They promise they process claims within 3 weeks and nothing has been done except for asking for documentation I’ve already sent. At this point, I’m expecting they’ll deny everything.

Even if they pay, I won’t trust them. If my cat didn’t have a pre-existing condition (from after I started the policy), I’d cancel and get insurance elsewhere.

Over a month for processing. After submitting BBB complaint, they processed yet am still waiting for payment to hit my financial institution 6 days later

Like other reviewers here - I was a loyal ManyPets customer & was transferred to Odie this summer. They are great at taking your money - but THE ABSOLUTE WORST at responding back to inquiries & they REFUSE to pay anything! With ManyPets - they never questioned what the claim was if it was a prescribed medication or a vet visit. After arguing via email (not - NO VOICE customer service), I got, "we need your pet's vet history"..... I sent everything I had. My pet is a rescue, so I didn't have records from when she was a pup... "we need more information"... and when I told them I didn't have it nor could I obtain it, they came back & said, "read your policy - see the exclusions"... and when I read it, they don't even cover vaccinations, medications, or even dental!
This company is a scam & I can't wait to find another!!!!

If I can talk even one person out of using them, that’s a win. Odie is insanely expensive, insanely slow, and denies everything.

Avoid Odie Pet Insurance. Compared to ManyPets, they’re not even in the same league.

Ever since my pet insurance got transferred from manypets to Odie over last year, I naively thought Odie would be comparable to ManyPets. Nope — Odie gives off pure greed and shamelessness in everything they do.

A simple wellness exam claim has been stuck at “Submitted” for a month. But a dental claim I submitted after that — just a few toothbrushes — which used to get instantly approved under ManyPets, was immediately denied by Odie. They said I can only buy from their “approved list,” which is a tiny PDF that says toothbrushes and dental additive water must be purchased from one sketchy website I’ve never heard of. Amazon, Chewy, Petco, None of them has this brand's products. The brand is called HealthyMouth LLC.

That crappy website is ridiculously overpriced and doesn’t even offer online checkout — you have to call them. When I pushed Odie, they insisted this company is “legit” and they’ve bought from them before. I called the company, and their voicemail told me their facility burned down in the LA wildfires and they’re barely recovering. So u cannot order from them either.

Went back to Odie — they still said no. Must buy from the list. And the list is basically all products from that same crappy company which got burnt into the ground. Balls are kicking and claims are denied.

Bravo, Odie.

Bottom line: you pay them a ton of money every year and they still find a way to reimburse you nothing.

I’m beyond disappointed with my experience with Odie Pet Insurance. After switching from ManyPets about a year ago, my monthly premium skyrocketed to nearly $300 for what was advertised as a comprehensive wellness and accident plan. This is significantly more than what I paid with ManyPets, yet the quality of service has declined dramatically. Since moving over, I’ve experienced nothing but poor communication, slow processing, and constant frustration.

Claims take months to process, and when reimbursements finally arrive, they’re a fraction of what was promised under my previous plan. Customer service is either unresponsive or provides vague, repetitive answers that do nothing to resolve issues. There’s no transparency, no accountability, and absolutely no sense of urgency.

For a company that claims to care about pets and their owners, Odie has fallen far short of even basic expectations. This experience has been exhausting and disappointing — I’ve since canceled my policy and strongly advise others to look elsewhere before trusting this company with their pet’s care.

cant go any lower than 1 star this company is nothing but a scam dressed up as pet insurance. redicoulous rates wont cover anything nothing but a fight. they bought my previous insurance company jacked the rates up and refused coverage for surgery without any explanation but " review policy for coverage" yep thats all i got.

I wish there was a way to give zero stars. I was one of the people whose policy transferred from Many Pets Insurance to Odie and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. My dog had liver cancer and was covered under my Many Pets policy, however since moving over to Odie, I submitted 2 claims (one on 9/30 and the other on 10/15) for medications that she has been on since her surgery a year ago. These medications were covered under my previous insurance. I submitted my receipts, along with 18 months of vets records and now they have called my vets office asking for ALL of the records. Why? Many Pets had been paying this claim. They have no issue taking $150+ dollars from my account every month but submitting a claim for $60ish dollars and they are doing everything in their power to make it ineligible, in addition to the fact that they havent even met their own advertised timeline for reimbursement. And the real kicker is that you can't get anyone on the phone. They are so bogged down with denying claims that they send everyone to voicemail and never call them back. Terrible business practices. I cringe at the thought that I might ever need to make a claim for something other than meds.

I was a loyal ManyPets customer for years and was transferred to Odie earlier this year. I stayed with Odie because I trusted the reputation of ManyPets — and that was clearly a mistake.

I submitted a couple of claims months ago and haven’t received a single update. I’ve sent multiple emails, filled out their contact form, and even called several times — every call goes to voicemail, and no one ever calls back.

This is absolutely unacceptable. The lack of communication and accountability from Odie is shocking. It feels like once they have your money, they completely disappear. I’m extremely disappointed and would strongly caution anyone considering switching to or staying with Odie.

This is possibly the worst pet insurance I have had, and the worst part is I didn't choose it. I chose a company called ManyPets which had a higher cost plan with a $250 deductible and then 100% coverage with no limits. After a year that plan went away and I was moved automatically to an 80% plan which is a bait and switch because I would not have gone with them when I could have gotten 90% coverage elsewhere. Then they sell out to Odie and what a nightmare that has been but I am stuck because I have an older dog with preexisting conditions. They regularly take 6+ weeks to review claims and now apparently when I had a plan with no annual limit, I apparently have one. Of course it took them 7 weeks and me constantly following up to find this out. I am stuck but please let this be a warning to others to steer clear.

