Engagement Ring - Advice & Purchase
Came in for advice on an engagement ring and all the staff were absolutely amazing! Mariana helped me pick the perfect ring and spent a lot of time going through every option with me - something I hadn’t had in previous jewellers. She really really cared about me picking the right one for my engagement and I was so happy with the service.
Everyone was super friendly and Jean helped arrange a next day delivery as I was going away 4 days later. Super super happy thank you all!!
When I came to collect, Gorgea helped talk through the insurance side of things and again was super helpful.
I couldn’t recommend this jewellers enough - as someone who hasn’t got a clue about jewellery; these people really took their time and helped me with every query - thank you all so much!

Friendly staff, Mariana is so lovely and helpful!
From the moment we walked in to the Chester store the team have always been so welcoming and helpful. We were helped by Mariana on the day and she was so thorough and took time to help us find the perfect wedding rings (even though we hadn't booked an appointment!). Emails were answered back quickly and delivery of the rings were so quick too. When we went to pick-up our rings we also received a lovely gift which is such a nice touch! I can't thank Mariana and the team enough.

Knowledgeable and caring advisors who will meet your every engagement ring need
As soon as I walked into the shop I was warmly greeted by Georgea, who for every step of the process was absolutely brilliant. I’d been to a few shops before and hadn’t found the perfect engagement ring but I found this at Austen and Blake. Georgea was so attentive to what I wanted and did everything possibly to ensure the ring fit in my price range, was the right size, the perfect style and I couldn’t be more thankful for her knowledgeable and caring service. From ensuring we got the style/diamond/metal just right to sending me videos of different carat diamonds when I couldn’t decide, I couldn’t speak highly enough of her service.
I proposed to my now fiancée a couple of days ago (she said yes!) and she thought the ring was absolutely perfect and I’m so happy I went into Austen and Blake that day!
If you’re shopping around for a ring I’d highly recommend Austen and Blake and Georgea, what was a stressful experience was made so smooth by their knowledge and attentive service.

Great experience
As someone who doesn’t wear jewellery, buying wedding rings was a bit of an odd day for me. I have to give Mariana all the credit in the world though, she made it a genuinely pleasant experience. Absolutely incredible friendly service from Mariana & Jean.
We went to look at rings and Mariana was so knowledgeable and helpful - Jean also was very friendly as soon as we walked in. Great Service and Quality
Had a great experience at the Shop in chester with a good Service. Staff took plenty of time to discuss various designs and explained differences. Also good hospitality with drinks offered. Very friendly and uncomplicated.

"Lifetime Manufacturing Guarantee" beware
After being initially very impressed with Austin & Blake and the service, especially in person when we needed to change the size of my engagement ring, my recent experiences have been very poor.
The stone in my ring became lose so we went in to the Chester store to see if we could get this fixed under the Lifetime Manufacturing Guarantee.
We were completely ignored by the sales person. We did not have an appointment but she was pretending she couldn't even see us when we were trying to her her attention, its a small space so very awkward. I would have at least expected her to say "sorry we are fully booked" rather than ignoring us entirely. We went in 5 times throughout the day so there is no way she was unaware we wanted help, we even waited half an hour while she had a vape break outside of the store and were still not acknowledged.
We went away and booked an appointment for another day. They took the ring and sent the ring off for repair (this process was quick and easy!) but they have come back and said it was damaged.
The ring was worn for less than 6 months and nothing usual or likely to cause damage happened - just normal daily wear.
We are now faced with an £89 charge for a service that we could have had done locally for £30. The warranty is completely meaningless and I imagine they never accept repairs under it, unless the issue is flagged within the first few days where they would legally have to anyway.
Just be aware that the "Lifetime Manufacturing Guarantee" is worthless.
Really disappointed as I really like the ring and on my first visit to store thought they were extremely professional and helpful, with great insights and advice. My experiences since then have made me reluctant to recommend them.
