Seems like my experience is common amongst those unfortunate enough to have to attempt to use this company.
Minor repair work needed to a window following the original fitters ceasing to trade, but fobbed off with some template response that can be interpreted as….you paid with a credit card, not our problem, take it up with your bank.
It would be almost funny if it weren’t true. Absolute waste of time and energy. I’d urge anyone whose purchases are “supposedly” backed by an Installsure guarantee to be aware of these kind of tactics before signing on the dotted line.
Used through Everest who have gone bust. Have problem and as paid by credit card they say have to go through credit card company up to 6 years after sale.
There are a few things that need to be explained about Installsure. Firstly it is housed in the same building as FENSA, the self certification organisation for the Fenestration(glazing) industry. Although there are supposed to be ‘Chinese Walls’ between the two organisations, in fact they are part of the same system and the SAME COMPANY that has convinced the government that the industry is properly regulated, which it is not, it is a con that allows a corrupt industry to get away with murder and has pulled the wool over the eyes of incompetent government and MP’s. If you don’t believe this contemplate the following:
1. FENSA being a ‘self certification’ system, effectively means that the glazing industry agrees to follow it’s rules and certifies that it has - of course this is nonsense as there is no inspection system carried out by FENSA after installation and any complaint made to them about faulty installation will either be ignored or fobbed off; in any case try to get through to them on the telephone - impossible!
2, Installsure formerly CGFI is another con. Most people when they receive the insurance certificate after an installation think that it is genuine insurance and most do not read the terms. It does neither cover you for faulty installation nor fraud. All it does is provide cover for faulty installation or fraud if the glazing company goes bust. Then again it is, even in this situation, almost impossible to register and successfully pursue a claim (see the many posts) on this site providing incotraverible evidence of this.
However, all is not lost, I pursued a successful claim, let me explain how. After Everest went bust, I had a claim for poor installation which I had unsuccessfully tried to have rectified through both Everest and FENSA. Having realised what was going on I used the managing director of FENSA to personally pursue the claim for me, using the name of the MD on all email communication, to ensure accountability ( job loss is a great motivator). At the same time I copied all communication to my MP whom I had briefed on the situation. This did not work as Everest refused to carry out repairs demanded by FENSA, and Everest then went bust. However I and my MP had put the wind up them and the MD of FENSA personally made sure that the claim was honoured which it was.
If you wish to be successful about the many complaints you have against glazing companies that are fraudulent and regularly go bust then reopen again, as Everest did, follow this procedure and involve your MP ensuring that your MP is fully briefed about what is really going and emphasise that this very dodgy industry needs to be properly regulated and not allowed to pull the wool over the government’s eyes by pretending to be regulated when it is not.
Like many others, I bought a house that had previously had Everest Windows installed, as Everest have gone into liquidation they will not assist. Fensa told me to contact Installsure, i have paid to have the policy transferred to my name (£25), on making a claim for defective door and windows I am now being asked for the original bank statement for the purchase of Everest windows, this is 6 years ago by 2 previous owners. I have no way of contacting them, what is the point of all of the insurance if they want additional info.
What previous homeowner would provide a bank statement 6 years old to a complete stranger? GDPR??? And surely the fact there is FENSA certs and GGfi policy this proves the windows were paid for......
Unbelievably awful service. How on earth do companies like this stay in business? I would have given a ‘Zero stars’ rating if it was possible. I have filled in the online claim form, submitting all of the documentation, photos, repair quote, and proof of payment that was requested. After several weeks I got asked to do the whole thing all over again using a PDF copy of the claim form. My claim is only £150 but all I get when I enquire about progress is a request for yet more information. Only use this company if you are 100% certain that you will never, ever, need to make a claim. If you want to use a company that cares about your claim, find another company because Installsure doesn’t care about you or your glazing problem.
Have come here to leave a review and was not surprised to see Installsure's rating is 2.1.
We've had an ongoing claim for a long time now for a repair to a patio door lock. They've now stopped answering our calls and certainly don't reply to messages.
We even took to calling on private and different numbers and surprise surprise they answer.
As they have already agreed there is a claim and they sent people out who failed the repair, we have no choice but to have to take further action.
Stay away from this company.
I would not waste my money again with this company you might as well burn it. I have been trying to claim for my conservatory I had built by Everest another company not worth a carrot. This has taken me a year only to be told they will not cover the claim so don't bovver.
I am a contractor. I was contacted by a client for a small job which was quoted for and accepted. The work carried out and customer very happy. After invoicing the client, I was asked to re-invoice their insurance company - Installsure. This was done completing Installsure's instruction of an accompanying guarantee for the work and a signed customer satisfaction declaration form. The work was completed on 10th June. Installsure only send automatic replies once an e-mail has been sent. They don't seem to have the ability to act on or reply to a specific e-mail or pay invoices. Tom Fellowes ignores calls, messages and e-mails
Again, if I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Have been waiting for nearly a year for repairs to faulty Everest conservatory, supposedly covered by an Installsure IBG. Can’t get hold of anyone, numerous calls and emails sent and no response. Will be going to Financial Ombudsman soon as getting beyond a joke now.
Would give zero stars if I could. The insurance is not worth the paper it’s written on. Paid by credit card so can’t go through them for six years if the 10 year warranty apparently. Appears to be a shoddy company set up for other shoddy companies to avoid any liabilities and to give customers false comfort that things will be ok if anything goes wrong
10 year guarantee worth the paper printed on. insurance claim not valid because i paid by credit card. they told me to claim off the credit card company!!!!!!
Had to ring Installsure formally known as GGFI to confirm something. I rang to treble check something about their insurance today.
Though I knew the answer but needed it from the horses mouth.
A big thank you to Courtney & Neil for their help.
Both very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant.
This my letter to Installsure sent 16 January 2021
I made the claim on my policy on 24th September 2020 using your website after speaking to one of your claims advisors. Since that time I have had no response from Installsure after making several unanswered phone calls and subsequent emails as advised in the recorded message.
I am writing directly to your company address to see if I can get a response. Quite frankly I'm very concerned how difficult it is to get a response from your Claims Department. My Conservatory which was built In October 2016 started to leak in the summer of 2020 And because of your inaction I am having to have buckets in place when it rains.
No response - their Managing Director is Anda Gregory

