1,12€ pro Kw/h (wenn man die Blockiergebühr dazu rechnet kommt man auf diesen Abzocker Betrag).
Ich musste noch nie eine Blockiergebühr bezahlen, wenn der Ladevorgang noch nicht abgeschlossen ist. Der eigentliche Preis von 0,89€ ist schon frech, hatte ich aber an Hand der Bewertungen gewusst. Aber die Überraschung kam am Monats Ende mit der Rechnung. So teuer habe ich noch nie geladen! Sollen die mal selber in so eine Kostenfalle tappen, dass wünsche ich jedem Verantwortlichen bei diesem Verein.

My car did not charge- I was charged $50 and I could not get the charger out of the port. It pu a terrible strain on our whole next few days

Terrible charging experience at ChargePoint stations

Terrible charging experience at ChargePoint stations in northern San Jose, CA. ChargePoint will assign you a station to charge - and when you get to the station assigned by the ChargePoint app, very often you would not be able to charge - sometimes you would find the station broken, sometimes the station would say the it is already in use. Sad to see ChargePoint has gone so bad in reliability.

Avoid, avoid, avoid...

Worst car chargers I've ever used (and there have been some stinkers) - contactless broken. App initially didn't work then overcharged me, triggering a fraud alert from my bank. Unsurprising to see a bank of 16 chargers (in a busy car park) completely empty - just a waste of space. Avoid this company at all costs.

They charge you for nothing

Got my first EV and didn't realize chargepoint fast charging stations are not compatible with my car without an adapter. I couldn't even plug it onto my car and I cancelled the transaction but they still charged me 50$ and now the next day they still have not returned the money that should not have been taken in the first place.
1 star because 0 is not an option!

Fraude - A fuir

Ne créez surtout pas de compte chez eux. J'ai été victime d'une fraude fin novembre (un gros prélèvement venant du Royaume Uni). Malgré mes nombreux appels au service client, je n'ai toujours aucun remboursement. On me dit toujours que mon remboursement va être effectué et qu'on me passe (soi disant) en priorité. Evidemment cela est mensonger, nous sommes le 7 janvier et toujours pas de remboursements.
Quand je vois les commentaires précédents, cela me laisse penser que la société Chargepoint, également située au Royaume-Uni, crée de fausses recharges avec des montants élevés pour arnaquer certains utilisateurs.
J'ai pu au moins clôturé mon compte chez eux donc je n'ai plus de risque d'être arnaquée à nouveau.

Guthaben wird seit Wochen nicht ausgezahlt.
Mittlerweile antwortet man nicht mal mehr auf Mahnungen und Zahlungsaufforderungen.
Absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

I wish they weren't my only option

I'll start with the positive. The carger was in good shape and easy to use compared to other places. The negative, they charge new users $50 upfront. I got a double charge and my husband got a triple charge. That being said our bank is overdrawn for apparently the next 3-7 business days. I tried calling customer support to at least get the multiple charges taken off and they were no help at all and said it was up to the bank. No it's up to them to not charge multiple times for one use. Not to mention that $50 for what might turn out to be a $12 charge is unnecessary. It's disheartening to see multiple reviews saying the same thing, so I know this company is aware they suck. Anyway if you have any other option, choose it.

I love to charge at Chargepoint

I find that all the bad reviews have the same horrible grammars. Ngl I think they are bots. I've only had great experiences with Chargepoint. Then again...I have never had to contact them, so idk about their customer service. Their stations simply just works. I also love their app and ease of use.

Encore des fraudes à la recharge à Londres,…

Comme de nombreuses utilisateurs français, j’ai été victime de plusieurs fraudes concernant des recharges effectuées au Royaume-Uni, du côté de Londres
Le service client me répond prendre en charge ma demande de remboursement, mais cela fait près d’un mois que je reste Toujours en attente de ce dernier
Je conseille donc d’éviter cette application de recharge

Très mauvaise expérience avec…

Très mauvaise expérience avec ChargePoint.
Mon compte a été utilisé en Angleterre alors que je vis dans le Var, pour un montant de 410 € que je n’ai jamais autorisé.
Malgré mes démarches et mes signalements, j’attends toujours le remboursement, un mois plus tard.
Le service client est lent, peu réactif et inefficace face à une situation pourtant grave.
Cette utilisation frauduleuse et l’absence de résolution rapide montrent un manque de sérieux et de sécurité.
Je suis extrêmement déçu et ne recommande absolument pas cette entreprise.

Completely Unacceptable Service

They installed my charging station on 1 July 2025, and it still doesn’t work. Almost six months later, the lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for my time is shocking. This is completely unacceptable customer service. I would definitely not recommend anyone to deal with them

Chargepoint ist nicht embpfehlenswert. Hier kann das laden schnell zur Kostenfalle werden. Einfach nur wucher. Für Knapp über 6 kWh habe ich über 19 Euro zahlen müssen. So wird das nichts mit der E-Mobilität. Also, Finger weg von Chargepoint.

ChargePoint customer service is ass

ChargePoint customer service is, without exaggeration, one of the most frustrating support experiences I’ve dealt with from a major technology company.
The core issue is not a single bad interaction—it’s a pattern. Long wait times, unhelpful responses, and a clear lack of ownership define every attempt to get assistance. Contacting support feels less like reaching a help desk and more like entering a maze designed to wear you down until you give up.
Phone support is marketed as 24/7, yet reaching a knowledgeable human being is hit-or-miss at best. When you do get through, representatives often lack the authority, technical understanding, or urgency needed to resolve real problems. Issues are routinely escalated into a black hole, with no follow-up, no accountability, and no timeline. You’re left repeating the same information to multiple people, none of whom appear to communicate internally.
The app and charging network problems only amplify this failure. When chargers malfunction or sessions fail, support is slow to respond and even slower to fix the underlying issue. For a company that positions itself as a backbone of EV infrastructure, this level of operational indifference is unacceptable. Reliability matters, and ChargePoint consistently falls short when it matters most.
What’s most disappointing is the attitude. Interactions feel transactional and dismissive, as if customer inconvenience is expected and tolerated rather than treated as a problem to be solved. There is little sense that ChargePoint values the time, money, or trust of its users.
This isn’t a startup struggling to scale—it’s a well-established company operating critical infrastructure. At that level, “sorry for the inconvenience” without real action is not customer service; it’s noise.
Until ChargePoint makes serious improvements in training, responsiveness, and accountability, their customer service will remain a liability rather than a support system. EV drivers deserve better than scripted apologies and unresolved tickets.

Their customer service was an automated AI . Of no help.
Just look at all these one star reviews!
In response to the post here claiming these bad reviews are bots, ( due to bad gammar!!?), believe me, they are not!
overly complex, convoluted. Their, recorded, voice told me it would take 48 hours for the payment card to activate! No good for a first time user. No thanks.

Someone has user my bank to charge and I got charged. after I got in touch with customer service they were saying we will provide a refund. it has been over 3 months now and I am still waiting and no reply on emails either. very very poor and I would not trust this company