I was transferred to ODIE insurance from MANY PETS this summer. I did not choose them. I submitted my claims on September 9, 2025, which are ongoing followups with my dogs cardiologist and was covered by MANY PETS. It is now November 4 and I still haven't received payment on these claims... almost three months later. I have notified them twice via email, made sure all my dogs records were submitted and tried to call today to be met by a recording stating that if I have contacted them prior to the phone call that the claims wouldn't be handled any faster and if I left a message it would take up to three days for a response.

I understand they could be overwhelmed by these new policies, but it is their responsibility to get the help they need to take care of these outstanding claims.

Odie should have been more vigilant and prepared to take on new claims from another insurance company.

It's been quite a long and frustrating experience. I had submitted the claim on end of September. After couple of weeks I got an email to send over the medical history of my pet. I did and since then it's been, "We will respond within 7 to 10 business days" and unfortunately several 7 to 10 business days have gone by and NO UPDATES on my claim status! I have emailed them couple of times but the responses are with the same cliched excuses. The last email I had received from them on October 23(after multiple follow up emails), clearly stated that we can expect an update in 7-10 business days, but NOTHING so far!

Odie is the worst insurance I’ve ever had. We had a claim for my dog max on July 31st. He had all his up to date medical records submitted when we signed up. But they kept delaying the claim until oct 3rd when they finally approved it. I’ve been waiting on payment since Oct 3rd and it’s now Oct 29th and every time I ask they say “it’s pending give it 5-7 business days”. I’ve been giving it 5-7 business days since Oct 3rd and they still won’t respond.

Terrible customer service, terrible claims processing times, over all awful experience. Stay away.

Several claims denied after harping on them that they weren’t even in review. Then suddenly after a phone call nearly a dozen claims denied.

Former manypets covered all issues. We have communications with this Odie branding as well indicating nothing will not change. Is there inquiries for a class action lawsuit?

***UPDATE***
After a bit of back and forth, and actually speaking with the CEO via Linked In, they have actually reversed and reimbursed all of my golden’s denied claims. There is some good in this company… you just need to press for it.

Stay away from this company. I was transferred to them after ManyPets closed down. It’s the same underwriter, but now Odie is the administrator. DO NOT USE THEM.

They denied all claims for my golden’s MCT removal and chemo treatment. These people do not understand what “pre-existing” is and MCTs are typically removed and cured. I even have a letter from our Oncologist stating this to them (you know… someone that ACTUALLY knows what she’s talking about.).

They’re terrible at communicating, they’re essentially a bunch of idiots attempting to act like an insurance company, and they have no idea what they’re doing.

So sloooowww with processing claims. It's a joke. Their website says claims will be processed within 15 business days. I'm waiting on three claims right now, two which have been submitted over a month ago. Tried emailing twice, got a response about them being expedited then heard nothing back after I responded. (They have not been expedited by the way) Called twice, leaving a message on one of them. No response. Their customer service is terrible.

This company continues to be the worst company on the face of the planet. I’ve tried cancelling in any which way, emailed, called, tried through customer portal. Also, whenever I call it says to leave a message and someone will contact me in a couple of days. I’m still receiving emails about updating the payment for both of my cats because that was the only way to stop them from charging me since trying to cancel the right way doesn’t work with this company

THIS IS A SCAM!!! Do not use this “insurance” EVER!!
1) they take over a month to possibly pay out
2) it’s incredibly hard to get in touch with them. My phone calls were never returned. Emails take forever to be returned and it’s NOT a continued dialog. If you respond it will take forever for them to respond again.
I was DENIED fully for a wellness visit due to “toenail trim” yet my roommate was approved for a wellness visit INCLUDING nail trim.
This is the worst, most scammy “insurance” ever. I am so disappointed that Many Pets transferred our care to these idiots.

If there was an option for zero stars, that would be the one to pick. Very misleading information about how long it takes to process a claim, keep you in the dark, drag their feet, poor customer service. Submitted my claims and all medical records a month ago, and still have not received any reimbursement. Customer service seems to be trained in deceiving the customers

I was a former ManyPets customer, just like most recent reviews. Odie is not a trustworthy pet insurance company. They have not done nor they are going to do as what they said on the transition email they sent to us transfer customers from ManyPets. They will keep making excuses not to pay the reimbursement or cover your sick pets who never had a so call pre-existing condition before began the policy with ManyPets. I filed the claim on 9/2 and now 10/7 and there is nothing changed in the claim status since the day I submitted it. It has been 5 weeks and it still shows that I submitted the claim, nothing has been review or process after I tagged along a bunch of downloaded medical records (the same day I filed the claim) which showed that my dog was a healthy puppy before I began having pet insurance with ManyPets and I never had any issues with ManyPets until they transfered me to Odie. Odie has no problem charging my credit card, but Odie is having a lot of problems to process the claim and pay the reimbursement. Whoever wants to get insurance for your loving pets, PLEASE DON'T choose to insured with Odie if you dont want to end up like us! Odie makes themselves look like A SCAM, NOT A TRUSTWORTHY COMPANY. THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO COVER YOUR PET WITHOUT INTERRUPTION??? ALL LIES!!!

Trash! Fraud! Do NOT do business with them. They deny most claims for bs reasons. Our cat has been getting colds this year and they are claiming pre existing conditions because we made a comment to the vet about labored breathing a year prior. They look for any reason to deny your claims. We were covered by ManyPets before and they approved the same claims they are denying. They said they would continue coverage since we got defaulted to their company when they went out of business. After being denied a thousand dollars in claims, we are switching. Good riddance!
