—the customer service is not worth the hassle.

DO NOT BUY A LENNOX!!!!!

Absolute garbage company. I would give Lennox 0 stars if I could.

I own the top of the line Lennox modular furnace. I live in Northern Ontario where it is COLD!!! Last night the temperature was -22. With the wind chill it was -32 degrees

The furnace is a little over 10 years old and if the course the warranty just expired. The furnace stopped working on January 08/25 so I called in the technician to repair the furnace. Supposedly a circuit board needed to be replaced at a cost of $800.00.

The part was ordered and now I’m told it will not arrive until January13/25. Seriously!!! A furnace is not a luxury in Northern Ontario it’s a frickin necessity.

When I was researching furnaces I was warned about Lennox furnaces and their terrible customer service. I should have listened. Now I’m out buying heaters to put throughout the house to avoid being frozen out.

Do yourself a favour AVOID any Lennox products because there is no such thing as customer service. If the furnace breaks and it will; you will not have heat in your house for quite sometime.

M 30 thermostat

M 30 thermostat
M 30 thermostat has many good features and the advanced settings are easily followed. I especially like the programming for individual days, and the performance report. With the performance report I am able to calculate the fuel that I use in the oil furnace. Also the away setting is very handy just to be leaving for a while.
I do have a complaint though; this is the most and inaccurate temperature thermostat I have ever used. The only time that it is accurate is when it's off and not doing anything. Room temperature and thermostat temperature are 5° off.
Let say we come home and need Air-conditioning mode, if its 80° room temperature and you turn the air conditioning on to 72°. About 20 min. the thermostat will say it at 72° and turn off THE compressor but the room temperature says it's only 76.5 or 77 degrees. The offset in advance settings does not help this either. As a matter fact after trying every offset and every advance setting to see whether I can get this thermostat to at least be acceptable, we just set it to 68 degree when it start again. Like I said before the only time that it's accurate with room temperature is when it's off.
Now let talk about heat! Heat always over shoots the setting by 4 degrees. Setting the offset does not correct the problem. The M30 is set at 71 degrees heat but room temperature is 75 degrees and when you use the offset to try to correct high room temperature, then it does not come on when it gets cold (68 degrees) in the room.. Your installer booklet with set up info does not really tell you how to set the offset. Also the settings are not concurrent between summer, winter or spring/fall.
Please don’t tell me to contact my installer as there have been other problem with this new duel fuel system and it appears I know more about these thermostats and this HVAC install than they do. Just for your reference this is the 3RD thermostat that they traded out.

Bought an item what I was assured would…

Bought an item what I was assured would fit in my car, needless to say it was totally incompatible, asked for a refund as it is promised up to 90 days, I returned the item to them, now they are playing silly games, I followed their instructions to the mark, I feel they are not going to give me my refund, i strongly suggest you do not use this company, total rip off

Blower broke after < 3years

We bought a new furnace in 2021. 2.5 years later the blower motor broke (yes we regularly changed the filter). While we are covered for parts warranty, it is over $1,000 of labour to replace it. My last furnace was 30 years old before we had to put any money into it. Very disappointed in the quality.

We built in new home in late 2021 in Fort Myers Fl. 18 months after we moved in, we started having nothing but issues with our Lenox Air Conditioner. The drain line continued to get clogged. We purchased a service agreement for twice a year cleaning. 2 months after the first cleaning the drain clogged. We were then told we needed a monthly clean. Now 2 1/2 years later, the Air conditioner stopped working. We were told the main coil is leaking and needs replaced - cost $2650.00 parts only. Lenox will cover the cost of the part, we must pay labor. Our friend 5 doors down from us, also built a new home 3 months older than ours, last month his coil failed and cost around the same amount to replace it, same hvac contractor very prominent in FL. Called Lenox they will only cover the cost of the part, not labor. I see in 2015 a class action law suit against Lenox for a similar coil issue. Lenox - once was a quality company, now produces junk at best - not only my opinion - confirmed by many hvac contractors who no longer install's Lenox brand Equipment. Why anyone would use Lenox is puzzling. Today 9/30/24 I tried calling Lenox Customer Affairs Department all day - Lines were busy, unexpected high call volume... I see why..... Finally talked to an agent, no solution other than denial of faulty products - they pay parts only -period. Beware before you buy Lenox. We are building a new house in Ohio, Rest assure Lenox Products will not be installed or the other many private labels they have as a cover up - Ducane, Armstrong Air, Concord etc....

