The complaint is with billing and…

The complaint is with billing and coding. I had the identical office check ups at Dermatology Health Partners for many years. I was always billed the copay. The last identical visit I was charged 202.00. They say I used a Hospital room. I appealed and lost in spite of my Dr and His Nurse confirming my service was the same and he sees patients in his office at Regions Hospital. I am now sending it to the Attorney Generals Office

This clinic almost killed me

I went to park nicollet also known as health partners. Since the day I was born. As a kid my mom brought me in complaining I was going blind and running into walls. The doctors called us liars. In my early twenties I was having major issues. I kept going in and the doctors were so rude. Calling ne things lije a hypochondriac and saying they refused to run more tests because there was nothing wrong with me and it was all in my head. I kept saying there was something wrong with my heart and they didnt believe me. I left their care. 6 yrs agp my heart gave out. And since then I have had 2 open heart surgeries and a defibrillator put in. They have figured out my whole life. Since I was born I had a life threatening heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. And that the signs were there since I was born. But these doctors were too incompetent to figure it out. It came close to costing me my life. Beware of these doctors who ignore these patients and are to incompetent to do their jobs.

Wish there was zero star

Wish there was zero star!
I thought the occupational therapist was an independent and impartial body but it was not the case. The doctor conveniently left out all the important pointers I made and deemed me fit to work to support my company (obviously they paid them). One that I was 39 years of age being pregnant (high risk). Two my insulin dosage has significantly increased due to physical and mental stress at my workplace. Three that I was advised by the doctor that I had a benign cervical polyp of 2cm which may require surgery after delivery and to not travel or walk much which my current job demands. I felt defeated even after having the right reasons to take holiday prior to maternity, only because the doctor was not free of influence and wanted to please my company for more business.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

I am writing to express our frustration regarding a recent interaction with your Membership Accounting Department. Unfortunately, our experience with two of your agents, JC and Chandler, was extremely disappointing. During our call, they were discourteous and abruptly disconnected the call while we were still in the process of asking questions.

We are concerned about the apparent lack of professionalism exhibited by your representatives. It raises questions as to whether there are standard operating procedures (SOPs) or quality assurance measures in place to ensure a high standard of customer service.

We sincerely hope that management will take appropriate action to address this matter and implement the necessary steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.

DONT DO IT

I received blue chip for my 2 children, and they automatically assigned me to Health partners. I only had to deal with them for 2 months and NEVER AGAIN. Horrible customer service. no one seems to know anything. Always gave me a hard time even setting everything up. They had to refund me a month's payment which was close to $400, and it took them over 60 days to refund it!!!! HORRBILE do not do it!

health partners is trash

health partners is trash. avoid them like the plaugue. advise to go in for testing, had to schedule out for 6 months. get in for the testing, it takes them almost a year to go over the testing and send me a cryptic message through what they call my chart app. Then i try, doesnt work through the my chart app, then they say i have to go online to access it. Never called me, never followed up, just send cryptic messages from my chart app. If you download the my chart app, it is not the right one, they say download the health parters app, then htey say you can not access anything unless oyu go online. The medication dotor sucks, they ask me what medication i would like to try. Well i am not the doctor, o do not know wha to try. When you are frustrated durin the zoom meeting they chuckle and laugh at you and smilled and never hepled, never sem like she actualluy cared. I had to run the appoinments, The experience there makes me understand why mental health is a crisis. They are not there to help you. They are there to collect your money from your insurance provider. No help what so ever. I will avoid health partners like the plaugue unless it is an absolute last resort. They will not communicate with oyur other doctors. If those other doctors reach out they will not respond. They will not do anything for your care. FInd someone else. DO NOT USE. I do not write reviews, but this was absolutly atrocious. Finally after 9 months another doctor had to reach out to another doctor which cost me money to set up an appointment. They made me feel as if i am the problem. ANother win for their pocket books. I will be filing a formal complaint with health partners which will absolutly go no where i am sure. I will follow this through only because i hope the next person that is worse off than i am finds the care they need.

Mixed feelings

Mixed feelings. I've had some great health care providers and one bad experience. I got an explanation of benefits today and tried to figure out how to pay on my dashboard. I couldn't find bill pay on my dashboard. I did a search and it took me to another page where I wasn't logged in. It asked for my guarantor number which isn't on the EOB. Gave up. I thought this is too hard and a stupid way to spend Saturday morning. Then I decided to let Health partners know how irritating this.

I went in for a med check

I went in for a med check. My doctor would not re-fill my long term med unless I went in for a visit. I was with him for 20 minutes. He wrote the prescription. A week or so later I received bill for over $900. I've been fighting with them ever since. This was at the Stillwater clinic. They obviously coded it wrong. I'm still getting bills. Terrible and frustrating.

