Vanishing Roof Ladder! Unfortunately the hire of a roof ladder…
Unfortunately the hire of a roof ladder for 2 weeks for urgent work was a disaster. First the wrong ladder was delivered by Redruth depot, too short, not the 5.6 meter ladder I ordered.
I phoned the office and the gentleman promised the right ladder would be delivered next day and agreed to allow me 3 days extra hire because of the delay.
The right ladder came but that was Friday and weekend coming up so work didn’t start. Monday was very heavy rain and next 2 days storm.
On Thursday work was to begin but I received a nasty shock to see the ladder had disappeared from my front garden! I spent all morning searching around Penzance looking for a stolen roof ladder, raised a hue and cry and had neighbour’s looking too.
I was about to phone the police when a kind builder came and told me his colleague had seen a Brandon’s man walk down the road with the ladder!
It had been collected over a week early and had been unused.
I phoned Brandon’s again and asked for a full refund which they agreed to immediately and then bought a ladder because I didn’t feel I could trust to hiring.
The Brandon’s main office were very reasonable and obliging, the problems came from the supply at Redruth.

Delivered wrong equopment
Delivered wrong equopment to what i ordered. Specifically ordered hollow tines but solid tinescwas delivered. Sent an email but not responded to.It has set my work back for 6 months.

I was shown how to use the equipment and the carpet cleaner was carried out to my car by a member of staff.

Combination ladder hire
Although the equipment wasn’t at the branch at the time of order, it arrived exactly when predicted to be available when needed, and staff were very helpful in loading and unloading upon return, making the whole process very easy and saving time.

DO NOT ORDER
Machine was blunt, a struggle to chip anything & took hours longer to complete what was needed. Drop off was okay, however pick up was due on Monday between 8-12. It wasn’t until 3pm that I decided to call & found out it wasn’t being picked up due to lack of drivers. I then notified you that you can’t pick it up between 10:30 & 2, to which I got a call at 12:40 saying you were outside to pick it up.