Had Windows installed by Allstyle and was due remedial work in March 1920. Initial repair delayed by lockdown. Company ceased trading and I contacted Installsure through Web claim in August. Completed claim but no response or answer to left messages until I raised with Financial Ombudsman in November. It was then agreed for a survey and quote to be supplied. This was completed early December. Despite left messages and emails still no reply. Very poor service.
My name is Jean Drake I am in my eighties had new patio doors put in August 2019 the doors are bowed will not lock properly. Contacted Everest only to find all numbers are now not in use including the one to the Sales man Darren Woods Then I was informed they had gone into some sort of Liquidation??
They are still trading under the name of Everest 2020
I am pleased that people that put in orders after June 2020 will be honoured But where exactly does that put me and many others
I have contacted my local MP about this appalling situation and will keep on till something is done

MY CLAIM WAS PUT INTO INSTALLSURE AUGUST 2020
INSTALLSURE HAVE COMPLETELY IGNORED ME
PHONE CALLS AND E MAILS ARE IGNORED
MAKES ME WONDER WHAT EXACTLY IS GOING ON
DO NOT TRUST ANY OF THEM
Have been trying to make a claim for my Everest windows and front door since the beginning of October, their online claims process dose not work, sent them feedback, which was not good. Received an email from them saying they were sorry that I had experienced problems with their online claims process and that they would send the claim forms via post, still waiting for them to arrive! Tried phoning the number on their email, 'for urgent enquiries' got a message, "the voice mail for this number is full, goodbye". I have even emailed copies of the warranties to them and still got no where. Have just emailed them again informing them that if I do not hear from them by 30 October 2020 I will be taking legal action against them, but I do not hold much hope that either they, or indeed the legal system will do anything to help. They seem to be as reliable as Everest, 'one big con'. Just got ripped off by Everest and now by Installsure as well. Trouble is, all the installers seem to use the same company, this one. Just one big con!
Ha ha. Safestyle uses these. Received my documents yesterday and hoped this morning to make a claim for my faulty installation through Installsure. Apparently one of the conditions for a claim is that the company your grievance is against has gone ceased trading!

Had an extensive triple glazing install by Everest. Issues were scheduled for rectification but appointment was cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions. Seeking a further appointment, found that Everest had gone into administration. Claimed under Installsure warranty, but claim denied as partly paid (20%) by credit card.
This company will find any excuse to fob you off and avoid paying. Read your Installsure contract carefully to ensure that they will not be able to exclude your claim. There are enough exclusions for them to exclude almost any claim.
Essentially their guarantee is worthless.
