A job well done Jolliene
Jolliene was absolutely superb. We had our recycling bin nicked and Jolliene was able to contact the suppliers and get a new one out to us. When it arrived, it was a different model to the one we originally had and therefore we had no key for this. Although it took a few weeks to get the key from the supplier, Jolliene was relentless in the pursuit to get us the key as well as following up to ensure that we knew what was going on at every junction.

My experience using take national…
My experience using this national broker is pretty dire. Communication at the start of the contract used to send with the driver. My road has access by sides it’s approximately 500m so not a huge road. Recently there have been roadworks resulting in one end being closed off. The driver decided nt to follow the diversion (which is 2 minutes drive, and the way he would have continued to travel to his next job). The mentality of Better Waste and their 3rd party suppliers isn’t customer focussed, it’s down tools and make no effort to communicate to complete their responsibilities. After this failure the first you know about their lack of work ethic is returning to a full bin. They then have the audacity to charge for the non collection even though they haven’t ventured off route to complete the job. I rang
Better Waste and provided an alternative route (basically follow the diversion sign like most people would do). They managed to follow these instructions and my bin was collected. Better Waste contacted me and assured me everything was now back to normal and the service I was paying for wouldn’t encounter anymore inconvenience.
5 days later when the routine collection was due again Better Waste failed to collect. They had managed days before? The information and communication is shocking. Steer clear of this outfit. Robotic responses and no common sense. Missing the qualities you expect from a service provider: Communication, Reliability, Professionalism, Customer Satisfaction

It is a shame you felt the need to leave this review and we are sorry if our service fell short of your expectations. You have been a customer of ours since October 2021 and not had any issues until the recent road works started.
When there is a road closure and diversion in place, driving a bin lorry (usually a 26 tonne truck) is completely different to driving a car, so following diversion signs “like most people would do” is sadly not always a risk the drivers are able to take without any pre-planning.
We did offer to change your supplier if you were not happy with the actions of this one, however you declined the offer.
We do make every effort to ensure customers’ collections run smoothly, but we are unable to monitor road works and road closures that prevent the driver getting to your site unfortunately.

Great company
The Better Waste Solutions is a great company. I had a wonderful experience with the company; their staff is accommodating and polite, especially Kerry Bolam, who is a wonderful and helpful staff. Kerry Bolam helped me throughout the process and her dealing was very professional. I recommend this company.

Great service
The customer support was really helpful, efficient and friendly. Better waste managed to beat the price of other suppliers by quite a lot and rushed through the delivery of our bins quickly.

I'm sorry to hear your comments, we do advise our potential customers of the weight allowance of the bin, and the charges applied when setting up the service.
The weight of a bin can be deceptive when looking at it, but certain kinds of waste can be surprisingly heavy. It is also vital the scales on the trucks are accurate to ensure the truck does not exceed the legal limit to be on the road.
I can see we have contacted the supplier to ask them to look into this, our customer service team will keep you informed of the details.
We have checked the progress of your case and can see we fully investigated your concerns and provided evidence to support the weight recorded.
