The Full Coverage type of product purchased through a booking platform is a reimbursement-based protection rather than the supplier's mandatory insurance, which is often the source of the "you need to claim that back" instruction at the desk. But the exact breakdown of what each amount covered, and whether the €55 should be refundable, can only be confirmed by pulling the actual case file.
To get this investigated properly — both your individual case and the supplier's conduct at the Olbia desk — please file a claim through our official support channel on the website. Abbiamo prenotato un'auto, la specifica che servisse una carta di credito con nominativo del conducente principale non era chiaramente espressa durante le operazioni di prenotazione ma solo alla conferma. Alla richiesta di modificare conducente principale o altre soluzioni ci è stato detto che non era possibile fare nulla (nemmeno cambiare conducente principale a 12 ore dal noleggio). Non useremo mai più questo servizio e consiglieremo ad altri di non farne uso.

The card requirement is usually set by the supplier and tied to the name on the reservation, and lead-driver changes that close to pickup often aren’t something they can accept.
