I strongly advise against using…

I strongly advise against using ChargePoint. My account was hacked, and the subsequent experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.
Key issues to consider:
• Lacking Basic Security: Despite widespread reports of account breaches, ChargePoint still does not offer Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). This is a gross negligence for any platform handling financial information.
• Payment Method Lock-in: Once a cloud account is compromised, the app does not allow you to delete your payment methods. I was only able to prevent unauthorized charges because I used PayPal, which allowed me to block the automatic payments from my own banking interface.
• Incompetent Support: It has been 4 months since I opened a ticket. Despite numerous phone calls and constant email follow-ups, my issue remains unresolved and I have yet to be reimbursed.
The combination of outdated security measures and a complete lack of accountability from their service team makes this a high-risk platform. Save yourself the trouble and stay away.

a fuir système inefficace

gros probleme de connection et de deconnection... une demie heure ! pas de charge! problème de controle du compte mais prelevement 2x50 euros suite a deux tentatives infructueuses... charge impossible en attente depuis deux jours de l'annulation des prélévements. deux mails envoyés reponses pas fiable!

Bucht sich immer gleich ein kleines Guthaben mit ab

Chargepoint bucht beim ersten Ladevorgang grundsätzlich die Kosten des Ladevorgangs plus 10 € ab. Diese 10 € sind als Guthaben für die nächsten Ladevorgänge vorgesehen. Für jemanden, der sehr regelmäßig bei ChargePoint lädt, mag das o.k. sein, in anbetracht der wenigen Ladesäulen von ChargePoint dürfte das jedoch nur auf wenige Leute zutreffen.
Das Konzept halte ich daher für unseriös und ich wüsste auch nicht, dass ein anderer Anbieter das auch macht. Die ChargePoint-Karte bei anderen Ladesäulen einzusetzten ist nicht sinnvoll, da es immer teuerer ist, nicht direkt beim Anbieter zu bezahlen. Ist ja auch kein Problem heutzutage, habe ich halt die Apps von den 5 größten Anbietern aufm Smartphone.
Zwei Sterne, weil ich heute immerhin vom Support die Zusage bekommen habe, dass ich das Guthaben zurückgebucht bekommen. Aber, wenn ich nochmal bei Chargepoint lade, dann geht das ganze wieder von vorne los. Also bleibt mein Konto dort nur für den Notfall aktiviert...

Une véritable arnaque

Un premier prélèvement de 1€ à la création du compte.
Puis 41€ pour 11kw, sachant que l'application m'indiquait qu'aucune charge n'était en cours et que je pouvais donc pas l'annuler.
Au final un prélèvement de 51€ au lieu de 41€...
Voleurs!

Avoid their products and stations, no customer service.

Terrible customer service. I have tried the online customer support form and haven't recieved a response in 6 months. I contacted their support email and have been waiting for 5 months, and then tried their twitter account and I got an initial response asking for more information and then have been ghosted for 4 months. Never seen customer service like this. Would highly recommend avoiding their products and stations as if anything goes wrong there is no one to contact!

I received a fraudulent charge on my…

I received a fraudulent charge on my charge point app for $451 even thought I left the entire city before 8 hours. This is insane. One of the worst charge point I ever seen. I called up customer support and got refund with the statement that it’s a “one time courtesy” that they are doing a favor. Stealing my money is not a favor that I am getting . How can a car be in two stations at the same time. I got charge for two stations. There is a bug in the station. I never got frustrated in my life for anything. I am going to escalate this case everywhere and all the portals I ever know. I HATE CHARGE POINT. I am gonna report to the authorities as well. The customer support is hell. They don’t even know how to apologies for their mistakes.

Des voleurs

On recharge frauduleusement avec mon compte, après avoir réussi à contacter quelqu'un chez eux on me dit que l'on va me rembourser les 70€. Depuis que j'ai communiqué mes coordonnées pour le remboursement comme par hasard plus aucune nouvelle de leur part et impossible de les contacter maintenant. A fuir absolument !

Greed kills

They just incorporated a 25 cent fee to their charging station, on top of charging you to charge their car, on top of the new EV tax most states are incorporating on EVs, on top of the availability issue with charging stations. This is ridiculous. I love my car but this BS infrastructure makes me want to get rid of it. How ridiculous. I am never buying an EV again, it costs MORE as a consumer to own an EV which is insane because this whole thing was advertised as being "affordable". I am now AVOIDING chargepoint chargers unless they are FREE. Thanks for nothing.

Fraudulent charging sessions

In early December, I suddenly saw a charging session in London. I live in another country, 463 km from London. I immediately blocked my cards and changed my password. I have now contacted customer service more than 10 times and I am still waiting for this amount to be removed from my account. Until today, nothing has happened.
I also want to close my account, but that’s not possible as long as that balance is still there.
I read about a hacking incident — why wasn’t anyone informed about this so we could take the necessary steps to change our passwords?
They simply don’t respond. Do they even still exist?

