JFJ Wood Flooring Recensioni

Buying wood flooring is a considerable investment and we found it much more complicated than buying other flooring types due to the many different types of wood, board lengths, widths, thicknesses, finishes and treatment options. We were therefore very grateful that we found Tom and the team at JFJ. They are a family run business with a real history and knowledge of timber and wood flooring (as opposed to just an online retailer who has spotted an opportunity to sell wood flooring). The JFJ website is a mine of information with so many articles and tips on how to care for your investment, and a real bonus for us was that they had a showroom at their premises where we could go and see their different products - and perhaps even more importantly, examples of the many different hard wax finishes (which actually dictate most of all the overall look and colour of your new floor). The carpenter we used had over 40 years experience with laying wood flooring and both he and ourselves would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending JFJ Wood Flooring to anyone.

Great support from Tom and the team for my questions, also availability of extra material when needed urgently. The end result of fitted floor is great and really enhances our hallway.

Very helpful, good advice and prompt delivery.Flooring was of excellent quality. We wouldn’t hesitate to use JFJ flooring again.

Tom delivered really great customer service, provided helpful information that allowed me to make an informed choice. The quality of the product is superb at a competitive and reasonable price. We have two more bedrooms and a landing to do, and I will be purchasing from JFJ for it all.

This is the second time we have ordered engineered oak flooring from Tom and his team. We liked it so much in our last house we had no hesitation in returning to them. We had unusual requirements in that we wanted to use a particular electric underfloor heat mat under our wood floor. Tom was amazing, communicating directly with the company on our behalf, trialling the wood with the heat mat, and helping with the calculations of what was needed. This was over 6 months ago, and all is well with the floor, which looks amazing. We visited the showroom the first time we purchased, and met Tom and his father, who couldn't have been more helpful. We received the sort of customer service you hardly ever get these days. The site is worth a visit anyway, just for the views! We would definitely buy from them again if we need new wood flooring.

Couldn't be more pleased! I spoke to Tom and his team on several occasions and they were extremely helpful and transparent when choosing what to order, getting samples and organising final delivery. They also spoke to the builders with advice about the fitting. The end product is beautiful too!

We are really happy with the service we got. JFJ Wood flooring was a recommendation from a relative.
they sent us numerous samples before we made our final choice.
many thanks.

We ordered SPC Essence flooring from JFJ Wood Flooring after researching the product and visiting the showroom. Excellent product and price and the team at JFJ were knowledgable and always available to discuss the product, fitting and delivery.

Repeat customer..Nothing was too much trouble and after repeated phone calls re the requirement we now have a wonderful engineered oak floor. This was our fourth order with no previous problems , however there was an issue with a couple of boards and this was amicably sorted out in quick order. We would highly recommend the product and service.

Great family run business, really appreciate the time that Tom took to explain the various options and we now have a beatiful wood floor for far less that we'd have paid for a Howdens one.

A local family firm always available to give friendly advice on their high quality products delivering first class quality, cost and delivery…

Having moved from an ancient house with solid oak floors to a new house, I wanted to replicate the wood floors in engineered oak. My research was extensive and included driving miles to look at various engineered oak.
When I heard about JFJ Flooring everything fell into place. The conversations and guidance was outstanding. Everyone I spoke with had 'The Knowledge' and patience to talk me through what was to be a fairly extensive job.
The quality of the engineered oak is excellent. I chose long wide boards and I'm delighted with the outcome.
Delivery was carefully arranged and of course came on time.
This is an awesome family business who have got it right on every level.

Very pleased with our LVT - Stone composite flooring (Mocha Oak) from JFJ Wood Flooring. Great product, good quality and apparently was easy to install. Looks great and is very practical. So much so that we ordered a second batch for out home office. Ordering process and delivery all smooth with a quick turnaround time. Many thanks

We have JFJ engineered oak on many of our floors, and recently used it in a new bathroom. The service as always was friendly and efficient with really good advice. Our first choice of supplier for several years

I decided to purchase and install a new wood floor for my living room. After conducting extensive research through online reviews and videos, I encountered J F J Flooring on multiple occasions. Consequently, I decided to take advantage of their free sample offer for engineered oak flooring, which at 21mm thick, was an ideal replacement for my current floor.
The sample arrived within a few days and was sufficiently large to demonstrate the quality offered by this product. It was a direct sample from the product I intended to later purchase.
A few days after receiving the sample, I received a call from Tom, Director of J F J Flooring, to discuss the product further. This conversation was less of a sales pitch and more focused on providing advice about the product, its intended use, and ensuring longevity and trouble-free application. He genuinely cared about my requirements rather than just making a sale. As a result, I ordered enough flooring to cover an area approximately 3m x 6.5m, which was delivered at my convenience and in excellent condition.
I allowed the planks to acclimatize for about a week before beginning installation. My joists were in good condition, allowing direct installation. Using expanding glue and Tongue Tite screws, the fitting process was seamless. The planks were remarkably consistent in both thickness and width, and the tongues were precisely cut, eliminating gaps when staggering boards and ensuring no plank was higher than another. This was impressive, as I had previously encountered issues with lower-quality products in another room that required clamping to correct. The J F J Flooring boards were exceptionally straight for a natural product. After two days of installation, the floor appeared top-notch, without any creaking or other issues. I did not apply any additional treatment to allow the floor to develop character. The selected floor already had an oiled finish, which I diligently protected during installation and will continue to safeguard in the future by replying protective oils.
I am writing this review after having the floor installed for over six months to observe how it withstood colder weather conditions. The floor remains as pristine as when initially laid, demonstrating that an engineered wood floor can be successfully installed by a competent DIY enthusiast with a basic understanding of wood properties.
Overall, I highly recommend using engineered wood planks for either replacing an existing floor or installing a new one. While it may require a slightly higher investment, with the assistance of Tom and the team at J F J Flooring, you will be well-supported throughout the process.
