Beware of the cologaurd test kit
HP partnered with Exact Sciences sent out unsolicited test kits. Then shortly after sent multiple texts prompting the completion of the “ NO COST SCREENING” . I sent it in after about 10 days and shortly afterwards received a $681 bill for this “Free Screening”
HP used deceptive and predatory tactics to run this BS scam on thousands of people.
What a scam company!
Absolutely annoying and shit.
Went to Healthpartners.edical and…
Went to Healthpartners medical and dental for nearly 30 years along with my family. We always had good experiences until recently. The quality of care has determined significantly and the good care workers have left. The final straw was being refused care, even cash payment. The receptionist would ot let me past the check in area due to my company insurance. I would not recommend them to anyone as they have gotten oversized and greedy and no longer serve the patient.
Park Nicollet Clinic in Chanhassen
I have been seeing my primary for over 10 years @ the Chanhassen clinic and I always expect him to be a little late but 45 minutes??? That is ridiculous. My time isn’t valued though if I show up late my appointment gets canceled even though they know one is behind.
Highly unreliable appointments system
I made an appointment with a pediatrician 2 weeks in advance via healthpartners.com. The appointment was for June 8, 2026. Everything looked good, and the appointment was confirmed on the web page for that date, which I put in my calendar. On the said date, I took my child to see the doctor, only to be told there is no such appointment, and the appointment is set for June 16!!! I had never received a confirmation email, so I had no proof of the appointment I set up online. They have somehow changed the appointment date on their end without bothering to let me know. Highly disappointing. This ruined my day, as I had to organize my whole day around this appointment. Furthermore, when I was told this at the clinic, I asked that they cancel the appointment for June 16, which I never made. I then realized that was a mistake! Now there is absolutely no trace whatsoever on healthpartners.com or in the email that any appointments were ever made! Of course, there is also no way to provide feedback about things like this on healthpartners.com. A completely absurd and maddening experience altogether.
The company owns noran neurology
I made a complaint to one of their r facilities about the way I was treated and they didn't bother to call me about my complaint and then when I called up the customer experience person all she said was sorry about your experience she wasn't willing to even follow up with the people that didn't have the decency to respond to my complaint
17000 and counting This practice has over 17 ,000…
This practice has over 17 ,000 patiebts and is advertising for more
I have fibromyalgia thst has never been treated and they say they have no finding to send me to the fibrmyalgia clinic in gumuys hospital.
I have been ill with other diseases for 40 years and this is the worst practice for continuity of care , in-fact its the worst practice i ever had the misfortune to be put in after moving 200 yards down the road.
The catchment areas are based it seems on affordability of how costly the patient is to the practice. Someone like me with 4 differing diseases is expensive so they will it seem not treat everything as it pught to be in my opinion.
I am tired as are alot of us of being a statistic - having no relationship with a GP and for a receptionist to say thats how the NHS is at this time is no excuse for NOT treating people os it?
After all we the people PAY for the NHS too? Its our service but we are treated as if its a complete freebe and we should be horrendously grateful… for the jobs the drs hold which we pay .. in more ways then one it seems to me… dont you agree? There is no way a HUB even can deal with all those patients without poor outcome for the patients at times. Practice is impersonal, too big, too officious , too lacking in care ultimately however one wants to make Of that word CARE.

DO NOT TRUST HEALTH PARTNERS
DO NOT TRUST HEALTH PARTNERS! I am in PA & have HP via Medicaid. I have been taking the same medication for 6 years and for 6 years it’s been nothing but issues. If you guessed prior-authorization you’re right! These people are insanely negligent when it comes to other people’s healthcare. A pre-authorization is supposed to be good for 6 months. I’m lucky if I get a month in between of me actually getting my medication with no issues. I will be leaving HP. They have added so many more problems to the already existing problems. Customer service is terrible. They are just here for the money. If you are using them please make sure you’re calling every month at least a week before any med refills to make sure they didn’t abruptly end your authorizations. This time I got “there is a drug interaction.” Yes. The same “interaction” we have known about for the last SIX YEARS!