Virtuwell- is a concern as they don’t seem to understand severity of symptoms with their triage system. I was referred for having symptoms which were more concerning. This is ok and responsible, however, I was not informed until the next day. This is dangerous and when this was brought up they gave a canned response. Someone will be hurt using this service. It is like someone having chest pains and not bothering to respond in a timely manner.

I have had Robin Healthpartners…

I have had Robin Healthpartners Medicare insurance for year 2024. I didn't renew with this insurance because most of my Dr. did not fall within their WI network. All were deemed approved even though not in network. I do not recommend this insurance, they are trying to penetrate and get a foot hold in WI. They canceled my account on 12-31-24, technically the last day I have their insurance. I couldn’t use my remaining health dollars due to early cancellation on their part. DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE IF YOU LIVE IN WI!

This company is corrupt

I would not ever work at healthpartners. I'm disabled and have all the education and skills to work for 3 different positions I applied for and was denied. I'm the perfect person for the positions. I am also going to file a discrimination, civil and DHS reports. Healthpartners has broken several laws. Ohh and I'm leaving reviews on several other packages. I guess whistle blowers laws does not apply to to Healths partners. Don't don't apply ohh and they tried to charge me 150.00 because the manager of the IGH clinic would not bill my insurance and told me I had to go to their 2 dirtiest clinic at Healthpartners when my primary does not work at either even though I have a weak immune system. Worst company ever only cares about profit never its employees and especially not patients, suck my tit.

Predatory Insurance Company

This insurance is so bad it has been the catalyst for me to leave a 10 year career with a company that uses HealthPartners as an insurer. Everything about them is absolutely nightmarish... just the worst in every regard. This year they nearly doubled the cost of single+spouse insurance cost. Absolutely disgusting business that preys on working class people. Avoid any employer that use this insurance.

Just a warning to patients needing…

Just a warning to patients needing surgery. I just had Total hip replacement surgery, it was a brutal surgery for me as I live with a disability that painfully attacks my nerves, therefore major surgery has left my pain amped up higher then the normal person. Trying to get pain meds refilled... WARNING ⚠️ does not matter what pain scale your in, the prescription from your doctor wants you to take, or what type of surgery you have... Health partners Rule, you are allowed 14 days of pain meds every 60 days. Leaving us post surgical patients in a horrible situation with lack of pain control which directly affects recovery tremendously. I regret having this surgery badly now, but I did not have many options as I was losing my ability to walk.. Thanks to so many people abusing opiates, everyone is paying for that with their lives. Literally. Thanks for playing god with lives Health partners. Heartless. My care team is very frustrated as well as I'm now unable to get the care they recommend, PT is nearly impossible now as leg is now locked up and hurting more then ever. No idea how to move forward in life when I can't walk, my recovery has been extended and made worse. It's only been 10 days since my surgery, got my last refill of 32 tonight. Prayers to you all that end up in this situation. It's inhumane and cruel for an insurance company to think they know more then surgeons and doctors caring for us. Health partners insurance are not medically trained doctors. They are Office workers sitting behind a desk. Not educated in the medical field whatsoever.

Health Partners directed me to Urgent Care for getting my prescription refilled

This is regarding Health Partners Plymouth Clinic. I have called them up many times now and I have had the same experience every single time. No one, I repeat no one answers the phone. And, its not only me, my Insurance and Pharmacy had the same experience, and they all gave up.
My doctor had not responded to the request from my pharmacy for an ongoing medication refill. When I went there personally, they told me to visit Urgent Care and get a prescription for the medicine that my primary physician should have ordered a refill in the first place. This means I have to pay Urgent Care charges, just to get a prescription refilled. And, they do not allow patients to message the Care team, for refills.
When I asked, why no one answered the phone, I was told a 45-min wait time is normal for them.

DO NOT Recommend

DO NOT Recommend! Health Partner Medicaid Division Fraudulently Denied my claims

I am on the MN State Medicaid system, and have up until now used Health Partner’s as my insurance (Denoted to HP from here on out).

On August 7th, 2024, I started receiving the notice from several of my providers’ billers that the HP had been denying coverage for all of my medical claims in July. and that I would have to start paying for all expenses out of pocket, even though I was told I was eligible and covered with them.
This was part of the message from one of the billers: “Individual receiving medical care not eligible for benefits for submitted dates of service. R Acknowledgement/Rejected for Invalid Information - The claim/encounter has invalid information as specified in the Status details and has been rejected. Entity not eligible for benefits for submitted dates of service.”

