One of the worst experiences in my life. They are more concerned about milking customers through return shipping fees warehouse fees and a very arbitrary “return fee”. After being unhappy with a solar light that I purchased from them I contacted them and notified them that I’d like to return the item and to please send me a shipping label. After trying repeatedly to get a live agent on the phone I ended up e-mailing and finally got a return e-mail. The e-mail listed the slew of charges and the ridiculous number of hoops I had to jump through to get what amounted to a fraction of what I paid for this product. The last comment of their e-mail stated that after they reviewed and verified the return of this item I was then entitled to a “partial” refund! Never have I seen such greed and a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. One of the worst experiences of my life!

Don't expect to try to return anything because you will be charged extra charges that no other company does that does this type of business they act like they're a warehousing business but they're not they're a retail business and they should not charge a restocking fee you're just trying to figure out a new way to rip you off also they don't have to hire somebody to handle the return that's your losses if they say this is not legit they're lying

I purchased three 1400 lumens solar powered street lights. The lights are very well-made, that are constructed of high strength plastics and the solar panel is incorporated into the top of the lights. To install these lights, you simply insert the mounting poles and put it on the telephone pole selected and screw it in. You then set it to the selected light pattern or motion detection and you’re done…

SCAM!!!!! I also did not receive the light I ordered. I received 1 piece of sample tile in a box. I disputed the claim with my bank and Home and Lighting wrote a nasty letter. Total SCAM!!!! Do not be another victim like I was.

Please don't get fooled by the Facebook ads this company posts , they say they are made in the USA but that is far from the truth . They all say made in china and are flimsy garbage . The reviews on Facebook are fake . They got me for 2200.00 $ and won't let me return them and blocked me .

NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!! If I could give this company a 0, I would. They ripped us off on four outdoor solar lights. We ordered them in November of last year and we still haven't received the lights or been refunded. We called several times after the charge showed up on our statement, but they said they needed our drivers licenses before they'd send the lights, which raised all kinds of red flags. At that point we took the dispute up with our card company and they said the merchant sent them a tracking number for the package. We did receive a package in March of this year with that tracking number, but it was an empty box about 7" X 7", obviously too small to send four outdoor solar lights in. They scammed us and our card company and to this day, they've never sent us the lights or refunded our card. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE PEOPLE!

I URGE EVERYONE THINKING ABOUT BUYING ANYTHING FROM THIS SCAMMER TO CONTACT THE UTAH DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE - DIVISION OF CONSUMER PROTECTION AT 801-530-6601. UNFORTUNATELY I CANNOT UPLOAD THE EMAIL I RECEIVED FROM THEM BUT HERE IS ONE OF THEIR COMMENTS REGARDING THIS COMPANY.

"THEY HAVE BEEN FOUND TO OPERATE AN ONLINE BUSINESS SELLING HOME AND LIGHTING PRODUCTS TO CONSUMERS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES AT HOMEANDLIGHTING.CO, THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY AND THE MATTERS WERE REFERRED TO FTC AND ATTORNEY GENERAL, THEY WERE FOUND TO POSSIBLY BE LOCATED IN THE UK OR INDIA SOME REPORTS, TEXAS"

THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD! I PLACED AN ORDER AND CANCEL IT THE SAMED DAY. NO RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY THAT IS RUN BY A ONE MAN SHOW BUT I DID GET AN EMAIL SAYING THEY ARE SHIPPING THE ORDER SAME DAY. THAT WAS 3 WEEKS AGO. STAY AWAY! PLEASE READ THE NUMEROUS BAD REVIEWS AND COMPLAINTS FILED WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
UPDATE : INSTEAD OF LIGHTS, I RECEIVED 2 PIECES OF TILE FLOOR SAMPLES !!!

I have not received the lights I ordered and I called to check on the shipping. I had the worst experience from the operator to the supervisor Patrick. I was SCREAMED AT TELLING ME I DON'T LISTEN AND THEY WOULD SEND ME THE TRACKING IN THE EMAIL. Well guess what, when I get the lights I am sending them right back unopened. I will Purchase from a U.S. Company not some OVERSEAS FRONT. I don't care if you have the best lights in the WORLD YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO RESPECT YOUR CUSTOMER THEY KEEP THE LIGHTS ON.

The product works and looks great! We mounted a pair of these lights on a waterfront where there is no power available. They arrive quickly, and easy to operate.

Prompt shipping. Live in a rural area and bought these to light up some of the dark areas in our yard. So far, I'm impressed. The different settings give me options for each light and that is also handy. Definitely worth the money.

Its a well made product thus far (up only 4 days) easy to operate remote (which is a plus)

The light arrive in a timely fashion, however three weeks after it was delivered I received a bill for shipping that was almost 50% of the purchase price.
I think it was because I live in Canada. Because of that I don’t think I will be ordering any more lights

The lights were not as expected. The mounting did not allow me to install them the way I intended. The real problem was I was unable to reach anyone to arrange a return after multiple attempts over multiple days. That is unacceptable under any circumstances

They claim now (July 2024) that I am a competitor but I assure you I bought direct from them for my personal use. Worst customer service ever. They're still sitting in a pile in my shop. No way to use them and no way to return them

This is the second time I've ordered items from the company but the first time ordering anything outside the pole mounted 60W light. The 60W lights have worked great. The latest purchase of the 180 led solar light is a flop....doesn't hold charge more than 2-3 hours and doesn't last all night as stated. Looking to return it and stick to the street light styles.

Trust the bad reviews. I always do my research and sometimes take my chances and I did because of a sale they had. Made of very cheap plastic. Customer service is a joke, they claim a 2 year warranty but really there is no warranty. They will not help you, just take your money and run.

This company has deceptive sales practices. One star is not low enough. You will buy their lights. You will get them and you will find no lighting hardware. You will email them to let them know you are missing the hardware and they respond that you denied this on your order. They will then offer you three options. One is that they will send you them for free if you post a video. See my screen shots below. I would strongly bet that everyone of the video reviews are similarly coerced out each duped buyer. After getting the lights they are flimsy, crappy and poor lighting. They are definitely not the 6000 lumens advertised. Do not be deceived.

I have updated my review after Home and Lighting left their comment. Note how they don't try to engage the customer and deflect saying this is their competitor. What a joke. You are a scam and I fell for it. When a person is looking to buy something they look at reviews. Well these people cracked how to get reviews and video reviews. The blackmail you over a part that should have been part of your order. They bring legitimacy to their products by extorting a review. Once you have spent several hundred dollars getting the lights you feel you don't want to pay anymore so people cave. Good luck! You will reap what you sow!

I ordered one of their outdoor security lights all their advertising shows the light with mounting brackets. The light can’t be placed or used without a bracket. Their marketing on this product doesn’t clearly state up front that the mounting bracket is sold separately. This information is hidden in the FAQ’s however. They will not refund the item because the box was damaged by rain. In addition they will not pay for shipping to return the item, and they will only refund a small portion of the purchase price.
