Experiencing HealthEngine making bookings I did not make for myself and now being billed by drs for not attending. This has happened three times already. Cannot get hold of them on the phone. Will never use HealthEngine again. Very disappointed.

Unable to book a covid booster using Heath Engine it wont load whatever page needed ..tried for over an hour . Started with Gov links and Pharmacy links all end up at Health Engine then nothing ...very frustrating

I emailed the provider as the the below response and I’ve been ignored. As stated below. Provider should be avoided.

Ensure you read all conditions (including opening all the expansion boxes). This service has lots of conditions on what services they will and will not offer over the phone. Later they will claim the information is clearly detailed on their site. I would suggest that hiding key information within conditions inside expansion boxes far ydown the page is not making it clear. Conpany offered a full refund and then disnt process it. You’re better off finding another provider that is more ethical.

Can’t contact Healthengine don’t know if my GP has closed or on holiday
Healthengine took my booking and I don’t know if the doctor is coming back for this booking there is no one to contact so much for Healthengine support

So I tested Healthengine for 3 months. I had both HotDoc and Healthengine running as booking systems. I can conclude without a doubt that Hotdoc runs a more honest business, with functionality and flexibility that works. Healthengine on the other hand masks itself as a better value alternative until you get hit by all their other fees. It's okay if the charges are legitimate. The issue is that they are not. So HE claimed to have "introduced 32 new patients" in the last 3 months. 9 of them are no show which they still charged. and about 6 of them are existing patients that might have fumbled their way into declaring that they were new patients. Their seemingly innocent low fee of fifty is suddenly Three Hundred. Sure - the practice is prepared to pay for the legitimate referrals but paying double the amount of real new patients is a no go. I implore you to go and check how many of the patient's the invoice suggests are new patients are actually new or turned up to an appointment.

Out of the box functionality - Hotdoc does everything I need it to do without any necessarily having top up or purchase a premium service. I wanted to disable specific types of booking during the holiday period. Hotdoc did it with a single click. Health Engine required me to call them... tell them I want to deactivate said account... call them back when I want to reactivate it.

All in all - it's not a terrible product. It does what it is supposed to do. It's just that Hot Doc is significantly better, more transparently and reasonably priced, with better functionality.
