They had charged me twice in one day

They had charged me twice in one day. Then a few days after that they charged me $410 out of my bank account. I can’t get a hold of customer service. Don’t recommend using them.

This app is looking to steal from you

Looking to charge my brand new, first EV, I downloaded the app and tried to charge my SUV. The app immediately dinged the card in my Apple Wallet for $50, then $75, triggering a fraud alert from my credit union and a block on my card. Right before Christmas. Also? The charger didn't work. I hate these people with all my heart.

They don't care about fraud

Similar to other reviews, I experienced a fraudulent charge on my account. The website interface seems designed to make it very hard to prevent this happening. I contacted customer service who assured me a refund would be given, but they have since stopped replying to emails, there has been no refund, and they don't seem to care.

Shocking. Stay well clear of this company if you can!!

Shocking. Turned up at our hotel in Cirencester and needed to charge the car. Downloaded App and charged the car which was easy and straightforward. Charged £14,58, Totally acceptable. However Chargepoint decided to charge me £30 then two lots of £75 an d then I noticed two charges at Heathrow Airport. Reported to Holland who were lovely but still waiting for a refund. Truly dreadful. Stay well clear if you can.

Gefährliche Unprofessionalität

Ich bin seit ca. 2 Jahren angemeldet, habe aber nie geladen. Nun wurden iwann im Laufe des letzten halben Jahres der Fa. Chargepoint Kundendatensätze inkl. Passwort geklaut, ob da auch die Kreditkartendaten dabei waren? Gem. Datenschutz-Gesetzgebung müssen sie die Kunden indformieren, was sie aber nicht getan haben. Jetzt wurde mit meinem Kundenkonto in England fleissig geladen. Habe sofort das Passwort geändert, aber da waren schon über 300 von der Kreditkarte abgebucht.
Bei meinem ersten Anruf bei der Hotline erfuhr ich vom Datendiebstahl und "ich soll meine IBAN per e-mail senden" damit sie das Geld erstatten können.
Es ist wirklich unfassbar, wie hochgradig unprofessionell diese Firma und ihre Service-Mitarbeiter ohne jeden Sinn für Datenschutz agiert und damit Tür und Tor öffnet für Cyber-Betrug.
Meine Reklamation wurde bearbeitet, die mehrfach zugesagten Rückrufe erfolgten nie. Aber der gesamte Schaden wurde letztlich auf die - von meiner Bank bereits gesperrte - Kreditkarte erstattet. Und selbstverständlich habe ich im Anschluß umgehend mein Kundenkonto bei diesem Laden gelöscht.

Highly deceptive and dishonest

Highly deceptive and dishonest - over charged me and has taken a further £10 as “credit” that’s no permanently stuck in my account. I’ve used dozens of chargers from different companies, never had an experience this bad. There is choice out there so AVOID CHARGEPOINT

Bedienen sich an der Kreditkarte ohne tatsächlichen Ladevorgang

Mir wurden auch einfach so 75,00€ vom Girokonto gebucht. Angeblich hätte ich einen 7stündigen Ladevorgang in London gehabt.
Auf meine Nachfrage ob es eventuell Schwachstellen in deren IT-Sicherheit oder einen Hacker-Angriff gegeben haben könnte, bekam ich überhaupt keine Antwort. Ich bin seit 25 Jahren im Internet unterwegs, aber sowas ist mir noch nicht passiert und ich gehe sehr vorsichtig mit meinen Daten um.

Nach ewigem Hin und Her habe ich das Geld erstattet bekommen bzw. meine Bank hat es zurück geholt. Ich kann von der Firma nur abraten!

Big improvement

Problem #4 was solved completely when you provided a keycard. It works easy & fast and I don't even need to use my iphone & your app to start charging! Thank you!

1) Your app won't let us provide generic feedback without a MAC station address. I looked up a local station & your app won't tell us that.

2) Your app & website do not provide an email address for you so I had to call your support & wait on hold so long that I gave up. More google searching found an email address you no longer support.

3) I understand your new policy of putting a hold on our creditcard upfront to make sure you get paid. However, when a store provides a free charging station to its customers it is not necessary to do that with my creditcard. And I want to be assured upfront that I won't be and can't be charged at a free station. I don't want to have to deal with getting charged in error afterwards.

4) It's been very difficult to use your app at a station to get it to start charging, & sometimes you're stuck for a long time in freezing weather trying to get it to work.

