Great Company and great service

Stay away at all cost

Stay away at all cost. Mover anyvan found damaged apartment lift for 375€. They promised insurance but it was not there. They didn’t care and left me with mover alone. Terrible service. Ref no: 8934316

Appalling customer service

The move on 21/9 was fine. I paid 3 weeks in advance. I’ve now paid on 28/9 the agreed storage fee. However they charged my account an extra £35 on 22/9. I’ve tried contacting customer service to find out why and they never answer the phone.

Do NOT under any circumstances trust…

Do NOT under any circumstances trust this company. I booked a removal of furniture with them to be taken abroad from Ireland to Spain. I paid over a thousand euro up in total upfront, but the delivery guy never showed up. When I phoned AnyVan they suggested that it wasn't their problem despite taking over 400euro in fees from me without delivery of the job. They are truely the worst sham of a company i ever encountered.

The price offered by AnyVan is very…competitive

The price offered by AnyVan is very competitive - that's the main advantage. As far as I can see they use a range of drivers and essentially act as a middle-man between you and the driver. This does create potential issues in communication and it can make nailing down a specific delivery date somewhat difficult. I did have an anxious week before Jonathan from AnyVan was able to get the driver Bertrand to agree to a specific date. I was very limited because I was moving items from Ireland to London and I had to book flights to be there for the collection and delivery - I was also limited in terms of delivery time as I wasn't living at the property at the time. Although initially I was a bit anxious, AnyVan were very helpful in linking me up with the driver, and in the end everything was collected and delivered within the specified dates. Obviously drivers are only going to travel from Ireland to the UK if they have a very large consignment or several consignments, so you do pay a lower price for this reason but you have less control over arrangements. My sense is that other companies who maybe have their own drivers are much more expensive. None of the items we were moving were very valuable so I was happy with this arrangement , and in any case everything arrived safely. Bertrand was a very good communicator once we had agreed the date range.

Easy to use, good value for money

Easy to use, got multiple quotes within two days, had transportation arranged within 48hrs of order placement. Service was very smooth throughout. I intend to use again in the future.

Worst company to exist

If I could give 0 stars, I honestly would. This was not just a bad experience – it was a nightmare from start to finish, made worse by the constant broken promises and lack of care shown by both the driver and AnyVan themselves. Moving house is already stressful enough, but moving from Ireland to the UK with family, pets, and all our belongings should have been handled with professionalism and reliability. Instead, we were met with lies, delays, excuses, and complete indifference once AnyVan had taken our money.

At the beginning, everything looked promising. The booking agent was polite, helpful, and efficient in taking the deposit. But the moment they had our payment, the tone changed completely. Calls went unanswered, I was told I’d get call backs that never came, and from then on, it felt like we were completely on our own.

We were assigned to a driver from B. Movers/MoveBy. He accepted our job for the date we wanted, only to later admit he had another booking that clashed. He then pushed us to move earlier, to the 1st of August. We agreed reluctantly, but then he ignored my texts and calls until the 31st – literally the day before. That was the first of many broken promises. Eventually he rescheduled to the 5th of August, saying he would call me that morning. That day came, and again nothing. No call, no show, no explanation until I chased him. He then claimed his truck had problems. Mechanical issues can happen, but when you keep promising updates and never follow through, it shows a complete lack of respect for your customers.

This became the pattern of our entire move. Promise after promise, all broken. He told me he would call back in the evening with an update – nothing. He told me he would visit the house before moving day to make sure everything would fit – he never showed up. He told us delivery would be on specific days, and then simply didn’t turn up, didn’t answer calls, and only admitted afterwards that there were “personal issues” or “truck problems.” Each time, we were left hanging, waiting, hoping, and each time we were let down again. The emotional toll of living in constant uncertainty, with all our belongings and medication in his possession, was enormous.

When he finally collected our belongings on the 13th of August – a full 8 days after the promised date – he said delivery would be within a few days. We were left without beds, appliances, clothes, or medication, while also trying to manage travel plans and two dogs. Instead of easing the stress of an international move, this service made it ten times harder. And again, delivery didn’t happen when promised. We were told it would be the 17th/18th, then the 21st, then the 24th, then the 25th which he eventually arrived on the . Every single one of those dates was a lie. We had placed an AirTag in our belongings, so we could see exactly where the truck was – his excuses didn’t even match reality.

During all of this, I reached out to AnyVan for support, expecting them to step in. Instead, I was met with dismissiveness and excuses. One advisor, R actually told me we should “remember the driver is doing this for cheap” – despite us paying €2241, which is not cheap at all. He also tried to claim a week-long delivery was “normal,” when we were originally promised next-day. That’s not just a broken promise, it’s false advertising. When I pushed back, I was told we were “calling too much” and that they had other clients. To be told that, after weeks of stress, while my family was left without essentials, was deeply insulting.

The most upsetting part of all this was not just the delays or the excuses, but the constant cycle of being told one thing and experiencing another. We were promised calls that never came, delivery dates that never happened, and reassurance that was completely empty. At every stage we were left chasing, waiting, and being let down again and again. It wasn’t just poor service – it felt like we were lied to, strung along, and abandoned.

To summarise:
• The driver was unreliable, unprofessional, and dishonest, breaking every single commitment he made to us.
• AnyVan defended him instead of helping, excusing his behaviour and treating us as if we were the problem for demanding updates.
• Our belongings were delayed nearly a month, we were stranded without basics, and our move became far more stressful than it ever needed to be.

This was one of the most upsetting experiences I’ve ever had with a company. Instead of making a difficult move easier, AnyVan and their driver made it unbearable. I would never use them again, and I would strongly warn others to avoid them too. Professionalism: 0/10. Reliability: 0/10. Communication: 0/10. If I could give negative stars, I would.

They don't care about customers

I had hired a transport company via this website, to transport a complete kitchen from Dublin to Longford. When unloading the furniture, a big granite worktop was destroyed, it fell down and broke in hundreds of pieces. Apparently the transporter does not have an appropriate insurance and doesn't care at all. I have tried several times to contact anyvan to get some assistance with this, but they don't even reply to my messages. Can't recommend them, they only want to make money and then, if there is a problem, they simply don't care.

Service was great

Service was great! The only reason I give 4 star is because the bed was not well reassembled, the nails were lose and bed parts fell out, leaving me to fix them in the end. But overall, they were great! Great value! Thanks!

Delivery times are not within usual working hours.

Having said they would look into my booking for today I have heard nothing from customer service. The driver informed me that he won’t be here til after 16:30 and won’t deliver til 8pm. The customer service who I held on for 15 mins now informed me that driver isn’t correct and can deliver at 6-6:30pm. The driver has again told me not correct and can’t get there til earliest 19:30. This is not within normal office hours. I also ticked the box of a driver plus helper and they sent just one person