Application charge Point à fuire

Application qui prélève plus que ce que vous consommez. Déclarer sa carte bancaire c'est se faire prélever 1€, pour pouvoir se faire rembourser son solde lorsque l'on résilie.
Application à fuire, principe de gestion malhonnête. Répondre sur ce site de communiquer son adresse mail pour analyser ce problème est tout aussi malhonnête car rien ne permet de reprendre contact avec votre société qui n'a toujours pas répondu à mes mails directs.

Ongoing issues with Chargepoint app and stations for years

When it works, it's easy to use. However, so many stations don't work, usually simply won't start charging. Ongoing problem for many years and at stations I've used, or tried to use, all over the US. What makes it worse is how the app is unable to report stations out of order. They consistently show as working when out of order, which means I repeatedly drive to a station that shows as available and working when it's not. Other users at a station I TRY to frequent report same frustration. Finally, even when we report these problems, nothing seems to happen for weeks.... REALLY poor experience. I see why everyone loves Tesla and hates ChargePoint.

Mehrere Tickets im Januar eröffnet, weder E-Mail- noch SMS-Bestätigung dass diese eingegangen sind, auch keinerlei Rückmeldung vom Support. Scheint ein schwarzes Loch im Support zu sein! Eingabe der Mail Adresse ist nicht möglich. Link zum Antworten wäre hier sinnvoller! Mittlerweile mehrere weitere Tickets geöffnet und lediglich 1mal Eingangsbestätigung erhalten keine Meldung über weiteres Vorgehen etc.

Fraude sur mon compte

Le 18/11/2025 j'ai constaté une fraude de 670€ prélevés sur mon compte ChargePoint en plusieurs fois en Angleterre près de Londres. J'ai averti ChargePoint dès que je m'en suis apperçu, le jour même. Ils ont ouvert un dossier de fraude et m'ont promis un remboursement. Je les ai appelé à de nombreuses reprises, ils m'ont demandé mon RIB mais toujours aucun remboursement.
Je désespère de récupérer cette somme alors que leurs opérateurs ont reconnu la fraude (conversations enregistrés).
Je suis prêt à revoir mon avis s'ils donnent suite à ma réclamation mais pour l'instant, je suis très très mécontent de leur service.

I understand the first time I used, it pre-auths £50 from my card which is fine. It adds £10 to my account balance, and returns the rest. The issue is that it's the ONLY charging point company that isn't instantly updated to the session value. And the second and third time I used, it keeps taking £50 pre auth despite having money on my account to use. Then it adds another £10 to my account. I'm never going to be able to use my account balance as it keeps topping it up!
Appalling customer service too. Reading from a script, no common sense or understanding that I'm not happy with having a £14 charge , for £4 session and £10 in my account. I'm sat with £15 in my account, which when I charge again, will add another £10!

Find another charging point to use. These people are con artists.

Absoluter Wucher!

Wir haben auf Empfehlung eine Chargepoint-Karte geholt, um in Hamburg günstiger an den HEnW-Säulen zu laden. Der kWh-Preis war mit 0,49 € angegeben. Zudem ein Hinweis auf eine Parkgebühr in Höhe von 0,18 €/min. Wir gingen davon aus, dass es sich dabei um die Blockiergebühr handelt, die HEnW tagsüber bei Ladedauern > 3 Stunden berechnet. Nachts wird diese Gebühr von HEnW nicht erhoben. Da Chargepoint auf die Gebührenabhängig vom originären Anbieter (hier also HEnW) verweist, sind wir von gleichen Bedingungen hinsichtlich der Blockier- bzw. Parkgebühr ausgegangen. Aber weit gefehlt! Wir haben nachts 40 kWh geladen und dafür fast 60 € bezahlt, wobei über 40 € für knapp 4 Stunden "Parken" zu Buche schlugen. Das ist selbst für allgemeine Hamburger Parkgebühren ein Wucherpreis! Da wir selbstverständlich von einem Versehen ausgingen, rief ich die Hotline an. Frankfurter Nummer. Aber Deutsch konnte die nette Dame nicht. Nur Holländisch und Englisch. Sie verwies auf die AGB und darauf, dass HEnW die Preise vorgibt und ich mich an HEnW wenden müsse. Das ist natürlich Quatsch, denn ich habe ja einen Vertrag mit Chargepoint und nicht mit HEnW. Nur davon, dass die irgendwas in ihre AGBs schreiben wird es ja nicht wahr. Nach dem Telefonat bekam ich eine E-Mail mit einer Fallnummer ( 15293386). Seitdem tut sich trotz Erinnerungs-E-Mails nichts mehr.
Übrigens: Die Freundin, die mir Chargepoint empfahl hat monatelang an derselben Säule für 0,49 € geladen. Im November wurden ihr auch plötzlich "Parkgebühren" i. H. v. 0,18 € pro Minute (!) berechnet. Chargepoint muss im November den Umsatz verzigfacht haben... Inzwischen werden für unsere Säule keine Parkgebühren mehr ausgewiesen. Aber das Geld haben wir trotz mehrfacher Aufforderung nicht zurück.