Stay Away, they will find ways to not pay
I chose Health Partners Insurance because they would accept the drug company coupons to help pay for my specialty med and get me to my deductible. I received my med and CVS got paid and that amount should have went to my deductible, but apparently HP decided not to accept the med companies payment towards my deductible this year. They will accept the coupon plus they want me to pay another deductible amount myself. They are double dipping. I now have to go without the meds which keep my Rheumatoid under control, and hope I can make it to Medicare in 5 months. It is very nice that the pharmaceutical company was helping people to afford the expensive meds, but it is disgusting that HP is trying to find ways to screw the customer. I wish I would have never gone with them. Every Insurance company I dealt with to this point accepted the assistance. DO NOT GO WITH HEALTH PARTNERS they change things as they go.
UPDATE: Since this writing Health Partners has manually changed all my deductible numbers to reflect there claim that my responsibilities for my specialty meds are not covered. Unfortunately for them I screenshot the original showing that I was only a few hundred dollars from my deductible. Now I'm back to square one with an $8400 deductible. At least I have proof that they were messing around with my plan. What a crooked Insurance Company. Time to take it to the State.
Today was great
Today was great. Sarah Haskins listened and was very compassionate. Yesterday in urgent care the PC-A said suffer for 2 weeks with a sinus infection. I will never go to urgent care again.
Avoid Tria at all costs
Go in for an MRI. Need the results. Told me it would be 1 to 2 days. No answers. Some lady on the tria call line said I could schedule an appoint for a week out. Pure garbage.
Health Partners Doesn't Believe in Perimenopause
HealthPartners doesn't believe in perimenopause. They will gaslight you at every turn. Tell you you're making it up. Classic perimenopause symptoms like frozen shoulder -- "Hm. I've never heard of it." They will make you FEEL INSANE. I've been through several doctors there, trying to get HRT and I've been instructed to: "Stop waking up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night," "Stop being a side sleeper" and "none of these CLASSIC signs of perimenopause can we trace back to perimenopause."
Extremely disappointed with the absolute lack of care here.
Awful all around with no redeemable qualities
Truly a terrible, predatory company... I had the misfortune of my healthcare coverage being through them for part of this year as I didn't have employer coverage at the time. "Coverage" is a funny word to use, as almost nothing was actually covered, despite paying a small fortune to them in premiums monthly. Thankfully, I got a job with insurance and got to cancel this coverage and thought that was the end of it, until they continued to bill me after cancellation, despite me having already turned off autopay in anticipation of possible shenanigans like this. Despite plainly seeing that autopay was turned off, and being assured my coverage was, in fact, cancelled, they claimed my autopay was merely "paused" and there was nothing they could do on their end. Lesson learned. Next time, if it's between using Health Partners or going uninsured, I'll just go uninsured. I lost thousands of dollars this year to this predatory, unhelpful company that covered essentially nothing when I actually needed medical care.
HealthPartners doesn't know they dont have pediatric gastroenterology in network
Most of the time things are fine but I would like to explain what is not ok. My child received a referral to see a gastroenterologist. The provider gave me the number for the GI specialty clinic of HealthPartners but they don's see children. I called member services and was given the # for Children's Hospital which is in network but they no longer have a GI clinic. So I called Member services and they told me Gillette Children's which I called but they are not seeing new patients. So I called Member services and they said I need to call my provider and get a specific referral to an out of network clinic and then go through an out of network authorization process. It does seem that HealthPartners doesn't update information, makes patients and their families go through large waste of time back and forth calls to multiple providers when the member services should actually be the ones keeping track of who does what and not making patient's families have to do the work for the insurer.
Some of the doctors are quite nice
Some of the doctors are quite nice, and it feels like they are being held captive by the billing department and not allowed to care for patients the way the doctors wish. HP seems to base everything on charts and graphs. This forces doctors to prescribe medications for you that you may not need, especially cholesterol medications that can have horrible side effects. They also give you useless "Wellness checks" and code them as physicals, even though a customer service person told me that "Wellness Checks are nothing. They don't do anything." Then if you try and get a physical you get charged over 500 dollars because you had a "Wellness Check.". I feel sorry for the doctors and encourage them to go somewhere that will allow them a better work environment. There is also a systemic disrespect and devaluing of women. If you go, expect the disrespect. (Receptionists are generally quite nice and helpful. Lab people are kind and easy to understand. It is the supervisors that are the problem.)
