Choosing health insurance in the U.S

Choosing health insurance in the U.S. was more daunting than picking my courses! After comparing the NYU plan and several international options, I found they were either too expensive or lacked essential coverage like dental, vision, and mental health.

I’m so glad I found Kimber Health. Their NY Essential plan is a game-changer with a $0 deductible and 100% co-insurance. Beyond just medical, it covers oral and vision at no cost and even provides a $400 OTC allowance that I use for daily essentials. A huge highlight for me is the gym reimbursement—it covers my annual Planet Fitness membership!

Thanks to the honest feedback from other international students in the ISAC groups, navigating this system became much less intimidating. Kimber Health doesn’t just meet university requirements; it’s a lifestyle plan that’s more economical and flexible than anything else I looked at. If you’re a student trying to navigate U.S. healthcare without the financial strain, this is the most prudent decision you can make.

Respect for the team for bringing up…

Respect for the team for bringing up such a great program for international students who actually deal a lot with money issues. Kimber has helped us save a lot as an international student and I really appreciate it.

The enrollment process was smooth

The enrollment process was smooth. I initially had a few hiccups but Kimber health made it very seamless & quick. They are reliable & I will recmmend them to every international students. Lots of perks as well.
