We have driven other brands of motorhomes that had more practical layouts and were comfortable to drive. DRIVING: This RV's headlights were extremely dim, for a brand new vehicle. The driver's seat was not adjustable, for height or recline which made the drive uncomfortable. The engine strained significantly on uphills, as though the RV was too heavy for the chassis. A stronger engine and xenon lights are definitely a recommendation, as well as adjustable seats. A space allowance is necessary between the dinette and the cabin.
LAYOUT: This RV was spacious and had comfortable beds for 6 people. The over-cab bunk was very large, and the kids loved it. The TV wasn't secured and sometimes came out from the wall when driving.
The cupboards were high and had no shelves. Items could not be arranged practically and slid all around during driving.
The hanging closet must be bigger for 6 people - we could only squish in 4 coats; and there was a shelf in the middle??!!
Beside the sink & in the bathroom, there were no hooks, shelves, or towel bars . We had to balance a pile of clean clothes and a towel on the lid of the biffy! The mirror over the sink was placed very high, so the kids couldn't see themselves.
The back bed was unnecessarily large - the width of the camper! All the cupboards were above it, (very impractical) so everyone had to climb on the bed to reach their clothes. This meant a lot of dirty feet on the bed. If there were 2 isles down the sides of the bed, it would be more useful. We could also have had drawers and hanging wardrobes on the sides.
CONCLUSION: A practical & useful revision for the interior layout. Engine strength, captain comfort, and headlight strength should be revised.

It is unacceptable to have to check in scheme in place. You demand maximum flexibility from customers still they have to wait for pick ups. Further it is impossible to pick up a camper late afternoon and still drive somewhere nice outside the city. The same for drop off. If you need to drop off your camper at 09:00am there is no other choice than to sleep in Vancouver. In total that takes away 2 nights of your entire trip!

Bei der Rückgabe wollte man uns einen Schaden am Auto anlasten der keiner war. Es war nur eine verschmutzte Stelle, obwohl wir das super „Platin Paket“ gebucht hatten für über 200€. Wir sollten es über die Versicherung regeln. Blos was? Es war nichts, Wir haben dann in 2 Minuten die Verschmutzung selbst beseitigt. Die Mitarbeiterin am Tresen hat uns auch „auflaufen lassen“. Obwohl sie deutsch sprechen konnte, hat sie und die ganze zeit auf Englisch versucht mürbe zu machen. Nicht gerade kundenorientiert.
Ich kann Canadream in Vancouver nicht weiter empfehlen.

Very organised company. Went through everything, everything went to plan.

Collection was swift and organised, RV was well equipped and clean. No issues and return was very easy also, staff were helpful and kind. We will be back!

Friendly and helpful staff, good vehicle

My family and I had a great time on the road trip that we had in the RV that we rented. It was easy to drive and operate and it was new and clean. The service was quick and convenient. It was very expensive although it was slightly less expensive then the 2 other quotes that I received from other competitor RV rental business. I would recommend Canadream and I would rent here again.

I hired a saver 4 for a week with just 2 people. We took up the extra coffee machine, toaster, camp chairs, cutlery. Overall the RV was in good condition and clean. I feel CanaDream has gotten to big and forgotten the client/ end user. The toast cost us 10 to hire for a week. We end up buying a toaster, chairs and more cutlery as what was supplied was garbage at best. We also paid to pick up the units early which even though we arrived when we paid for it took nearly 2 hours to pick up the unit. The lady of the front desk was ebrupt and not interested in us at all. I would assume that if you hired from x time (11 am) you would need to return just before 11.00 am. No that is not the case we needed to book a time to drop of and even though we booked months before the only time was 8.30 - 9.00 in the morning which basically means you need to camp out the front. We asked for a later time as we had not received a early pick up and was told $150 per hour if wanted later which is crazy. Any way the veiw out the window during the trip was amazing and i doubt this will make any difference

Great attention, before, during the previous booking and during the delivery of the RV.

