Horrible company
Horrible company. Instead of explaining policies that better fits you. Years paying for term life insurance. Previous agent I spoke to was very helpful saying why they didn’t offer you whole life. Can’t convert to whole life with money I’ve already put into the term life. Will take my business elsewhere. It’s all about money with this company

I am filing a complaint regarding the poor customer service and lack of response from Globe Life.
On April 2, 2026, I contacted Globe Life in writing to request specific information regarding the cash surrender value of my life insurance policy and the potential tax consequences of surrendering it. Before making any financial decision, I requested the following information:
• My cost basis or total premiums paid into the policy
• The taxable amount if I surrender the policy
• The tax implications of a full surrender
• A detailed breakdown of the cash surrender value
I made it clear that I was not authorizing surrender of the policy. I was only requesting information so that I could make an informed decision.
Despite my written request, Globe Life failed to provide the information I requested. Instead, I received a generic response that did not answer my questions. I then followed up again, but as of today I still have not received the specific information requested.
In addition, I have experienced difficulty reaching anyone who is knowledgeable and able to assist me. I believe Globe Life has failed to provide reasonable customer service and has not fulfilled its obligation to provide policy information to a policyholder upon request.
I am requesting that Globe Life promptly provide:
1. The total amount of premiums I have paid into the policy
2. The cost basis of the policy
3. The current cash surrender value
4. The taxable portion, if any, of the surrender value
5. A written explanation of any tax consequences related to surrendering the policy
I would appreciate the Better Business Bureau’s assistance in obtaining a complete and timely response from Globe Life.

I could not convince them to update my Policy.
I could not convince them to update my Beneficiary information on the Lost Policy Certificate that is used when the main policy is lost. She said that they could not update that information, even though they have access and control of their database. How ridiculous.
In their response to my complaint they gave me a link back to their website but no one to speak with about the issue. I guess we are back to, well we responded but we never heard back from you, type of a situation. Oh well, if you don't want to resolve this customer issue, then don't bother me again. I will continue to pay my $379.00 monthly premiums and hope that in the end my beneficiaries receive the benefits without a hassle.

Customer service was a big help
Customer service was a big help. I had trouble getting into my account, since the website had changed and I needed to set up my account. She helped me on how to format the account numbers, and how to add one account that was charging monthly and walked me thru on how to change it to annual payment. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Appreciated it very much.

Rethink this company??
Trying to surrender a policy and have had 3 conversations on the phone with different customer service representatives. They were very nice but I gave them all the same information and still told I needed to send a "letter of surrender". When they answer the phone they say its being recorded so why can't they see the information from previous conversations? Seems this process shouldn't be so complicated. Is my information safe???

I had 4 policys with Globe Ins. for my grandchildren and have had them for 20 yrs. I just stopped paying on them. Six months past and they sent me a bill showing where it was a loan for my policies and they had taken the money out plus interest of the money that you can cash your policys in, if they are old enough. So I cancel my policys and cashed them in.

A terrible customer service
A terrible customer service agent. This girl kept bugging me about keeping an account that I already decided to close before I placed the call. After wasting more than 30 minutes on the phone with her she pretentiously told me that she had closed the account. After 24 hours the account is still saying "Active, next payment in 20 days". Can you imagine that.
