A Company That Supports Start-Ups
I've recently started a my own business and I'd had nothing but nightmares with suppliers, companies and councils since going solo. Before this I was head of operations for big events companies where I'd contract manage a lot of suppliers, all who'd bend over backwards and ensure we had a great business relationship because I was putting big contracts / orders their way.
But since I've decided to go solo and do a small startup (which personally financial wise is as massive for me as the contracts I used to manage) these companies and account managers have shown their true colours and its been a disgrace and opened up my eyes to the way I'll be conducting my business relationships moving forward, whether this business I started is long term or I end up going back to what I did before.
But all I've had with Better Waste is a positive experience, in particular Sarah Davidson, and felt supported by herself and the team and not felt outcasted by being a small startup. It has meant a lot as I've had to make a lot of changes due to needs of the business being sadly so quiet and its never been a problem.
In this climate post-covid, during cost of living crisis its such a real shame to see the lack of support for small businesses in these challenging times and its not a surprise to see so many businesses closing, so it's a relief to work with a company with integrity.

A friendly and professional company offering an excellent service.
The set up of our account was straightforward, with the staff presenting a relaxed and knowledgeable service.
The rubbish bags arrived on time and the waste was collected on schedule. Would recommend.

It was a straight foward easy process from start to finish our advisor Sarah Davidson was amazing and helpful and answered any questions we had in regards to the product or the services they provide.

It's a lottery when bin will be removed
I'm retiring from catering so my commercial bin needed collecting and taking away. I was told it would be Tuesday 23rd as that was the only day the supplier was in my area. Well it's now Friday 26th and the supplier keeps running out of legal driving time according to Better Waste yet nobody bothers to update me. We ran the business from a residential address so our cars are parked on the road instead of our drive as we wait for these jokers to turn up. Communication between the bin supplier and Better Waste is terrible. It's now Friday and after speaking with Better Waste on Thursday they've no idea when the bin will be collected as their supplier keeps telling them dates and not fulfilling the task. They reckon on Saturday but with a Bank Holiday looming I very much doubt it. A smelly bin on my drive that should have been collected days ago. An absolute joke, avoid Better Waste because they're just not up to the task.

We appreciate how frustrated you are right now; unfortunately, we were not notified by the supplier that there had been any issues with the removal of the bin. However, our suppliers must adhere to the strict laws in place for their drivers’ legal driving hours. Their routes are planned very carefully, but factors can affect this route and cause the driver to be delayed. I can see we have chased this, and as we discussed on Tuesday, the bin was removed on Saturday as advised, your experience has been escalated to be looked into as this is not something we expect at all.

Excellent service from Debbi Golding
Initially I had difficulties with my collection service but then Debbi Golding took matters into her own hands. Debbi is a great asset to Better waste. Betterwaste has managed to retain my custom only due to Debbi. She kept constant communication and followed through in making sure bin collections happen as scheduled.
