Leaders where there for us when we got scamed.

Before we found a place with leaders we actually thought we secured a place with a private landlord only to find out it was a scam. panicked and stressed we had a week to pack all our worldly belongings and find a new place to live. leaders was there and helped us secure a place in no time. now both me and my fiance have a lovely home.

Abi has been great over the past year looking after the house. Keeping me as landlord informed, proactively bringing things to my attention, working constructively with the tenants, acting on instructions and generally being super efficient. Thanks Abi. Great job.

I’ve recently been in contact with my Property Manager, Abi regarding some queries and have been very impressed with the speed and professionalism of her responses.

I popped in to the Ipswich office this morning as I urgently required an up to date confirmation of my rent. Abi Gwilliam was brilliant, she emailed it straight away and was so friendly and professional. It was so nice to meet her!

I have used the services of Leaders for 2 properties for many years and have always been very happy with all the people that I have dealt with.
Special mention must go to my current Property Manager, Sarah, who has been excellent. She is extremely efficient and has always been able to be contacted and her replies come very quickly.

Leaders Ipswich - Incredibly unprofessional in discharge of a 12 year tenancy. Procedure not followed, no invite to check out meeting and had to chase after three weeks for report, no emails from depository until then and now my vulnerable parent being lumped with a full clean up bill to bring the property to a better state than received against inventory check in report. No response to points raised after a clean by tenant including professional carpet clean. Landlord done no redecoration or fittings replacement in 12 years. I would never recommend them....

Great service from finding tenant to looking after property while tenant is in. Tenant reported issue with the front door, leaders made contact with me and was sorted same day. Can’t ask for more!

I have been renting from Leaders for two months and last week we had a few problems, shower leaked, electrics blow, drains backed up and mice in the wall.
Vanessa Anderson at the Ipswich branch was brilliant.
Within a day the shower and electric were fixed, the following day drains and mice were also resolved.
My Wofe and I are so very grateful for her comforting support and swift action.
The tradesmen were so professional and helpful.
Just such a positive experience.
Things do go wrong, so comforting to know that your in safe hands.
I wouldn’t rent from anywhere else.

We recently vacated a property and expected there to be some costs associated, however the costs billed are laughable.

Curtain poles removed from the wall due to falling out during the tenancy (this was because they were attached to stud wall without any support).

Also insisting on a professional clean of the property after the change in regulations….

When attempting to explain and negotiate via their tool it is like having a conversation with a brick wall. There is no negotiation and the response is simply send it to adjudication…. Leaders do you not understand that negotiation should be exhausted prior to adjudication? Clearly not as you have ignored the principle behind your entire system/process.

Unfortunately the performance of Leaders during the tenancy left a lot to be desired and this was just another blow.

I’ll start light and then move to the worst examples:

- Visit booked and not attended, no email/call.

- Visit cancellation received when one had never been booked with us.

- Details given to a gas engineer on the last working day of our tenancy.

- Fence blown down and the neighbour replaced due to the length of time (albeit they were quicker on the second occasion).

- Visit determined seals required replacement around a year ago, never replaced and water marks appearing in property.

- Wired smoke alarm had been super glued (yes super glued) into place due to a snapped clip and upon taking down (due to battery change being needed) could not be re-fitted - also important to note that they stated replace before 2015, we moved into the property in 2019 - complete disregard for the safety it’s tenants. Sent the handyman who took one look and said it was the job for an electrician (obviously, it’s a wired fire alarm).

- Left without hot water for 2 weeks during September. We had one contractor visit and say a new boiler needed. There was then a second opinion who fixed the issue…. All the electrics short circuited the next day, someone attend and said because water had got onto exposed wires…. He then proceeded to dry the area around the water tank with my hair dryer.

As you can see, they have no regard for the and are only interested in their fee and anything that can squeeze out of people at the end of their tenancy.

Even if you like the property they are letting, I would suggest you avoid them or be prepared to be disappointed.

After searching and looking at properties I finally found one I liked which was listed with leaders. I have been dealing with Marcus from the moment I first enquired about the property till I secured it. Marcus has been nothing but helpful he has answered every question I have. He has kept to promises such as a call back if needed and responded to emails. Marcus has provide exceptional customer service, that I have haven’t experienced else where when searching for the right place.
If anyone uses leaders and lucky enough to have Marcus dealing with them, it will be a breeze!!

The adviser who dealt with me (Marcus) was very quik and efficient. I was sent everything promptly and once completed the advisor again acknowledged it by sending me an email, which put my mind at ease.
As far as agencies go, Leaders was by far the easiest to deal with. No faf, no jargon. Just clear rules and regulations ( if you will) and competent advisors.
Excellent experience.
