Cancelled order with absolutely no contact to me as of why
Ordered a scooter for pickup at my local branch yesterday. Received an email this morning one stating id had a refund and a second one stating the order had been cancelled and that halfords would be in contact with me telling me the reason why. Yet nothing fantastic customer service id say cancelled ur orders with no explanation also apparently I went back online to see if it would let me order it again and states getting more stock on Wednesday the 15 so why not just call if it was a stock issue and say sorry we out of stock but if you don't mind waiting a few days as we getting more in I would of not minded. Now I have to wait 5 days for a refund even thow they quick enough to take ur money Absolute shambles will not be dealing with again.

booked and paid online twice at Halfords Selly Oak (Birmingham) for fittings (headlights AUD and Mercedes wipers). On both visits I waited a long time only to be told the parts couldn’t be fitted — once they said they only can change one unit, and another time the part didn’t fit despite my car details and the website recommendation. Staff were dismissive and I wasted time and had to change my travel plans — very disappointing.
Also Staf are very rude behind the desk

Received the worst customer service ever in London from an employee named Zubair at the Mile End store in London on Friday. He's rude, dismissive and was rude to my 5 year old son - a child!. I surely will not be spending my money in Halfords again.

I booked an appointment at Halfords in Bodmin, Cornwall because my CarPlay stopped working (USB port stopped working) & a lovely guy named Justin helped diagnose the issue & recommended a vent holder for my phone, so that I could at least view Google maps whilst driving back to London, given the map would not display on my screen. I am grateful to Justin for his help. Thank you!

Been with Halfords Autocentre near me for some time and happy with them due to the friendly and efficient person in reception. Joined the Premium Motoring Club and happy with the discounts and services offered. However, change of personnel on reception has changed my mind and I was dealt with in a very brusque and almost rude way last time my car was booked in. Thinking of leaving the Motoring Club and my decision was confirmed by some friends who had a bad experience with Halfords - car booked in for service and MOT so they left the car and looked around town, car not ready at the end of the day, so they had to come home and take it back on another occasion. I think staff problems caused it. My Premium Membership, paid annually, was due mid October so I filled in an online form to cancel - long story short, not easy to leave (Hotel California) but after conflicting information and several emails, they have now emailed to confirm my membership is cancelled. I also contacted my Bank to cancel the payment in case they try to take it. Going to use another garage in future, so see how that goes.

Such a shame as they used to be such a good company.
I neeeded four standard wheel nuts to replace four locking wheel nuts that I had removed.
I phoned customer services to see if the nearest branch 6 miles away had them in stock. The first person that answered i couldn't understand a word that they said. I asked them if they could repeat themselves more slowly, but if anything it was just as bad as the first time but even faster. I just explained I still couldn't understand what they said and being polite I said it was probably due to a bad line, when in actual fact I think they were doing it deliberately. Now I've dealt with many foreign call desks in my time but I have never found someone who clearly made no attempt to be understood. I rang back and again got someone with a very strong language, but having also asked them to repeat themselves they did make the effort to speak clearly. On asking for the wheel nuts they spent 10 minutes looking into it and then advised that they do not stock them. This was very surprising but I took her word for it and went online.
It is hardly surprising that some of our bigger established chains are struggling and losing customers when their support is so awful. Go back to having local telephone customer service at the stores and you would do a lot better. If zero stars was an option that is what I would have awarded Halfords Customer Service!

Been in store twice to collect my son’s bike. Bike was for his Birthday, told come in ready. Then told can’t have. My son 5th I have asked kindly to cancel order told I can’t. Strange place. I will buy one online somewhere else and put together myself. Not worth disappointing service or on my little one. Called Head office twice to cancel but the store as to cancel it. Stay away.
waste of time
I booked my car for M O T and service, very good price I was given a choice of time and I chose 8.30 arrived 8.10 and was told I was booked in for 13.30, I showed him a copy of my booking, he said he would try and fit it in earlier can I go back at 12, which I did only to be told they were busy can I leave the car it might be done today. I asked for a refund and drove away.
Lack of competence in dealings
Trade customer - booked and paid windscreen chip repair, travelled to store, left car, half an hour later I get a call to confirm they don't have any resin to repair it. Asked manager to call me, no response. Several weeks ago I ordered products online, picked up and got home only to realise they had provided incorrect products. Sadly, just a lack of competence from staff. Had they told me they had no resin left, they could haverejected my booking and I could have visited another store to have the repair carried out, to avoid having to drive across the country with a chipped windscreen now at risk of cracking.

I had an MOT done at national tyres in Stockport through Halfords. My MOT failed and one of the things it failed on was the exhaust lambda reading was outside the limit and advised they need to replace the exhaust and quoted me £683. Luckily my brother in-law is a technician at Audi and had a look so he can order the parts and fix it and the exhaust didn’t need replacing. It just needed new seals. He spoke to Halfords autocentre and all they could say was it was company policy….to what rip people off! Dodge this place unless you want to pay for things that don’t need replacing!

I received excellent service
I received excellent service in Halfords today. I was there for a winter check. Ben,the service manager was so helpful.I am a pensioner and widowed so don’t know much about cars! Nothing was too much trouble , he even gave me a card with his work phone number and said if there was anything I needed advice on to phone.
Halfords - useless
Halfords - Dartford do not trust these so called experts with your car or bike had a tyre replaced and damaged the alloy wheel. Purchased a mountain bike for step son’s birthday and second time of riding it the back wheel falls off and hurts himself. Took it back to dartford store where it was built and to be met with a smug cocky arrogant person who actually accused us of making the wheel loose on purpose, like yea I’m going to loosen this wheel and let him ride it.
I was absolutely appalled and find it utterly disgusting how a member of staff would accuse us of doing it on purpose and trying to pass the blame. Whilst his fixing the back wheel he checks on the front wheel and surprise surprise guess what the front wheel is loose as well. Seriously what kind of untrained incompetent staff work at this place not a gcse between them. Avoid this place

Used Halfords last November for All Weather Tyres, they fitted summer tyres. Had no reason to think I had the wrong ones until my mechanic took the car for its MOT. Went to customer service who have said tyres I have are what was ordered and due to time lapse washing there hands of it. Absolutely disgusting, who puts summer tyres on in November?! My receipt has the brand of tyre no where does it say summer tyres. This is just the start Halfords, I am not stopping here until you agree to exchanging the tyres for the correct ones! Best you reply to me now!

MOT failed so I had the work done else where as they couldn’t do it straight away took the car back for a re test that takes 5 mins. And was told there policy was to leave the car all day again and wait. By a very ignorant two members of staff. I don’t think I would ever go back to them again.