Rented the X-lrg Class C. Nice and big inside but lacked indoor power outlets (there were none in the bedroom). This needs to be specified on the specs of the camper online. Also, much less outside storage than the smaller unit.
Other annoyance is that we paid an extra fee to pick the camper up for 10am. We arrived on time and waited 30 minutes to be registered. This is not fair to the customer. We also didn't use all the KM we purchased. There should be some reimbursement back to the client, or atleast a gift card that can be used on your next booking.
The other annoyance is the return times. It's impossible to get back in time for the early morning return times, especially if you have a very long drive home. We think it's crappy that we have to pay "another" for later returns.
Finally, Canadream nickel & dimes you for EVERYTHING. When it was all said and done, our rental cost was close to $5000...and all we added on inside the camper was the linen sets..which only gave us a couple of towels and the bed set.
This is the 2nd year we've rented from Canadream and will be looking at alternatives for next year and subsequent years.
There needs to be a level included with the leveling blocks.
Lastly...no use of the awning is completely ridiculous considering the money we spend on your rental. We are very experienced RV'ers and very responsible. Your competitors allow use of the awnings. This is another reason we will be considering alternative rental companies.
The only good thing I can really say is the service from your phone reps has always been very good.

Hiring a motorhome is a good way to tour the rural parts of Canada. Our 2nd time with Canadream.
We chose Canadream for there good communication, customer care, and responsiveness. Also choice of vehicles.

The website is not user friendly to obtain all the information before deciding on the package you want and committing your money. However, ask the questions, and the staff will help.

It is an expensive holiday, and more so if you stay at full facility campgrounds. We mostly stayed at small rural provincial park ones, often by lakes and rivers. These only have a pit toilet often enough, so need to use limited resources of a camper. So careful planning needed on vehicle resources.

The leisure batteries for a truck camper, like we had, are too small, and the configuration from the truck vehicle battery too long. So need to be careful and sparing. Ours was old, and died early on in our trip. (Should have been checked before we took it). However Canadream were very efficient about dealing with this, and found a garage on our route to replace the battery. We had a couple more problems, which were dealt with efficiently and courteously.

Overall would recommend. We have had motorhomes of our own in the past, so fairly familiar. Take time to familiarise yourself with it all.

Although the booked RV was brand new (< 10k km), we were not satisfied about the quality of the RV. First it was not as clean as we expected, e.g. fridge was dirty, coffee spots on cubbords, sticker glue on table, hair in shower, sand/dirt in storage. Some things we only noticed after we took the RV to our first stop.
The RV itselve was rather a "cheap" version, e.g. outer storage was dirty/had moisture inside after dirt road (construction) and rainy weather, black tank was to small (full after 3x short shower) and hard to empty (still left volume inside according to the gauges).
We did a 5 week trip with a 29.11ft RV (Saver 6)

Das Positive vorweg: unser Campervan Deluxe fuhr während unser dreimonatigen Reise und rund 14'000km bestens.

Nach und nach entdeckten wir aber unterwegs einige Mängel. So funktionierte die Innenraum-Batterie mehr schlecht als recht (hielt eine Nacht ohne Stromanschluss durch, ein zweite wohl eher nicht), die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht, beim Dachfenster war ein Teil des Mechanismus abgebrochen, die Schiebetüre war defekt und liess sich nur mit viel Lärm schliessen sowie einige Mängel mehr. Alles Mängel, welche bei einer guten Bereitstellung entdeckt und behoben worden wären.
Bei der Camperabgabe wurde uns gesagt, dass CanaDream über ein grosses Servicenetz verfüge und wir die Mängel unterwegs hätten beheben lassen können. Wird da der Service des Campers auf den Kunden abgeschoben?

First RV was defective. Got a „double checked“ replacement vehicle but this one had problems with the water pump and needed a mobile technician. Spent more than a day on phone and mail instead of enyoing our holidays.
