Very good

The delivery took longer than expected, but my fears were in vain. I received the bamboo in excellent condition and mood. I am delighted with my new friends! Thank you. I will definitely be back.

Very flimsy and instructions dire

Radiators covers look ok now but very flimsy. They came in tiny parts and instructions were very poor. Every lathe had to be tacked on rather than the fronts coming as a whole. I had to pay someone to finish off the rad covers for me as it was too difficult. Cost me another €150. So not a happy camper.

This is just a dropshipping company. At least for plants, I would avoid

Hopefully this review will be useful for some people. After a bad experience with a plant ordered from a French website that arrived dead due to the long time in transit, I decided I would only order plants coming from Ireland. HNG claim the ship most of the items from their warehouse. For plants, that is simply not true. They use a dropshipping company in the Netherlands called "Perfect Plant Deal B.V". A quick Google search will show you what that company do. As for timeliness, they say on their website 1-3 days. It's been 3 days since I ordered and the package hasn't even left the dropshipping company, in the Netherlands. If you email HNG, you get a reply from AKH Concepts Limited, a quick Google search and you'll see it's the same company and you'll see they deal with Living Social and websites like that. So my guess is that it is also dropshipping for other stuff apart from plants. This is certainly the reason for other reviews from Trustpilot stating their package was in China, Spain...Also to ad, with regards to a review from 3rd of June where reviewer complained of tracking number not working which they replied saying they were going to look into it. That is because they send the link for DPD.ie but it should be checked in the NL version of DPD. You decide whether that's accidental or by design.
As soon as I realised of what HNG does, I've been trying to cancel the order but they say I can't despite the tracking showing the package hasn't been picked up by the shipping carrier. I haven't received the plant yet. So I can't comment on the quality of the item. But definitely if you care about timeliness or where the item is coming from, think twice before ordering with them. In my case I'm pretty sure I'll have to end up requesting a chargeback from bank.
Based on what I have seen, I am pretty sure they will reply to this review saying this is not true, that they ship from their warehouse...But as I said, this review is in case someone finds it helpful.

Hi Jorge Collado, we're sorry to hear you were unhappy with your experience. The small plant you ordered was processed when we said it was, and as with most couriers, tracking updates begin when the parcel reaches the shipping depot and is first scanned.

While we do dispatch many items from our warehouse in Portarlington, Co. Laois, some products may ship directly from trusted suppliers when not in local stock, as this can be the quickest option for delivery.

Your request to cancel came after the order was already processed, as explained in our email exchanges. That said, we kept you informed throughout and, as a gesture of goodwill, the low priced item was refunded.

We feel this review does not fairly reflect our service but we appreciate your feedback.

I was not allowed to cancel order

I placed an order for an human dog bed and then emailed to make sure it would arrive by my daughter’s birthday. The sales person rang me shortly thereafter to tell me it wouldn’t arrive on time and asked would I like to cancel. I cancelled order and then ordered the same product from a different company. I then received an email to say that the sales person from H&G was not able to cancel the order. She said the order had gone through and it was too late and that all I could do was refuse the order at the door when it arrived and that I would not be refunded the cost of transport. The order arrived two weeks later and was left on my doorstep. I am now stuck with two human sized dog beds. I find it very hard to understand how the retailer could not cancel an order within hours of it being placed and I think it was very poor and unfair customer service.

When you first reached out to ask whether the item would arrive in time, we responded within 30 minutes to let you know that unfortunately, it would not. However, the order was placed before that message was seen. After your order came through, we spoke with you by phone and explained the situation. At that time, we said we would check if it could be cancelled for you.

Unfortunately, by the time we followed up, the order had already been downloaded into our system and was in processing — at that point, it was too late to stop or cancel it. We understand how disappointing that must have been, especially after you’d gone to the trouble of arranging an alternative.

We aim to process and ship orders as quickly as possible, but we truly regret the inconvenience caused in this case. Thank you again for your feedback.

My order hasn’t arrived!

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction regarding an order I placed on May 17th, which I have not yet received.
Despite having sent three emails requesting updates, I have not received any response from your team. Additionally, the tracking page has not shown any updates for several days, and now indicates a review page, even though I have received nothing.
This is unacceptable and extremely frustrating. Your website promises reliable service, but my experience has been the complete opposite — lack of communication, inaccurate tracking information, and a failure to deliver what was promised.
It is shameful for a company to treat its customers this way — ignoring emails, failing to provide updates, and displaying false information. I expected better, and I hope to receive a resolution immediately.