After receiving this information, on August 7th I called HP to inquire why I was not being covered for claims with my providers in July. HP told me that I was being denied coverage because I was already covered through the insurance I got from my former job, which ended on June 30th and I had given advance notice of this cessation of coverage to HP prior to that. Knowing this, I asked the HP rep about it, and I was told that I was still covered by them in their system, so I would need to take it up with my former insurance, and HP would be denying me coverage for each of my provider visits in July.

I then called my former employment, who reaffirmed that I was not enrolled with their insurance services anymore as of end of June, confirming what I already knew.

With the confirmation in hand, I called Health Partners again on August 9th. I informed them that contrary to their assertions on August 7th, I was not remotely eligible for coverage through any other insurance in July, and therefore should be covered through HP This is where it got wild - The representative readily agreed, and said that their system did not show her that I had the previous health coverage in July at all, only HP, even though when I called on two days earlier I was informed the exact opposite. The representative did not claim that the change was due to a slow system, or other excuse, and simply stated that HP would pay for the eligible services in July to my various providers, and that I did not need to worry.

In the 14 days since that phone call, and as of August 23rd, I have continued to be told by my provider billers that Health Partners has not approved the claims, and prompted to pay for my medical bills.

So now, I am led to believe that Health Partners Medicaid division has acted in bad faith with me, and through deception have attempted to deny me vital healthcare coverage for the month of July. From the initial phone call on August 7th when HP were blatantly attempting to shift the responsibility of payment to another insurance despite advance warning of the changes, to my claims continuing to be unpaid for despite the assertions of their representatives that they will be. This is wrong, and fraudulent.

While they claim they are willing and able to cover my claims now, I do not have the same faith that I once held with them, and am concerned that given the opportunity, they will attempt to find a way out of paying claims at a time when I need to access care.
I greatly depend on my medical providers and as a result of HP’s mismanagement (intentional as I am left to believe, or otherwise), I am now responsible to pay for all my provider’s invoices, which is an unexpected and costly financial burden. HP has not paid my providers for over 7 weeks, and for my health I cannot afford to lose my medical services. Since my medical needs are important to me, I am left with no other option that to change to a different medicaid insurance so that I don’t lose my services.

Considering as well that I have had to spend many hours over the span of weeks on the phone them, for them to still not pay my bills, is completely unacceptable. I am lucky that I have a job where I can make these phone calls at work, (which are only available on weekday working hours, mind you) a luxury that others who may be struggling in similar situations with health partners might not have. But I have heard others share similar experience with Health Partners Medicaid division, who have continued to weasel out of payments and leave people holding the bag for their medical bills despite the fact that most people insured with the state health insurance system are often struggling to make ends meet as is.

Please, do not choose them as your medicaid provider if you can help it, and if you can’t, be aware of what you might experience

A HP staff from Inver Grove Heights…

A HP staff from Inver Grove Heights called to speak with one of my residents. I asked who is calling after I introduced myself. And she responded, “I’m RN from HP clinic. I was actually expecting for her to properly introduce herself. RN is a position, not a name. I was expecting she will mention her name first and then her position- this is, I think, more appropriate. This is a constructive criticism.

Worst Insurance Ever

This is the absolute worse insurance ever! I’ve been on the same medication for over five years and then all of a sudden Health Partners decides that they are no longer going to cover it because they don’t have to! Excuse me pay over $700 every two weeks and you get to dictate what me and my doctor decide is best for my health, that’s not ok. We’ve filed appeals and because they have the upper hand of course our appeal was denied. I’ll just switch to my husbands insurance (not that they care) who’ll cover my preventive medication to ensure I don’t become diabetic.

Health Partners Member services:

6/524 I have spent the entire morning with member services and Walgreens getting the run around from a mistake the doctor made on my dosage. When all was said and done. Behind the scenes the people l thought were there to support me after l did all the leg work with the doctor to correct her mistake to the pharmacist to get clearance from member services. Member services told the pharmacist that I had to pay extra co-pay to get another 90 pills because "they are not going to pay for the doctors mistake. This is what member services thinks of us behind the scenes. They are blaming me for picking up the wrong prescription even l immediately called Health Partners and alerted them. Fast forward to today, when l pick up the rest of my prescription today they will "make me pay" for the 2nd claim as they put it. Very disheartening having to hold the people that are supposed to help me accountable. Now l have no trust in member services. The only reason l even got this far is because l was persistent. So basically they couldn't care less who pays for a mistake as long as it's me, not them, not the doctor that made the mistake that works for Health Partners