Top dollar/Bottom quality

Top dollar, bottom performance. The nightmare begins when no normal HVAC tech can fix this because it needs special parts you can only get through one of the few licensed Lennox dealers. That means waiting two weeks for the part to come in (yes, no heat in winter for two weeks and no ac in summer for two weeks waiting for parts...I've have both). Even with twice a year servicing to keep it running I'v had to replace the mother board, the thermostat (and you can only use a $2000 Lennox brand not one you can buy in a store) and other stuff that went wrong in undere 10 years. Warranty or not who wants to freeze or boil for two weeks waiting for repair. That's enough....

New Lennox AC has known issue, but no fix for it

We purchased a new Lennox AC unit through Costco in May 2023 and used a local contractor to install it. Although the unit "works" the model we chose makes an incredibly loud noise every time the compressor shuts off. From day one, we've complained to both the installer and Costco. Both have told us that this is a "known issue" with Lennox and this particular unit. Both the installer and Costco are "waiting on a fix" from Lennox. Sixteen months later Lennox is still dragging its feet on this issue.

FH Furr, Lennox, Costco - dishonest businesses

FH Furr, Lennox & Costco would not honor their 10 years warranty. I got the very expensive Lennox HVAC via Costco that was installed by FH Furr. The product was a lemon that broke down on the first week of installation & over the course of 6 yrs. When wanting to claim the 10 yrs warranty they said an annual maintenance was required, which was never communicated before. Also, I found online that the product has a coil failure law sue in the past.

lennox air conditioner motor seizes after 3 years

had 3 year old lennox air conditioner maintenance on 5/9/24. motor was siezed in less than 3 years. i'm still waiting for my hvac service to received a new motor from another city in my state. my hvac service would charge me $250 to put in a temporary motor until the new lennox motor arrives. this is a charge lennox should be responsible for & absorb. the unit is still under warranty BUT i still have NO air conditioning after having a new unit for less than 3 years. i refuse to pay $250 in the meantime for lennox's failure as a company. i have no firm date as to when i will have a working air conditioning system again.

Incredibily BAD.

Incredibily BAD.
Just a simple mistake and they "try to sell" an intervention of their technicians.
NO technical information can be gotten by them in BeNeLux.
I highly recommend to buy somewhere else.
If this is their way of "SERVICE TO CUSTOMERS" one good advice: turn the page.

Shoddy Product, Fake Customer Service

Our furnace stopped working on a cold day, so I called the HVAC contactor that installed the unit during new construction 18 months ago. The service tech found that a pressure switch wire had disconnected and wrapped around the inducer motor. When asked how that could happen when the unit has never been opened or serviced, I was told that the only explanation was &quot;poor workmanship&quot; at the point of assembly. The wire was reconnected, and I paid the $225 service call. I contacted Lennox several times by email and phone about splitting the cost of repair only to receive the run around and finally a denial based on a warranty technicality argument. I now will pursue small claims court action with the support of the installation contractor. Junk product, fake customer service!

Purchased a home in July

Purchased a home in July, 2023 that is three years old. I’ve had to replace coils already twice now in this home. Lennox will not re-imburse me for refrigerant nor offer to have their unit inspected to fix the root of the problem. To my knowledge the previous owners had to replace coils as well. This should not be happening in a unit three years old. I’m already out thousands of dollars and cannot get anyone to off set the cost of their faulty system.

Lennox trust issues

Lennox. They play games. Simply trying to look up a serial number and you have to jump hoops to even get that far. That immediately raises a lot of red flags. No reason for this. No wonder I see so many bad reviews

Do Not use Lennox

As a field tech and a company owner ,I must say lennox has the worst customer service both in person and on the phone . I've had problems with their method for years and I'm sure we are not alone ,today I decided to write :
parts are mostly out of stock and reps are always frustrated for obvious reasons ,
phone calls takes forever to be answered, It's not acceptable to hold homeowners or the techs on the phone for over an hour before answering the calls.
there seem to be only 1 or 2 tech support on the phone which explains the long hold times and when they finally answer with frustration they have no answer for some of the questions especially with the newer units and accessories.
not enough data and info in manuals adds to this mess.

maybe try learning from successful company in client service.
its been 58 min till this very moment that I'm on hold for tech support .

I'm going to switch to Daikin, rather work with normal unit with an excellent client service over a more expensive but disrespectful, disappointing badge
I'm pretty sure my clients will enjoy the real warranty and support and constantly available parts .