Terrible Customer Service - No Help, No Follow-Up

I’ve never dealt with customer service as disappointing as ChargePoint’s. I’ve sent multiple emails, and every time they reply with a reference number, but they never actually respond or follow up. Weeks go by with absolutely no resolution.

I also tried calling their support line, and the experience was just as frustrating. The representative I spoke with was difficult to understand, and when I politely asked for clarification, he became irritated instead of trying to help. Even worse, he didn’t resolve my issue. He just asked me to redo all the same steps I had already done on my own, which accomplished nothing. It was clear he didn’t know how to fix the problem and didn’t seem to care about trying.

Overall, ChargePoint’s customer service is awful. I genuinely hope no one has to depend on them in a situation where support actually matters, because you won’t get it.

Update: I cannot find any way to provide my account email privately through Trustpilot, as the company did not open an information request. Still waiting for support.

ERROUNOUS Charges

Horrible customer service they will virtually say anything to get away with overcharging. YOU ARE NOT AT fault. They want to claim the tempo hold is necessary but there is nothing temporary about 50 dollars out of your account if their machine is broken.

ARNAQUE

J’utilisais ce service et application à l’occasion mais là mon compte a été piraté et ils ne veulent pas rembourser : un prélèvement PayPal a eu lieu mais ils me demandent de remettre mes coordonnées bancaires (que j’ai retiré quand j’ai vu l’arnaque) sauf qu’ils envoient en même temps une demande de paiement automatique de 30€ pour abonnement ?
Ce site est une arnaque aujourd’hui / le SAV déplorable

This service is horrible

This service is horrible - Chargers fail and they will still charge you for the idle time. Also they have recently added a $75 hold for charging without an account. Which hold sometime gets processed wrongly. I already dislike this service but with the recent data leaks, I’m never charging with charge point again.

Just awful service !

Just awful service !! Money had been fraudulently taken out of my account and the customer service team based in Bulgaria !! Just don't seem to be bothered ! They've not respond to emails and just say we are dealing with it !! I'd advice anybody who has used charge point to delete your account or change your passwords

Même une étoile c'est déjà trop

Même une étoile c'est déjà trop, je lis des avis d'autres personnes et je suis choquée. C'est exactement la même chose ce qui s'est passé pour moi . Des prélèvements frauduleux qui apparaissent sur mon compte, 3 en tout pour un montant de 220 e au total, pour des recharges effectuer en Angleterre. C'est inadmissible. Plus jamais avec ChargePoint

Prudence....des recharges frauduleuses sont possibles

3 recharges frauduleuses simultanés ont été effectués a Londres et ses environs avec cette carte Charge Point...pour un montant de 180 Euros alors que je n'y ai jamais mis les pieds..
l'ouverture d'un numéro d'incident auprès de leurs services a permis la récupération des sommes prélevées...Ouff.
il semble toutefois..que certains n'aient pas eu cette chance
La prudence reste de mise..

Charged 3 times from different…

Charged 3 times from different locations in 2 days when my car was at home!. Raised this as a fraud transaction with chargepoint but nothing has happened! Been more than 10 days!!
Extremely poor customer service.
waiting for my bank to refund the money. Please don't use charge point

Leider habe ich keine guten Erfahrungen…

Leider habe ich keine guten Erfahrungen gemacht. Nach dem registrieren einer neuen Kreditkarte, war ein Laden leider nicht mehr möglich. Paypal als Zahlungsmittel wurde erst garnicht angezeigt obwohl es eigentlich verfügbar sein sollte. Jeglicher Kontakt führte zu keiner Lösung. Daraufhin habe ich mein Konto gelöscht und wollte es mit einer neuen Registrierung versuchen. Leider nicht möglich weil E-Mail und Telefonnummer bereits für ein anderes Konto genutzt werden. Sehr schade, da mein Arbeitgeber ChargePoint Ladestationen anbietet.

Zéro étoile

Zéro étoile. Même pas encore utilisé le service chargepoint et compte déjà piraté.
Prélèvement de 75€ sur mon compte pour une recharge de 72,49€ à Chatham en Angleterre .
Je vis en France et n'ai pas mis les pieds en Angleterre.
Après multiples appels, réussi à ouvrir un dossier 15300140 mais toujours rien zéro remboursement le service financier doit s'en occuper.
Pour ce qui liront l'avis CHAGEPOINT est à bannir.
