Ordered an 8 seater picnic table with backs around 3 weeks ago.

Emailed last night just to check on what stage it was up to, to be told it would be delivered this evening or tomorrow. After reading a few reviews on here I was a bit skeptical, especially as we’re quite far away from where the benches are made, but it arrived at 6:30 tonight, after a phonecall a couple of hours earlier to say it was on its way.

Really lovely couple who put it together for us, and enjoyed chatting to them at the end while they fussed the dogs.

They did mention the company is having to expand as they have had so many orders, so just be a little patient if you are still waiting.

Overall a lovely experience.

***BEWARE - Absolute joke of a company***

Bench ordered on the 16th of June and was told it would be delivered Tuesday the 27th of June. Was informed the driver would call when they set off, and again when 1 or 2 hours away. **No bench**

Called and emailed to say there was no bench delivered, however no answer to either until 19:27 that night by email stating that the driver was "a bit behind schedule and should be with you tomorrow. He will call when an hour away"

Next day, no bench, no call, no nothing. On the Thursday (29th) I was conveniently told the driver had contacted me to let me know his van had been stolen on its way to deliver to me, and they were rescheduling delivery. What a load of rubbish. Upon hearing this, i messaged Rob on the WhatsApp number, called them and emailed them telling them i wanted a full refund, yet nothing was done about it. No refund processed, or even any acknowledgment of my request.

Then on the 1st of July (Saturday) I was simply told the driver was setting off Sunday night and should be with me Monday or Tuesday. The driver would contact me and let me know when he was setting off and then again when he was an hour or 2 away, just as before.

Monday - No contact, no call, no response to emails and no information provided when I was told I would get a call back.
Tuesday - No contact, no call, no response to emails and no bench. No response on WhatsApp from Rob the director and no call back as i was promised.

An absolute joke of a company that clearly lie to shut people up. Not so much as a sorry for the inconvenience muttered from anyone's mouth other than what i can i assume is the outsourced receptionist function.

Look forward to a response.

Fantastic service from the point of ordering through to delivery. Delivered and assembled on time, and the quality is fantastic. Would highly recommend. Very happy customer.

I ordered 3 benches on 23 May and paid for them.
On 6June Yuliia told me they would be delivered on Wednesday no sign, emailed again got told driver got held up Cumbria no sign. Five emails later no reply.
On reading other reviews they say they don’t deliver to Scotland I just want my money back.

My Grandad was very happy with his benches. They are extremely good quality and the man who delivered and assembled them was so friendly, polite and helpful. Even when it got dark he still continued until they were finished 🙂

I first contacted Benchuk yesterday in the hope they would be able to supply 6 wood A Frame benches at short notice for an event this weekend (based on other companies contacted I knew this was a big ask) within 24 hours they have all been supplied and assembled here in Bristol which I still can’t believe was possible! I received immediate communication yesterday, and they even assisted with sending them all the way from Southampton even though as my enquiry was out of hours yesterday I was unable to complete payment till this morning! The installer who assembled all 6 is a credit to the company, firstly his level of work not only exceeded my expectations, but more importantly he was a genuinely nice person who took pride in his work without any compromise in the finished items!
I can’t thank everyone I’ve dealt with enough for the level of service from start to finish and honestly recommend Benchuk Ltd to anyone who is looking for a high quality product supplied with the extra touch of a family business that has genuine passion in what they do! Thank You

Bench was top quality, really pleased with the build and how sturdy it is. Good communication on Whatsapp and arrived on time.

I ordered a Heavy Duty Walk-In Bench with Seat Backs, I ordered it on a Saturday and was having a bbq in my garden using it just 5 days later! I'm really sad to see what are clearly bogus reviews coming up here because I couldn't have been happier with my purchase. The bench is great quality, it's so sturdy, with pressure-treated wood too. It was a great price and great quality too. It was even delivered free and assembled for free. Despite the large-sounding name of the company, this is a husband and wife team who clearly work really hard to make affordable and good quality furniture. Shame I can't upload a picture here to show me using the bench, this would be a great way to verify authentic reviews.

Ordered a bench on 10 May. Three dates were given for delivery but it never turned up. By 7 June I was told it MIGHT be delivered following week. I wasn’t prepared to wait any longer as there was no definite delivery date. Very disappointing. I got my refund fairly quickly but all this time wasted and missed the lovely weather. They told me they wouldn’t be taking any more orders for delivery to Scotland but their website doesn’t reflect this.

Great service from Rob and his team. Extremely pleased with the quality of the bench especially for the price. Would highly recommend Benchuk to friends.

Needed a beer table with seat backs and benchUk were the only company offering this at a sensible price. Ordered, paid then waited patiently for contact which came after a couple of weeks. Rob is a charming chap who was trustworthy and engaging. Bench is very good quality and will serve the purpose it is intended for. Will definitely recommend. Great to support a small independent business👍

The only thing preventing me giving a five star review was that once I’d placed the order I heard nothing for 3 weeks despite several emails.
The bench was delivered and assembled in our garden on Thursday and is of very good quality. Solid and sturdy. Rob’s a lovely bloke. All they need to do is improve their communication.

Rob and his team made the experience second to none, very impressive and professional mannerism and very pleased with our purchase.
I highly recommend anyone wishing for a beautiful garden bench to definitely get in touch. A++++++

After placing order, I had to chase BenchUK for a delivery date. Eventually I received an email giving a date the bench would 'probably' be delivered on. No further communication received from them and the bench never turned up. Sham of a company. Payment via Paypal only as a guest to make it more difficult to obtain a refund (although still possible through Paypal).

Update 20/06/23: I see the reply from BenchUK does not acknowledge their terrible communication skills and complete disregard for keeping customers informed of delivery times. Reading other reviews, this is a common complaint. Ironically, if they'd replied to my messages as quickly as they'd responded to my negative review, I wouldn't of had any issues. My email request for a refund was also ignored; fortunately, PayPal were far more efficient.

20,000 benches delivered this year apparently 🤔🤔, exemplary for a company formed 7 months ago, and the method of contact on the website is to message Rob on WhatsApp 😀🤡🎪. Even more impressive when the 'factory address' is actually a house. I bet the Dragons are annoyed they didn't invest - I'll keep an eye out for BenchUK on the FTSE 100.

Incidentally, I sent a message to Rob on WhatsApp on 09/06 and it's still not been read, never mind responded to...

Also, 12 out of 20000 is 0.06%, not 0.0006%, although I'm more inclined to think 12 refunds out of 20 purchases is more realistic.

We received our bench yesterday and assembled we couldn’t be more pleased. The bench is thick wood and very sturdy the delivery guy was very helpful and checked over our bench after building to make sure all was ok. Would definitely recommend they seem to be the best priced and only company doing free assembly- fantastic thank you so much 😊
