Had a recent sale and move using the Slough branch of Simmonds and son and have to say they were a great asset making the whole experience run like clockwork. All the stress I was building up was quickly erased by the team with a special thank you to Sarah / Amy and Chloe making everything run smoothly. I would highly recommend them.

Simmons and son have handled my flat for over 2 years. Firstly being rented out, which came with its challenges. Thank you so much to Leigh and Gina for all your help and reassurance. As a new landlord it was territory I did not understand and they helped with this process.

Excellent Experience with Simmons & Son – Highly Recommended

I had been trying to sell my house in Slough since 2023, working with two different estate agents, but unfortunately, neither experience was positive. The lack of professionalism and poor communication left me feeling frustrated and ready to give up.

We were very pleased with the service received from Simmons & Son estate agents throughout the process of selling our house.

Amy West, the Sales Manager went the extra mile and was always approachable and keen to patiently help with our queries. Mention must also be made of Aneta and Chloe who ably assisted Amy throughout.

We would recommend Simmons & Son estate agents to any prospective customer looking for estate agents to sell their property.

I’m not sure what it’s like buying from B Simmons and Son Slough but if you’re looking to rent I’d advise you to steer away at all costs.

We moved into a property and was aware of a few areas needed repairs (plaster in ceiling falling down. Bathroom needs tiling, garden need fence panels carpets need cleaning.)

The day we moved in we found a crack in the bath that was hidden with silicon causing leaks. We have told the renting team everyday for almost 2 weeks now and a family of 5 are still left with no bath, shower or means of washing.

Meanwhile as the ceiling crumbles away more and more each day I’m now being blamed for it happening.

Moving into this property has been hell. Save yourself the experience and go somewhere else when renting.

Update – July 2025:

Since posting this review, things have only worsened. After six weeks without a working bath, we finally had one installed — which then broke again due to poor workmanship arranged by the landlord. We’ve now dealt with rats in the loft, maggots falling from the ceiling, plaster collapsing, and a garden so neglected that multiple neighbours have complained.

The letting agent’s only response after months of emails was a dismissive reply, offering no solutions and showing no accountability. We’ve now escalated our case to The Property Ombudsman and Environmental Health.

Even this review was flagged for removal — despite being 100% factual and supported by extensive evidence. That should tell you everything.

Do not rent through this company.