Worst insurance ever
Worst insurance ever. They won’t send me my medication that literally keeps me alive. These people are actually evil and they kill people all the time by not approving their medication. Do better, these are human beings who need their medication to live. There is no specific date for this experience, I have been dealing with this for 6 months.
It's an unbelievably incompetent…
It's an unbelievably incompetent system. The agents are rude, they won't answer questions, and they double bill monthly, on occasion. In addition, they send billing statements at all times during the month. To give a perfect example of the horrendous service, I called to see how far out a particular doctor schedules but they would not answer unless I provided a date a birth, address, etc. Absolute nonsense. Then, I sent the clinic an email and after 4 weeks have yet to get a reply. If a "healthcare" system can't do these basic things, don't expect them to be able to provide quality service. I'd keep looking.
HP home medical equipment is awful
HP home medical equipment is awful. It took them exactly 3 weeks to contact me regarding a new cpap machine following a sleep study. I returned their call but had to leave a message. Then today, exactly one week later I received an email that my account was going inactive because they couldn't get in contact with me. Their service has always been suspect, slow and difficult to contact. After today I am finally moving on to another cpap provider. Someone needs to make some management changes in the home medical supply department.
They will over charge you for everything
Summary:
-They will charge you $300+ for every little thing(in our case earwax removal that wasn't asked for).
-in order to see a specialist you must first go to 2 separate $500+ consult appointments
-Customer service is lacking.
-I would recommend a smaller clinic for day to day visits. we were happy coming here for child birth
We have been going to health partners for a few years now. Each time we left frustrated. We have now hit a point where we are done with them unless its something major like birth or a surgery.
We had both our 2 babies there and were generally happy with the quality of care, but day to day things we have been very frustrated with the service.
Last year our daughter had an ear infection so we took her in to get some antibiotics. when they were looking in her ear there was some earwax in the way. my wife scooped most out with her fingernail and the doctor wiped the remaining out so she could see. when we got our bill there was a $350 charge for "ear wax removal"
Now our daughter has very bad eczema. we took her in to get a allergy test. the initial consult was supposed to be a video call, but the video didn't work so the doctor on the phone just referred us to a specialist. He didn't look at her skin, didn't give us any medical advice. Essentially acted as a receptionist. we were charged $500 for this 5 minute phone call to schedule the actual appointment. we finally got the allergy appointment scheduled and realized it was just another consult even though we came for an allergy test. They require 3 $500+ appointments just to get an allergy test.
Overall we have been fine with the quality of care, but they are slimy with billing and try to get as much money from their patients as possible. Customer service is bad
Avoid at all costs!
If I could give a zero rating I would. I am traveling from out of state and needed a new mask. I called the HealthPartners customer service line and told them what I needed. I was told to go to the Stillwater MN clinic and they had the mask in stock. I was told I could self pay for the item. Nicole assured me I could buy the mask at the clinic. She even called the clinic to make sure.
When I arrived, after a 40 minute drive I was told I needed an appointment and there were none available. I was told to make an appointment and come back. I told the check in lady no, I was told to come here. She got very nervous and a tech came out. She said I am on the phone but can help if I came back in one hour.
We came back after an hour and was told security had been called and would be there when I was there. I never raised my voice or caused a scene?
The tech then told me I needed to go to the St. Paul clinic to see if they had the mask. Really???
I then drove 40 minutes to St. Paul and met with Kaytlyn, who was awesome. She got my mask and I paid quickly.
A single mask replacement took several hours out of my day because Nichole from customer service had no clue how to do her job. The tech at Stillwater said “Sorry” flippantly and had security lurking to ease her ill conserved emotions.
Stay away from this company at all costs. Order your supplies from an online vendor and avoid the hassle. I wish I could have but we were traveling and not able to ship to us. 1 star is way too much for this atrocious company and customer service. Remember, buy online, get your item in one day and avoid the hassle of HealthPartners who should be called Not A Partner.
